There's a lot to like about induction cooking, especially when you can do it anyplace there's an outlet. You can turn any counter or table into a stove and boil, brown, sauté, and fry exactly as you would on a full-sized appliance with the best portable induction cooktop. Portable induction cooktops are stylish, easy to clean, and safe to use because they don't have an open flame. They reach the desired temperature in an astoundingly short amount of time, allowing for far greater precision and temperature control than ordinary electric or gas ranges.
If you want to add more cooking surfaces to a tiny kitchen or if you routinely host large events and run out of stove space, a portable induction burner might be suitable for you. They're ideal for sprucing up a college dorm room or bringing it along on your next camping trip (much better than the standard hot plate). They also provide an easy-to-store option if your rental has a faulty electric burner. Knowing you need a portable induction cooktop is only the first step; deciding which type to buy is the real challenge.

I have used a portable induction for 10 years. From making eggs to deep frying. Never had a issue, in fact my new house will have induction cook top as a must.

Hi Westley. May I ask you what's the brand-name for this portable induction you've got, please? I'm in research to find one of three most reliable ones on the market but Amazon reviews, specially low star ones, make me very hesitant in choosing something.
      Thanks in advance.

At the end you said the Duxtop is your top pick. If that's true, why did you list it at #4 in the video instead of #1?

Hey dude the Duxtop was the one you named. It was the MC not the LS.

Before moving to induction, I researched the portable models. The same weakness prevented me from considering any of them. A portable induction cooktop is only as good as the 20 amp AC circuit that supplies it. This translates to @ 1500 watts, which is insufficient to operate a very large induction coil. The result is hotspots and general underperformance. We ended up with a GE Profile induction range, and really enjoy it.

A thicker pan absorbs heat faster and more evenly.

@@yixnorb5971 I agree, but it does not change my conclusion as stated above.

NuWave was my favorite. No longer. The thin fllexible plastic printed cover over the buttons degrades, cracks and delaminates. I now use an Isiler, with touch sensitive controls safely located under a glass top.

Nu wave buttons are backstab. Oh yours is glass buttons? Sounds good if so

Regarding the NuWave induction stovetop. Because of 2 different selection panel failings, I had to throw away 2 different stovetops. A 3rd panel failed and I called up NuWave to complain. They sold me a replacement panel for $8-. I wish I had known that before. Thanks for nothing, NuWave.
I do like the ability to make 10degree temperature changes that NuWave offers. If only some other company would build a reasonably price stovetop, with the subtle temperature range of the NuWave. Bottom line, I feel that NuWave is a cheep piece of equipment, who's products are built not to last.

I own several nuwave products. always been happy except when the button at the top of my nuwave pressure cooker was defective and when I called nuwave they pretty much told me so what. Will never do business with them again.

I'm in the market now for an induction cooktop. They are supposed to be parrot safe and are a good alternative to my old electric stove that smokes and gas stoves that put out carbon monoxide.
My only concern is that this works off of electo-magnetism. Does anyone know if this puts out insane levels of EMFs? That's another dangerous thing I hate- EMF and EMR, 5G, etc.
