- As a full time lake trout guide at Bakers Narrows Lodge I see the lack of knowledge on proper dead lining tactics for lake trout so I decided to make a video on it and share some of my thoughts and tips and tricks to hopefully help prepare you for your next Lake Trout adventure! hope this video is useful to you and helps. Tip: If you use a baitfeeder reel, I like Okuma, you can keep your spinning reels bait closed and have the baitfeeder option open.
Works well with the Finicky Foolers. I use them outside and inside our icehouse (instead of a rattle reel because I like to fight fish with a rod).
They definitely work well too!

Do you do anything to your reels for winter use to prevent freezing up? My buddy swears by the cold weather lube in his...I don't, lol

Mac do you have any suggestions on size of Cisco? How big of a Cisco is too big to lay on the bottom?
