I got the Novablast 4 for recovery, my feet have been taking a beating over the last couple of weeks of training and gotta say the shoe is fantastic in terms of comfort and they keep my legs ticking. For the price it is now one of my favorite purchases in a while.
Thanks for your comment. I'm specifically looking for a light highly cushioned recovery shoe; I have shoes that can cover the mid-faster paces (Saucony Tempus and Speed 2), but all the reviews talk about how well the shoes are capable at a variety of speeds
I'm going to try get my hands on the ride 17 when they are released. Novablast 4 could have been a game changer if they stuck with the bouncy midsole of V1.
Yes, I have been saying this for years, Novablast line has regressed ever since v1 which I loved having put it 1000km in those 😅 Glad Saucony has taken over that space with the Triumph series and now Ride 17
I'm waiting to try on the saucony ride 17 before deciding I've tried on the new balance 880 and want to compare as I like saucony shoes like the endorphin ranges.
Got Nb4 kind of disappointed but maybe with more break in time. They are not bad but just kind of there not harsh but not bouncy. My son’s ride 15 felt more plush and as an older version cost a lot less. NB4 are ok they just haven”t lived up to the hype for me. I expected a lot more cushion and energy return.
I tried them in 46 and my big toe is 0,5cm from the end of the shoe and the 46,5 was almost a thumb from the end.For 5-10 km you suggest going for 46.5?
I'd love to get some feedback from anyone running in the Novablast 4. How many kilometres to break the shoes in? I've 3 runs in mine 5km, 8km and 10km and I'm absolutely hating them, don' t feel comfortable, not as much cushion as I expected, my Hoka Clifton 9 were great right out the box. Do I need to give the Novablast 4's a bit more time? Thanks.
@@michaeldennis2630 I did give them a few more runs to see if they would break in, I believe another 30 or so miles, but gave up on them, definitely my most disappointing ASICS shoe, which says a lot as I exclusively ran in ASICS from 1986 to 2020.
seriously though Asics need to up their production, you can't find a novablast or superblast in a decent size anywhere, also whenever Kieran says his size all I hear is I run in a UK and a half...........
That saucony beaded tpu foam is super durable in my experience; I am happy saucony are offering this now in their less expensive daily shoe.

hi do you think the ride 17 would be a good option for a first marathon ? i'm not a fast runner, planning to achieve it in 4h30
Curious on the comparison between the ride 17 and the clifton 9. Hopefully thats coming soon😊
Ride 17 looks more like a no frills comfortable straightforward daily trainer.

Thanks for the comparison!
Have you guys run in any Topo shoes before? Curious to try the Topo Cyclone 2.
Don’t have it myself but heard lots of good things from Kofuzi and Believe in the run. I’d check them out for reviews if you haven’t already
Thanks for hard work, and great review, u guys r amazing 😊.
No contest, Ride 17 all day

Just read your comment and I only have 9 miles on mine and while I don’t hate them but yup they are stiff no cushion no energy return disappointing.

I don’t like the chunky sculpted heel of the Novablast. It’s too much material and would get in the way for me.

Asics isn't a good brand
