@@bensgadgetreviews I just bought a Vivo X70 Pro Plus, I have not had it outside yet, I just use it in the house but when I try the 4 Zeiss effects, it does not have the background bokeh swirl effect which I see on some videos and can you change the app icons from round circles to square style app icons.
The natural bokeh from the back camera on the video footage is just amazing. No need of cinematic mode or Portrait video. Just a great canera set up overall. The night and low light images are dope.

Very fair review, It really give me some hope on Pixel Pro 6 using the same main sensor as Vivo X70 Pro + without Zeiss collab (the cotating glass is insane) but with Google custom ISP and algo
@@mitismee Considering that this phone has one of the better cameras when it comes to low light, it will be really interesting to see how it stacks up against pixel 6 pro. I guess that will be the deciding factor apart from the availability of that phone in making a purchase decision

X70 pro+: Selfie cam, when running, stable, no jittering, auto focus Ip13: selfie cam is shaking. My 2 cents observation. Main cam auto mode during night is really amazing

I have the Vivo X70 pro plus since the release (China version) and I am really satisfied with the phone so far! Great pictures and I am really happy they finally included the water and dust resistance and the stereo speakers
I watched this on my Vivo X60 Pro and I agree with you that it's the best for lowlights and indoors camera. It's also very accurate on objects and vegetations, but a little bit over expose when it detects human's face, but not to the point to be highly noticed. Looking at this video Vivo might have added more details and contrast in the pictures than the X60 series.
we can call day time camera performance is best on both phone but i prefer the lowlight performance of iphone still just because it gives me the night feeling and very sharp which i always prefer for lowlight,, i know vivo is good in brighten up all the dark but it doesn't give me the night feeling,,,the beauty of the night is the dark
Poor ben, running and sweating all day for a proper comparison :) Stability on the vivo is insanely good. Sometimes i still like the night shots on the iPhone more because it looks more like night and not just brightened heavily. But, definitely an interesting device. Lets see if vivo launches in germany someday.
You're wrong,If you think the picture is too bright, you can turn down the brightness,Just slide your finger when shooting.But,If the picture is too dark,Increase the brightness of the picture and you can't see the details of the dark part

Damn, pinned against the new iphone. Vivo has gone a long way with their camera works Those image look crisp af, and on night time theres basically zero light flares, I'm guessing its because the Zeiss team up. Downside: nitpicking here, imo color still tiny bit oversaturated and trees look processed on low light. I've been using Vivo phone for some time now and pretty satisfied with the expirience. Phone is well built, OS is really good, it got features that you need, and when my phone acting up once, there is a customer service bloatware that works, they walk me through by that app, and theres even a sparepart pricelist on that app incase we need to fix something.

Vivo x70p plus camera really amazing ..even if s22 ultra will come in January that camera will be just minor improvement over s21 ultra not so magical difference you get ..Also considered the price s22 ultra will cost more than 110k where Vivo price 80k

Thank you for uploading this one, Ben - I've been eagerly awaiting your thoughts on the X70 Pro+. I'm going to import the CN model as I like the look of Origin OS. Two things Vivo missed here I think: 1) That reflective panel on the back should be a second screen like the Mi11 Ultra. Then do away with the front punch hole for a flawless display. 2) They should have used the 3D Max finger print sensor from the IQOO 8 Pro. Otherwise, looks like a great phone and can't wait to order one in orange!

Fantastic review, Ben. I've been salivating over this phone ever since it was announced. Might just be the one to finally replace my Oppo Reno 10x Zoom with.
Its a shame there is no wide/ultrawide switching in video recording, i use that quite a lot when recording my kids. Other than that, very very impressive.
The night time photos are insane! It's definitely the best night time photo camera phone this year and the ultrawide is flagship level too really amazing shots from the ultrawide.
The gimbal stabilisation is really so good, although iPhone still wins in terms of quality with the detail it can capture. Still, the night mode in Ultra Wide really blows the iPhone out of the water with the details. The not being able to swap between ultra wide and wide cameras for video recording is quite the bummer though
Just the video I was waiting to see! Both are really good. Gotta give it to the Vivo most of the low light shots looked better on it (especially from the ultra wide lens). But the iPhone’s no slouch either, I was surprised to see some of the zoom photos actually looked better on it despite the Vivo having a 5X zoom lens
the only problem for me seems to be that skin tones appear lighter, it's always with chinese phones that my tan gets washed away by the processing and i look like a ghost
Seriously, the packaging of this smartphone is refreshing, everything is there in the box, thank you Vivo 🙏🏽. But why didn't you put the gimbal on the main camera? 🤔 Because in general it is the most used camera and especially the ultra wide angle is basically better stabilized than standard cameras. Ah also Ben in all the other tests it is said that this smartphone has wireless charging and even up to 50w. Also it's true that a screen on the back would have been great for vloggers and selfie lovers, surely next time🤞🏽.

