-It wasn't easy to cover this story with my usual "light-hearted" tone, guys. The details of Salva and Coppola's partnership are both sad and infuriating. A lot of you may be aware of the Jeepers Creepers director's past, (and if you don't, we break it all down here) but what a lot of folks don't know is the extent to which Francis Coppola financed not only his legal defense but attempted to silence Salva's crimes, and continue to help Salvas Hollywood career. it's a wild story, and I hope I did it justice.
I hope you enjoy today's coverage and if you'd like to see my videos a day early, join as a channel member for just 1 dollar and you'll also get a special members badge, so that everyone knows your cool. Thanks for the support. -J

Three things ... every accused deserves a robust defense. The guy was punished and paid for his crimes according to your story.
And it was in Coppola's interest to protect his substantial investment.
There is nothing to whine about
Oh for fucks sake. Give me a break. Let him baby sit your kid lol
@@JustinDavidTalks Well, that doesn't mean anything. I wouldn't let you babysit either and you're probably a nice person. If we judge on emotion, most of America would be in prison.
By your own story, the guy was convicted, served his time, and has to wear a scarlet letter forever. That's the punishment. We could decide as a society that the death penalty is more appropriate but that wasn't up to him or Coppola. If we let the baddies out of prison, we have to let them make a living too.
Coppola only cares about himself and money. He did end up losing the civil case, right?
It sounds like the justice system actually worked for a change.
@holyharlot5222 We can argue whether or not he paid his dues. Whatever. My main beef is Francis Ford Coppola covering shit up for him and SUING a 12 y/o who was forced to s*ck a 450 pound fat fucks d*ck who filmed it after grooming him for his entire childhood. You may love pedophiles. I don’t, but that’s just me.
@@JustinDavidTalks I honestly respect that you're willing to entertain opposing views, that's why your video got a thumbs up.
All my "evidence" is from your video. I don't know anythng extra about the situation. Laws are the rules we play by. You didn't present anything legally damning to Coppola. He sued the parents for breach of contract, lost and paid their attorney fees. He also hired good lawyers for the guy who owed him hundreds of thousands of dollars. I need more stuff that screams cover-up before I'm willing to credibly accuse him of being anything more than unlikable. Thanks for the replies. good show
This black and white legal/court angle is what makes your point of view shitty here. It’s such a cop out to defend pedos. I’d like to see your hard drive lol There’s a whole humanity/morality disconnect that you seem to be missing in your analysis
Between this, the Nickelodeon debacle, and God knows what else, just shows how disgusting Hollywood has always been.
100%
Great video man! I'm glad you spoke about this as I don't think a lot of people know about it!
Thanks Cody!
Probably the most famous scene in the first Godfather film, was the character Jack Woltz waking up in a bloody bed, which was caused by the Corleone family decapitating and then sneaking in the head of Woltz's prize horse. Jack was a film mogul, who was being intimidated by the Corleone's, so that its boss, Vito Corleone, could get an acting job for his nephew, who was being blackballed by Woltz himself, on account that the nephew slept with one of Woltz's up and coming stars (who had to be much younger than the 70-something year old actor who played him).
But there's a deleted scene, in which the Corleone's lawyer, Tom Hagen, is leaving Woltz's mansion, where we get to see child actor, Janie, who was shown earlier in the film celebrating her twelfth birthday, with Jack in attendance. Janie is clearly living in Woltz's mansion, with her mother. The mother then brings her daughter back to her room, so that Tom doesn't see her. Tom and anyone who's seen this deleted scene, can easily figure out what was going on. This tells me that Coppola knew better, even way back in the early 70's, when this film was produced.
Oh man. That’s so gross. The 70s were so weird
There's also an undeleted scene in which Michael's married his first wife, Apollonia when she was 17 and Michael was arnd 27-28 and there's a scene of her topless nude. The actress herself was barely 17 during filming period mind you, which I always find it pretty odd many didn't get caught up to this.
I’ll never understand why this is still happening over and over. Great video.
I know, it’s crazy dude. So gross
Birds of a feather flock together
Instant sub for covering this man. I fell down the Google rabbit hole of victor salva + coppolla a little while ago and it was crazy to me how little it has been publicly acknowledged and so expertly swept to the surface. Kinda kills alot of great movies for me. Great video dude
Thank you! Why no one calls Coppola out for this shit is crazy
@@JustinDavidTalks Coppola didn't rape anyone
Like most horror fans at the time, I saw Jeepers Creepers when it came out, thought it was a fairly well-made film, and was excited by the prospect of a new monster icon being introduced to the world.
Shortly after its release, I saw Clownhouse on video and thought it was also a competently-made thriller, albeit with a few too many long, leering shots of underwear-clad boys for my comfort... then I learned of the film's backstory. Suddenly, I felt guilty for having contributed to Victor Salva's fortune in any way.
I didn't realize he had made the film Powder until after I had seen it, and after learning this fact I re-evaluated it and saw its themes in a disturbing new light. I then swore off Salva's work, and haven't watched anything he has made for the past two decades.
