One of the more amazing things about Maiden is that they had a "legendary"phase in the mid-80s - 30 years ago - yet their current music is so relevant that even die-hard fans in their 40s and older don't go to their concerts to hear the "classics". They want to hear the new Songs! Name any other band that has mastered this feat. Up the Irons!!
Happy to know that two of my favorite songs from the Book of souls, Tears of a clown and The red and the black are in the setlist!
WOW! Bruce's voice is in pretty damn good shape. Look at 1:10:27-1:10:39. He holds that note pretty damn long at the end of "Hallowed Be Thy Name".

Good to see Maiden pulling out some new songs and stashing away the old classics.
To all the people who have negative opinion towards the setlist which omits the old classics - this is THE BOOK OF SOULS WORLD TOUR, not Maiden England, not "classics only" tour. Okay? Don't go to the fucking show if you don't like the setlist god dammit'. And listen to the new album, it's a bloody masterpiece.

+Ben Jacox Wasted Years and Fear of the Dark underrated? They play them on literally every single concert and they are underrated!? Even Steve Harris joked about Fear of the Dark, stating that it's one of the lamest songs he has ever written. He used to say "Those lyrics are so awful, I mean Fear of the Dark I have a constant fear that something's always near" and then he'd burst into laugh. After asking some fans on a concert what is their favourite song, they replied "Fear of the Dark". Bruce only said "Are you fucking kidding me?" As for the Wasted Years, it's a great song nevertheless. But just like Fear of the Dark, it's been played too many times live. And sorry about this mate, but if you say that Fear of the Dark and Wasted Years are "way better" songs than Paschendale, Alexander the Great, Empire of the Clouds, Como Estais Amigo and Sign of the Cross, you're a god damn idiot. And no, I'm not an old school Maiden fan. I'm an all-school Maiden fan. I like almost all their songs, and not only the most popular ones. You should seriously listen to the songs I've cited and then compare them to shitty Fear of the Dark. Especially Paschendale.

Best on the album. Only problem I had with it was I felt it was about 4 minutes too long.
Nah... IMO the longest songs are the best on this album. My top three is "The Red and the Black", "The Empire of the Clouds" and "The Book of Souls". But the whole thing is great.

I saw them at Madison Square garden on this tour, and I couldn't believe how good they were. This band never lets you down.

Yes, when you're at a gig it pisses you off when there are loads of people holding their phones in the air. But then we wouldn't have this great footage to watch over & over. So I can put up with that.
Any fears that Bruce may not be able to sing as well as before his cancer treatment have been totally blown away & the whole band are firing on all cylinders...epic gig ! Pity that Fear Of The Dark was cut short, but I don't mind hearing The Trooper twice here.
My 1st live Maiden gig was in Cardiff - Somewhere On Tour & since then have seen them twice on every tour. I even took my daughter to see them when she was 6 & she loved it. When the walk on Eddie came on, she grabbed me tight & looked worried. Then she took a closer look, laughed & said "Oh, it's only Eddie !" Great memories for both of us.
Can't wait for the U.K. dates now. Up the fucking Irons !!!!

Crazy night !!!! I had never seen so many people taken out by stretcher due to heat exhaustion. The entire crowd was completely drenched from the monsoon outside before the show. One of the craziest nights I have ever had in good ol Sunrise Florida. The boys always deliver 😁😁😁
