Every time I watch Grace and Mamrie (but especially now with these guests), it really makes me miss what the internet used to be. YT was such an amazing creative space. Now it’s just a $hit show that only cares about cancelling ppl and harassing other viewers.
I love them, but I'm not sure they are OG youtubers in the same way these people are. They've been working for a long time, but not with their own channels until like 2-3 years ago. I do think Mamrie and Joslyn have such different energies that it would be fun to see them interact 😂
Mamrie not being muted as she leaves the set is honestly the fault of the sound guy not paying attention, if you ask me (and also if that's their procedure, they should have warned her BEFORE they began the day cause I realize everyone runs different ships). I tell my stage actors to not speak IMMEDIATELY upon exiting the stage so the mixer has time to mute them but they can use the bathroom backstage without concern of ruining a scene. That's insane.
It's so good to hear her natural, normal voice. I stopped watching her cooking videos years ago because I couldn't stand the fake presenter voice she puts on in most of those videos. It never felt natural.