So Ben, there's no reflective artifacts (flares) on the X70 Pro cameras like on iPhone??? That is so annoying and makes night shots (especially videos) useless on iPhones... what a shame Apple.
Okay, really interesting and well done video. What can you say about the quality of the audio recording through the microphone though? In several scenes of your video you can hear that, when you were filming with the iPhone, the rendering of the voice was much more natural and full-bodied. In comparison, the voice recorded with Vivo sounded canned and tinny. Let's remember that the quality of the microphones, in a social and CZcamsr key, is very important.
I still prefer the look of the orange leather on the original X50 pro+ to the bright orange on the X60 pro+. I do wonder how much of an upgrade this is to the X60 pro+. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see you compare all the cameras on these flagship phones 😊.
HOW does this phone consistently beat the iPhone in every photo... it looks sharper, more detailed, and has more colour in shadows... I'm baffled. Can you do a comparison against the S21 Ultra cameras??
iPhone has a better main camera and better video, Vivo has a better ultra wide and better low light...so its not the sweep you want it to be. Samsung is not even a competitor for either of these phones tbh
Either this or the Pixel 6 Pro is what I will wait to see when it is released in a couple weeks. Vivo has come a long way but living in the USA the mark up will be crazy just like the Vivo X60 Pro plus. Love your videos.

seeing funtouch's dynamic widget made me remember that in MIUI 5 (2015) there was a feature where you could swipe down on music app and a small player will pop up where you could see and control what's playing. MIUI 5 & MIUI 6 were really fun and feature rich at that time.

Now thats a camera where the pictures AND video are pretty much either best in class or just very good. Video is good even in low light, quite keeping up with the iphone and thats a real accomplishment. I think the optics are what make this camera, they give a really natural feeling and dont have any artefacts. Also the V1 chip is really helping here, viewfinder is showing the same results as the picture you take. Pretty much after experiencing deeply dissapointing bugs and lags and just overall having a bad experience on my 12promax which completely crashed today too, id switch it to the Vivo in a second if it were for sale in my country.

That's the one thing I dislike about my X60 Pro+ camera, that it raises the exposure when it detects a face. Wish I could turn it off.
Vivo is a very underrated company.
It comes with everything charger, earphone, a case and a headphone jack dongle... Box is awesome...

Its a shame there is no wide/ultrawide switching in video recording, i use that quite a lot when recording my kids.

Vivo X70 Pro Plus is a photography and video monster.
The night time photos are insane! It's definitely the best night time photo camera phone this year and the ultrawide is flagship level too really amazing shots from the ultrawide.
Perfect comparison in low light 👌
The gimbal stabilisation is really so good, although iPhone still wins in terms of quality with the detail it can capture. Still, the night mode in Ultra Wide really blows the iPhone out of the water with the details.
The not being able to swap between ultra wide and wide cameras for video recording is quite the bummer though

Just the video I was waiting to see! Both are really good. Gotta give it to the Vivo most of the low light shots looked better on it (especially from the ultra wide lens). But the iPhone’s no slouch either, I was surprised to see some of the zoom photos actually looked better on it despite the Vivo having a 5X zoom lens

Because in general it is the most used camera and especially the ultra wide angle is basically better stabilized than standard cameras.

It's so cool the optical bokeh is so great and not just "calculated" like iPhone. Also, the color in the night shots is amazing!
So Ben, there's no reflective artifacts (flares) on the X70 Pro cameras like on iPhone???
That is so annoying and makes night shots (especially videos) useless on iPhones... what a shame Apple.

Okay, really interesting and well done video.
What can you say about the quality of the audio recording through the microphone though? In several scenes of your video you can hear that, when you were filming with the iPhone, the rendering of the voice was much more natural and full-bodied. In comparison, the voice recorded with Vivo sounded canned and tinny. Let's remember that the quality of the microphones, in a social and CZcamsr key, is very important.

Hey Ben, does it have the option to record from an external mic (headphones or other) like Samsung and Asus?
Not that I know of. But if you plug in a compatible usb c mic it will record with that mic
I still prefer the look of the orange leather on the original X50 pro+ to the bright orange on the X60 pro+. I do wonder how much of an upgrade this is to the X60 pro+. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see you compare all the cameras on these flagship phones 😊.
HOW does this phone consistently beat the iPhone in every photo... it looks sharper, more detailed, and has more colour in shadows... I'm baffled. Can you do a comparison against the S21 Ultra cameras??
iPhone has a better main camera and better video, Vivo has a better ultra wide and better low light...so its not the sweep you want it to be. Samsung is not even a competitor for either of these phones tbh

Either this or the Pixel 6 Pro is what I will wait to see when it is released in a couple weeks. Vivo has come a long way but living in the USA the mark up will be crazy just like the Vivo X60 Pro plus. Love your videos.

Mainly on selfie cam. I think on the rear it has less beauty mode than even the iPhone
the main camera videos almost look like dSLR camera videos, ALMOST but hey, for that sensor size thats a lot

The competition is getting crazy out there. I love my iphone 12 pro max but there are definitely good options out there.
seeing funtouch's dynamic widget made me remember that in MIUI 5 (2015) there was a feature where you could swipe down on music app and a small player will pop up where you could see and control what's playing. MIUI 5 & MIUI 6 were really fun and feature rich at that time.

Android has gone too far compared to Apple. Apple is still like that
Now thats a camera where the pictures AND video are pretty much either best in class or just very good. Video is good even in low light, quite keeping up with the iphone and thats a real accomplishment. I think the optics are what make this camera, they give a really natural feeling and dont have any artefacts. Also the V1 chip is really helping here, viewfinder is showing the same results as the picture you take. Pretty much after experiencing deeply dissapointing bugs and lags and just overall having a bad experience on my 12promax which completely crashed today too, id switch it to the Vivo in a second if it were for sale in my country.
