Her parents told her that she can be only a "doctor, engineer or lawyer"? She definitely has Indian parents who are first generation immigrants. I can bet on it.
after seeeing this interview we can not say it that she choose to become a co orporate lawyer by family preassure .........she choose it because she lke to talk the pepole and to argument
Her best point was the last one, around 8-9 minutes. Those going to law school greatly underestimate how damaging it is to work in a job you hate and is soul-crushing. While you're working hard to fulfill the dreams of others and lining their pockets, life has passed you by. I've always been very realistic and certainly have never been rich, but I will still say there's a lot of merit in doing work that you truly care about it. Lawyers are paper-pushers and as such there's rarely any emotional attachment to our work; while others dream big we keep pushing precedent and bygone rules. My perception may be wrong, and while Sabrina seems content, she's similar to how many lawyers are: no passion or enthusiasm when they talk about their work. Compare this to people who actually create something-- tangible or otherwise--and have followed their dreams, and notice the difference. Years in the legal field and I finally choose the latter.
I agree so much with you on that one. After having studied Law for 4 years (getting my LLB and working as a Paralegal in a law firm while doing my Masters), I realized I was not passionate by it, nor were the lawyers surrounding me every day. I had this utopic vision of the justice system where lawyers were the saviors of human's fate and not just paper-pushers, as you very wisely put it. So now I am changing my career path and going into something completely different, which will probably make less money, but won't make me feel miserable. Props to you for sharing your experience :)
Hi pls help me make me figure out.. I really liked your ideology. I am at crossroads in my life. I like teaching but it is not very reputated or good moneytarily and i am doing llb but i have no interest in politics, giving opinions on everything or speaking publicly.Should I do llb and then if I dont like it should I do teaching. Please help
Ruchika Soin I know you didn't ask me specifically, but it seems to me you already answered your question. You want to be a teacher but want a nice status and the money. Instead, you are going to do something you don't like. However I do believe that you will be miserable if continue down the path you are leading.
Ok, got it...look outside the traditional career box and go after what makes you happy and not so much the money, ivy league, advanced degree...but look at those happy in their careers as guidance. Hmmmm
corporate lawyers start off making 100k lol, with experience they can easily make over 1 million per year, especially if you are managing partner or a senior.

Palash Srivastava she doesn't look indian as she's probably muslim. Looks more like Arabic or south asian like bangladesh or pakistan
Hahaha. I thought the same.. She must be from Pakistan or India
BTW muslim population in india is 200 million and pakistan has 190 million Bangladesh has 160 million. So there is huge difference
thats not specific to india
First immigration parents do not know many jobs. There are far more interesting and successful career paths but they are limited in their knowledge
I like this lady. She gives very good advice on ways to maximize your hard work by networking. God bless her. She's an animal.
She's a corporate lawyer, so she's vermin.
Why did you become a corporate lawyer?
Her response: I was indoctrinated (brainwashed) by my parents.
after seeeing this interview we can not say it that she choose to become a co orporate lawyer by family preassure .........she choose it because she lke to talk the pepole and to argument
If this was a job interview, and she said that, there'd be a 0% chance of getting the job
this video really helped me out, thank you so much

What kind of jobs had she in mind, when she spoke about other kinds of work?

great information
The answers don't always quite line up with the preceding questions.....
She's a corporate lawyer, so she's not used to giving a straight answer. Lying likely comes easily to her.
Jealous much? Easy way to spot someone who was born into a world of opportunity and chose to not do anything with it.
wow that went from 0 to 100 quite quickly
More like the questions don't line up
The video editor messed up.
Great agrument which she is given by her confident.l like it❤️

You could only be Doctor, Lawyer or Engineer? Are you sure you didn’t have Nigerian parents?
I'm really curious what jobs/or industries the "people that are truly happy " have. Were the law degrees necessary for these positions?
Josh Han I've spoken to a few nurses that really loved their jobs.
Spoken to many who left law into real estate development, investment management and even authors but last one takes real talent and hard to crack.
I want to ask a question. At what age can you become a lawyer if you don’t take any breaks and you go straight into university?
