Who’s listening in November 2022??The patriotic spirits of the musicians of this era can’t be replicated - it’s like gold durst , they understood they had a role to bring hope to the people even where there seemed to be little hope or despair. They brought hope, a feeling that things will be ok, that their quest for recognition, equality, humanity won’t be futile. True legends
I love this oldies so much remind me of my mom I am a Namibian but my mom stayed in Durban and she is even buried there may her soul rest in peace with some musician who are gone.

Since the late 90s during my primary school in south Sudan, We danced to these songs during days of the battle field and they offered us encouragement to respect unity of our people.
Many of the elderly person become surprised when they find mi listening to these tunes ....not knowing what they posses ....i say these songs posses love ,unity, freedom and mostly happiness amongst black people
I remember when mama Yvonne chaka chaka visited my country,i was only 10,she sung the same song live on stadium, and we couldn't stop dancing. life is jst like a movie.

It reminds me of my secondary years in Tanzania! This was the 1980’s. These hits were actually hitting hard. Thanks to South African vibes creators. These hits will remain hiiting forever as they talked about love, peace and unity. Rest in peace all fallen stars.
My best time ever, poor as a church mouse but very happy and content. Hadn’t visited my hometown so life was all about my little village and primary school.

These songs take me back to the 80s when life was very simple, there was the problem of apartheid but in Transkei(Lady Frere Machubeni) we were not feeling it coz apartheid applied only in black n white areas(RSA). Those days will never never come back.