This video was the first time I have heard of Coppola's involvement in this predator's career and it's very disappointing to find this out. Yet another artist whose work I have long admired has now been tainted by their real-world conduct. 😮💨
It’s a really sad story, all around. I’m glad this video is reaching folks who weren’t aware of Coppolas involvement. That was my main goal with this one, as a lot of people are aware of Salva and not so much Francis. Thanks a lot for watching 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Thank you for making this!!! I love the content and all you’ve been doing. Glad to see this come out before his new flick.
Thank you brother!
Great video!! Good exposure!!
Thank you! Appreciate it 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Fell asleep in the theaters when jeepers creepers came out. Never bothered to rewatch it when it was released for home viewing. Having heard about victor salva a couple years ago I was adamant about not ever seeing it. Coppola has always been a creep. Glad his dirt is coming to light.
Damn, dude, great video.
I love the new content you’re doing on this channel, I still love when you talk about movies and the ones you bought, hopefully your second channel will still be about movies stuff.
But you did a great transition from movies to now deep dive investigations.
I heard some of the stuff you talked about but you gave (me) new info on those creeps.
Great job.
Hey thanks so much. It’s been a pretty hard transition as far as my videos go so it’s rad you’re enjoying the new direction. Plenty more to come. Appreciate ya dude!
Clownhouse is so fucked even before you know what went on, on the set. After you find out it is so much worse.
And the fact that he kept working is just wild.
Great video, Justin! Good to see you!
Hey Ainslie! Thanks for watching
Cant separate Art from the artist with these guys,Hey, Much ❤️ Justin
Thanks for watching dude. Kind of a darker one today but I still tried to keep it light. Hard to go with douchebags like Salva and Coppola
They all seem intertwined these days!..
Can't tell the difference & sometimes I just don't want to know and enjoy the films,
but finding it more difficult
Finally, someone is getting it out there
Thanks for watching! A lot of folks know about Salva, but the Coppola angle, not so much. Please share and thanks again for supporting the video!
Woodchipper was the only thing going through my mind hearing this.
Fargo style
He's a real Jeepers Creepers thats for sure.
100% Such a wild story. He never should have worked after Clownhouse
At one point I was friends with Kory Davis... actually helped promote his events and did flyers for social media and his preshow trailers which was just slicing trailers together for a time frame of intended upcoming events. I actually created a special trailer with VO actor under contract for Res Evil 1 anniversary show. When Creepers 3 came around I was very leery. And was shocked the Chinese Theatre (full disclosure it was the Chinese 6, the portion inside the mall , where more indie films do premieres) was agreeing to it. And I stood at a distance. Shortly after it falling apart I distanced myself and cut ties with him. Amongst other issues with him (Davis). I seem to also recall #3 was partly funded via CROWD FUNDING. SOME of those movies that weirdo producer has credits on...some look like more indie crowd funded projects lol
Damn that’s wild you got to see the other side of things like that. I don’t see Salva getting another shot, although I think he made one more film after Jeepers 3 which I forgot to include.
I remember watching Clownhouse growing up and being extremely uncomfortable with the shot in the opening lingering on the boys in their underwear, looked it up and learned this. Just horrible that he’s continued to be able to work after this. Jeepers Creepers 1 and 2 are both classic horror films, from that era, but he should absolutely not have been given the opportunity to make them.
Ps. Have the same Airheads tee, creeporama rules!
Dude, same. Remember Clownhouse not sitting right with me. At the time didn’t know he did Jeepers. Really wild story. I don’t see him working again, honestly. Creep-O-Rama is awesome! Don’t know if you’ve heard of the t shirt brand Studiohouse but my Podcast The Rad Pack has a 15% off code and they have really rad shit. Code RADPACK
@@JustinDavidTalks Hell yeah, dude! Thanks for sharing. I've bought a bunch of stuff from Studiohouse (love their tie dyes and wish I got that hackers mousepad lol) and the guy helped recommend a good media cabinet for my movie colection/how to fortify it after I commented on the instagram stories of their dope VHS collection.
I'll keep that Promo code in mind for when the Return of the Living Dead leftovers go up! Thanks so much!
Great video! Thanks from TN! ❤..
I must be the only woman that has seen The godfather movies an uncountable number of times....
But, didn't know Appollinia wá only 16😮
How weird, i was just looking for anythign i may have missed on this last night. straaange
Dude hearing about the Megalopolis shit, I HAD to deep dive
I had heard about this before and had felt shame. Apocalypse Now is one of my favorite movies and i admire Coppola completely as a filmmaker but as a person this is one of his biggest mistakes. and it baffles me as he seems so eloquent and sympathetic when speaking about films. But it shows how closely knit this big game of Hollywood is. I don't think everyone in Hollywood is a pedophile or a monster
Yeah it’s a damn shame when these talented people turn out to be creeps. Hard to separate the art from the artist sometimes
Thanks!
