I would recommend the progressive springs blue TRX 8441 for the rear shocks. This prevents to much deflection of the rear and it is much more stable (less tilting)... you also should check the shocks for leackage, there is a sealing kit with two sealing rings per shock... TRX8458.... looking forward to see some slow mo videos of the udr :)
Thank you for your recommendation! We are going to invest in a pretty decent camera soon so will be getting some good slow mo! Every one of our videos have been filmed using the Samsung S10 Plus and an old gopro!

Yep, I think the udr should be good for now, usually the traxxas vehicles are fine if you're not jumping super high and land it wrong, they should hold up if you only do low jump, speed run and racing on track with little mod, but for the speed. Just like what you said, the speed for this buggy will be better if it has the esc and motor change, it can probably go as fast as the typhon 6s.
You're 100% right! Maybe will will have to upgrade that soon..😀

The udr was the RC car I wanted to save for, but I ended up changing my mind and getting an X-maxx

I've heard somewhere you have to seal the holes in the tyres before driving it in sand...any truth to this?
Yes this is correct! Otherwise the low px created in the tyres when spinning fast will suck in sand then over time will ruin the wheels or even lead to damaging the electrics. Cheer 🍻
Are the internal electronics, suspension, etc. sealed against dust?
I don't want to have to remove the body every weekend after running it in dust and sand.
Please get a Jlb J3 Speed. I think of getting one and want to know how it's keeping up with the other cars.

Why did you bought a traxxas again? I've owned like almost every possible traxxas offroad car, brushed bandit, bandit vxl, brushed rustler, rustler vxl, both e maxx, revo 1/16 vxl, revo 1 brushed and brushless, revo 2.0, udr, xmaxx 6s, slash 2wd, 4wd and the ultimate slash. Now I still have a trx4, I've sold the other crappy cars. They will break down just looking at it 🤷♂️

@@TheRcKiwis that's a pretty good answer 🤷♂️😂 I like the traxxas cars because of the good customer service but in general all of the cars need several, most of the time expensive upgrades
The correct title is how fast it BURNS the ESC. 1st and last traxxas ever in my house. NEVER AGAIN.
It burned 3 ESCs within 3 weeks. And a light kit.
