Pile 3, absolutely wild with the wizard of oz references, I talked about it today for the first time in prob a decade. He lied about who he was + his addictions, tried to stay sober, but ultimately just didn’t want to and chose drugs/alcohol over me. He left without a conversation, which is where that sense of waiting comes from, wondering if he’ll ever pop back up to explain himself. Thank you💖

Pile 3: I had just been describing my ex as the Wizard of Oz recently! WFT!! And the gutting feeling of glimpsing behind the curtain and realizing that he actually has had zero idea what he's doing the entire time. He's just been back there, frantically pushing buttons and flipping knobs. Impostor Syndrome. I think he might be on the spectrum and was perhaps mimic-ing what he had seen people do or say in movies, because the romantic stuff always rang slightly inauthentic or he'd even glitch out at times. He really did get in way over his head. What a gigantic, painful confusing mess. He broke every vow, every promise, he just bailed so hard. I can't even be angry at the guy even though he really did break my heart into a million pieces.