Thanks so much brother. I really appreciate that. This one was necessary 🤜🏻🤛🏻
WOW!!!! Great video! I never knew there was a connection between Salva and Coppola!!! Wow Coppola is a big scumbag!! How does Salva keep getting A list work?????? Thanks for all the information!!!🤘
Crazy, right? The Coppola connection is so wild and nobody talks about it, ya know? Or it’s at least not as well known. Thanks for watching.
Love the shirt.
Thanks dude! It’s from a company called Creep-O-Rama
Jeepers Creepers is a great movie.
Can’t deny it’s a solid horror movie, for sure
I used to like Jeepers Creepers and the second too, is a good sequel. But Is it wrong to ever watch them again?
Sometimes it’s hard to separate the art from the artist. I suppose it’s ok to watch their stuff for free or something. I hate lining their pockets
My family has a Boston terrier too.
They’re the best dogs, for real
Justin, I freaking love that shirt!! Great video. As far as the director who's name I already forgot, I didn't like Powder, Nature Of The Beast or any of the Jeepers Creepers movies even before I learned this this guy is a pedophile. So I'm over it. But now Coppola, huh? I've got to say that stings a bit. I finally watched Red Rocket last week and I had a thought about midway through. His mentality throughout the movie, especially towards women and sex is pure predatory. Makes you wonder how much of the industry is secretly just the same. These are the kinds of stories that need to be told. Thank you, Justin. Hope you're doing well.
Shirt is from Creep-O-Rama. They make great stuff. Thanks for checking out the video. It’s sad to see that these kinds of crimes that happen and the people in question continue to work. Hopefully Salva isn’t allowed to make anymore movies
I'd avoided the Jeepers Creepers movies before I knew what Salva did because my parents dragged me to see Powder when I was 11 and that movie is a fucking crime against humanity. I have a special hatred for that movie.
I hear ya. Watching every one of his movies through the lens of his crimes makes them all so fucking dark and creepy
@@JustinDavidTalks And after Powder I'll just avoid any of his movies because that one was fucking horrible. Hitler could have made that movie and it would have been among the worst things he did between genocide and invading Poland. Fuck Victor Salva.
Airheads tee & T2 arcade machine? Subscribe! Excellent analysis of Coppola’s complicit connection to Salva. Thank You for your dedication to raising awareness on under reported stories👏 Fantastic Channel!
Thank you! I really appreciate that. Always cool when people dig what I’m trying ya do hear. Airheads rules!
Wait wait wait... Just one question: what about his home computer? Salva was jailed in like 1988-1989 or whatever. Computers in the 80's were not anything like they were in 1998 or 2008, etc. They weren't photo keeping machines and video watching things. Not really. Not exactly...
It was late 80s. They still had floppy’s and hard drives capable of storing photos. Not to the extent that they had now, but it was available.
@@JustinDavidTalks How old are you? I'm 41 and that was too young to remember much but I have seen what those computers could do in school = they did not have the pixels for real photo capabilities. Those pictures would have been blurry and splotchy as heck.
I’m just going by what Nathan Winters said. I wasn’t there. Could be wrong and I’ll be happy to add a correction, if I am wrong here. Although it’s an important fact of the story, I wouldn’t say this fact changes anything and isn’t the most important fact in this case. Either way, he had printed photos, or stored them in another way, the fact of the matter is that he filmed CP and had hundreds of inappropriate images in his possession that were taken by the police.
So pedo pics are ok if they're blurry? @@fluorescentmilkshake
Wow!!!! An Airheads t shirt??? Yas man! ❤️🤘🤘🤘
One of my favorites!

Francis Ford Cop-A- Feela
Haha I see what ya did there! 😂
It looks like your channels become more salacious. Are you going to do reviews on the dead couch channel now? Or you might just throw one in occasionally on here?
Hey! I have plans for a return to the Dead Couch and it’s gonna be awesome. A fresh take on reviews and collecting and such.
I kinda liked JC:reborn it was meta in a funny way I enjoyed. I’d buy it on 4K 😅
I have the first film on dvd. I use to have the vhs but the transfer on it was worse & while it did have mono audio I could care less about the optimal audio experience when the video quality is that bad so I sold it. Don’t own any of the others but if they did a 4K I would get them as they are films I like but I do not want to give these dude more of my money than they already get.
Coppola caught me with a sneaky wine bottle they made I enjoyed 😿 hate giving my money to these people
Oh man I hardly made it through reborn lol So bad! The first one is admittedly a good film tho
Hard to watch the details. I always knew Salva was a sicko, but to this extent... Yuck. And then Coppola's involvement? If there was ever any justification for cancelling these mf'rs, it's these guys. It's no wonder people are increasingly turned off by the whole industry now. Talent and money making do NOT trump morals.
Dude the details of this story are absolutely horrendous. I of course remember hearing about all the Salva stuff but only years later did I hear of Coppolas involvement. It’s really gnarly
Hiii hw r u.... I hope remember about..... Sardar udham. ...
Movie...
Oh yes…
I do….Coming soon…🤜🤛
@@JustinDavidTalks ok let see...
I’ll still see Megalopolis just for the sole fact that it isn’t a bs comic book movie.
