    Who’s listening in November 2022??The patriotic spirits of the musicians of this era can’t be replicated - it’s like gold durst , they understood they had a role to bring hope to the people even where there seemed to be little hope or despair. They brought hope, a feeling that things will be ok, that their quest for recognition, equality, humanity won’t be futile. True legends

    I love this oldies so much remind me of my mom I am a Namibian but my mom stayed in Durban and she is even buried there may her soul rest in peace with some musician who are gone.

    These songs take me back to the 80s when life was very simple,there was the problem of apartheid but in Transkei(Lady Frere Machubeni) we were not feeling it coz apartheid applied only in black n white areas(RSA). Those days will never never come back.

    There was a grootman who played for Our Club Swallows in Machubeni Lady Frere Eastern Cape he played No4 we called him "Bhut Skorokoro" very quiet but very effective on the ball that was 1986.

    There could be never real music like it use to be compared to this only timely songs being produced to date! I grew up rocking to this genuine genres up to date especially when am visiting my father who still got a bundle of piled cassettes and old discs on his files. Weekend special album was my late mums favourite album of her time, it still fresh in my memories 🙏
