    The finishing detail is what makes or breaks these sort of garden rooms. Where the different materials meet is always a tricky one to get right, and all these trims and facia details are what produce the level of finish that you are rightly proud of.

    I've watched all your videos and love them! As an avid DIY'er I love these extra explanation videos. So once I've got the balls I can give one a go myself! Keep up the good work.

    Thanks. That explains the rear soft detail you mentioned in the last video. It's a great help that you use small offcuts to demo how things go together before you use the full sized pieces in the actual build. How do you rack and plum the back wall if its built on the floor before you lift it up?

    • @thegardenroomguru
      @thegardenroomguru  Před 4 lety +2

      we build the frame on the floor, then our first osb board we use the square edges, line it up with the frame and nail it so the osb pulls the frame to the osb factory squareness, if that makes sense, the frame then becomes square and if your floor is level, when you stand it up, it will be racked, ill do a video

    Did you install the cladding before raising the wall on that back wall next to the building? You say “in yesterday’s video” about the packer. But I can’t find another video that covers this part 🤦🏼‍♂️😂 maybe I’m missing something lol

    Great videos 👍 interesting seeing you able to get that close on the feather edge side. Did you have to make the wall on the ground like you have in previous videos?

    Hi...liking the rooms,and I have no issues with leaf blowers,so a quick question I've not notice any wired
    Smoke alarms so ....is their any obligation to do so? Or entirely up to the customer and contractor..?..cheers keep up the good work.

    • @thegardenroomguru
      @thegardenroomguru  Před 4 lety +1

      These are not covered by building regulations so not required, if customer asked, id of course fit, these could be wired up to house too. All hail the leaf blower 🙌one of my best toold

      william griffin. Hi. Just to clarify.. is this exempt from building regs because it's 15m2 overall? And that's why you can get it up so close? Sorry for the silly question but I just need to be sure for my own sanity before I get started
      Incidentally.. you're a top man and I just wish all tradesman were as honest/hardworking as you. Kudos to you and your team 🙌

    Hi. I've just subscribed after watching most of your videos one after the other. The videos are fantastic in showing little details of how the project is done from one stage to the next. I am tackling a 20ft x 8ft build myself on my own property and just wanted to know where you purchase your black Soffit and Fascia from mate. Looking at putting the Firestone Rubber roof on mine after watching you install it on your builds and wanted the Roof, Soffits and Fascia all the same colour. Keep up the great work pal. Cheers Danny

    Hes put the soffit on the wrong way ,it's not supposed to be put in in the 1 length, there's a tounge an groove on either side of the soffit so you cut it in short lengths an they clip together, never seen anyone doing it like this
