I would have them wait on this until they have absorbed more of the narrative material and actually seen an explainer first. For me, I don't get much out of reactions that are completely uninformed going in, because I'd rather learn something new from what they observe, rather than feeling like, okay, they don't have a clue. I have stuck with these guys mainly because it is fun to see their growing appreciation of our boys.

Because they didn't have much money back then, they always gave it their all and spent all the money to increase the quality of their stuff instead of upgrading their lifestyle. What they lacked in funds, They made up with creativity in camera work and skills.

It says YOUTH because this is from their trilogy of albums talking about youth and the joys and pains of growing up. BAEPSAE and DOPE, which like FIRE also talk about how the older generations look down on the youth of today, comes from the same trilogy. More must-see videos from the Youth Trilogy:

I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone asking you to react to Blood Sweat & Tears yet. It's an amazing song and especially the music video is top notch and has so many little hints and hidden meanings that you need a separate video to explain it.

I don’t think they’re ready for that yet, lol- which is why I haven’t recommended it. It’s one of my top favorite. Plus they started their reactions a bit different from others- they focused a lot on the rap line of group.
@@ijustwannabehappier-v4973 Blood, Sweat, and Tears is based on Demian, a book about evil and good and how they balance the world. It's a classic doppelganger novel. There isn't really any LGBTQ+ hidden messages or meanings.

Actually both Fire and Baepsae are from the same album (The Most Beautiful Moment in Life pt.2). Fire was the single for that album.

Guys, going back to their hip-hop unit, you really really gotta see the Cypher Medley ft Supreme Boi (that's one of their in house producers) (there's one with English subtitles) and their Tear performance (there are also a couple with English subtitles, any you pick is fine).

Their choreography for this song is INTENSE! I came across their dance practice video for this song back when I was just getting introduced to BTS, and it honestly left me speechless. As soon as I picked my jaw up off the floor, I sent it to pretty much everyone I knew 😂

I discovered BTS in mid 2021 so I’m new ARMY at age 65. I can’t believe how good everything they do is. Everything little movement, gesture, choreography and lyric has meaning. “Fire” is just insane on so many levels. 💜💜
BTS' discography is insane and there are no bad songs! whatever mood you're in, theres a BTs song for that. the beat, the lyrics, the production, the choreo- its all DOPE! and FIRE!
When you just curious about BTS, and start to watch their videos and ended up an Army. Haha! We are all been through that phase. 😂💜
“We have been living under a ROCK”! Yea, and MANY ARE STILL THERE!! Get the NEWS OUT: BTS HAS IT GOING ON!!
BTS has so many great songs, my BTS Spotify playlist is more than 200 songs long :D Dope and Fire where my first songs I heard from them and I got hooked immediately. :) And when I discovered BU (storyline running through some MVs, videos, comics,...) I knew I'm too deep in the rabbit hole. :D
Anyway, from older songs I can recommend "Danger" (dance practice video is insane), "Save Me" (one shot MV, you already heard live version in Tiny Desk), "Spine Breaker" (fun MV made by members themselves), my other favorite B-sides are "Boyz with Fun", "Attack on Bangtan" or "Ma City". ("I Need U" is great, but it's the first MV in the storyline and I'm not sure if it isn't too soon for you to go to the BU)
From Wings era definitely "Blood, Sweat and Tears" or "Not Today". ("Am I Wrong" is my favorite B-side from this time)
And from newer eras - catchy songs are for example "DNA", "Fake Love", my favorites are also "134340" (that's reference for Pluto) and "Paradise", "Louder than Bombs", "Lights" (japanese) and "Heartbeat" (from soundtrack to mobile game BTS world, beautiful movie-like MV). And "Life Goes On" (MV directed by Jungkook) is such a comforting song in pandemic times.
And when I'm talking about comforting songs, they have quite a lot of songs dedicated to fans, such as "2! 3!" or "Magic Shop" (first song written by Jungkook)
I'm so sorry, I just realized I wrote so many songs here. I don't want to overwhelm you. I just have a really hard time to pick my favorites, and I didn't even go to their solos, vocal line/rap line songs or collabs or soundcloud releases or their more melancholic songs. :D Sorry again. It's really nice to see people enjoying their music and I always get carried away.

Amazed no one has suggested any of the early dance practices. Must watch. Also, every award show performance this group has ever done has been epic, but especially for this song, "Idol", "Fake Love", "Boy Meets Evil",... You know what? Just look up BTS and MMA awards or the MAMA awards - all of them from 2013 or 2014 to present. There is a reason they keep getting asked to perform. The battle with Block B at the 2014 awards was awesome - especially the dance battle part. Also, be aware that there are different awards shows for Korea, Hong Kong, Japan,...etc. So don't miss out.
Its about burning down the expectations society has (especially for young people) and living your life for yourself and not others.
It's such a good feeling to see others enjoy BTS and their music I just can't explain it-
Reason they can dance and sing so awesome is cuz of the countless hrs of practice! They came from sleeping in one bedroom 7 beds to where they are now. They worked so hard! I love watching yalls expression....cuz you have the same faces many ARMY have with them. You can help but love em!! Going to their concerts in LA was priceless! You must watch their performances live!

“Not Today” another cool song
I think that I just might enjoy watching people learning to appreciate BTS more than actually watching BTS sometimes. They have so much to offer, watching you go down the rabbit hole is a joy. I grew up in the 70s and 80s and I like a wide variety of music and artists but I'm always looking for more good music and it's really great to see other people who are at least open to something new. BTS is on top for a reason and it becomes apparent pretty quickly once you get into some songs. I think some people stay away because 'it's only k-pop' but they are missing out. An open mind can take you places, and thank you, gentlemen, for being willing. Music can grow us if we allow it.

Another good one is Tear. It's the rap line again and they wrote it when they were having a hard time thinking about disbanding.

I always say; FIRE brought me to BTS but Epiphany made me stay. Seeing BTS' different genres really made me interested and fulfilled all my different music moods. In the middle of the night I come across the 2016 MAMA Awards, where the clip, I later found out, was the end of Blood, Sweat & Tears and then a moment later, I watched the most amazing performance of FIRE at an awards show. I had to find out more about this group.

I’ve really enjoyed watching all of your videos! It’s like reliving my journey to becoming an army. But it made me laugh when you talked about RM’s hair length! Because you’ve gone from literally knowing nothing about the band to knowing enough about them to recognize one’s hair length! Please note that while Ida S’s video is in useful as general introduction, musicians will likely find some of her footage selection NAIVE, because she is not musically knowledgeable or discerning as an editor. I wish someone would tell her not to include segments of some members just fooling around with instruments as beginners/dabblers... it’s cringy and contributes to diminishing their genuine talents in the eyes of many people out there who are actually adept at playing instruments, e.g. as anyone in the rock band tradition. Because of this, I would personally NOT recommend Ida S’s Intro to savvy musicians…
Asian Theory would be better for these two… the narrative arc of their developmental journey is informative and does the job of introducing the individual members as well.

I agree with WiseOwl2020. Plus, I think Ida S video is a spoiler because she shows some of the very best performances of each of the guys. I think this is why we ARMY like her video. We get to relive our favorite parts.

It’s always fun to see people realize that BTS isn’t new or just a “boy band” they have been churning out hits for 8 years. Their ballads are equally high quality and yes the ridiculously huge back catalog is so good. Next Id listen to Dope which you can hear them listening to at the beginning. As with all songs (you’ll get tired of us very wordy Army saying this) thus had more meaning things are t just random. I love the ideas in this song too it’s not just an amazing high energy track. Live of course it’s ridiculous. They shook the whole area so much in a live award show performance you could see other artists Sears shaking from how hard they and their huge number of backup dancers were jumping etc. They performed this in LA at the concerts a week ago because it’s still a fan favorite after 5 years.

Of course I love this but I always think of Taehyung when he was asked what his favourite lyrics were and, with a totally straight face, he replied, ‘All fire, bow, wow, wow.’ Yoongi is associated with fire in the BU. His lines in this are iconic. I hold my breath waiting for him to say, ‘Bultaoreune’ (rough spelling) each time.
