Perfect sound for Make them Suffer (Mixer is Drew Fulk who mixed latest Motionless in White (very similar sounding in the drums) or Fit For A King and Wage war respective latest albums, and many more. He also mixed Hollowed Heart, and his production really fit with them, and he also mixed Trilogy by Silent Planet. So it goes from ''meh'' (Wage War, last FFAK song) to masterpiece : Make Them Suffer, SP, Chelsea Grin, Annalyn (check their song Holy Gravity, this is pure gold)
Dafuq happened to the Pressure mix? All of the records you mentioned have quite good mixes, but the pressure mix sucked ass. So flat, even hard arrangements sounded like a balloon losing air
@@Beiez well, that is pretty complex but to be clear : There is two people mixing these records : Drew Fulk and Jeff Dunne. considering the stuff Jeff dune mixed alone (Crystal Lake, Aviana, Ice Nine Kills, The Gloom in The Corner...) I think jeff brings the attack to the drums and put much more on the low and the high than Drew, where he is more in the mid (Fit For A King, Wage War, Chelsea Grin) Main difference shine in the snare. Jeff's snare has a lot of cut and attack, hit very hard while Drew one is based more on a one-shot sample that has much more release and sounds blender, more on the mids. So, to sum up, Drew is more in the mids and use more realease, while Jeff Dunne is more on the low/highs and attack. This result in blender sounding record when Drew rakes the lead. I personnaly prefer Jeff Dune approach but that's matter of taste To compare, listen to Ice Nine Kills latest album then go on Wage war latest album (I could totally be wrong, this is what I think form my own guessing about their roles on the production and my own mixing experience) I hope this is clear, feel free to ask if it isn't
@@str1897 Hey! Jeff and I mix everything together including everything you mentioned above except for Aviana and The Gloom... (which Jeff did himself). Thanks for jamming all the songs!! I'm stoked you like this new MTS!!!
@@DrewFulk oh, thanks a lot for your answer, well i was wrong! I'm honored you've read me! I've been following your work since Chelsea Grin album, and I really like your drum approach, and I'm happy you clarified it!
I don’t think I’ve heard you say a bad word about Australian bands, and as an Aussie that makes me proud of the music we’re pumping out. I’m only more recently getting into MTS and they fucking slap hard, they’re so versatile and have an amazing sound.
This is hands down my favorite song by them. That last part just hits the spot for me. I first listened to bones and liked it enough to chenck them out in detail, but this one got me.
Just watched this for the fourth time because this video brought me to this band and it's a real shame that I havent known them before that. This has been my favorite song since I watched this video, by far.
I haven’t even gotten a full minute in cuz I’ve been trying to figure out what song you’re covering for about 2 hours. Edit: there’s no way it’s Snuff by Slipknot. The part in Snuff where he sings “my friend” has the two words on the same note and a much more energetic instrumental.
I know I'm 2 years late, watching mostly reactions here and quiet rare, my bet it's "an open letter to myself" by Architects, sounds really close to pre-chorus part
I think you need to dive a little deeper in MTS old stuff then you can at least a reference for how their new stuff has changed. As an eternal fan of MTS, I really like the direction theyre going.
Just found your channel, so entertaining to watch. Maybe go listen to some songs made by the amity affliction, the new album is so nice. Gotta love "Soak me in bleach"
It's a reaction Video, since that song is already quite old and he has probably heard it in the past already (being into Architects), i don't think that is gonna happen. Would love to see him react to that Band tho, i am sure once they bring out new music he will do so :)
Not a clue which song that is that you're going to cover but it sounds really familiar. I know it's not Gravedigger because I have listened to that song about 10,028 times too many and know those lyrics you sang do not appear in that song.
I love FFAK and I listen to them waaaay more than MTS. From that I am very well aware of what music they are capable of writing. Some of the stuff off Dark Skies was mindblowing. Breaking the Mirror is just not good enough in my opinion. It's a decent song, but they can do so much better in terms of structure, melodies and composition overall. MTS on the other hand is a band I'm just getting familiar with and this song is a really good example of maybe not the most unique metalcore, but pretty damn well written with a lot more depth and interesting twists. That's all, no hate towards anyone.
Hint: It's not Gravedigger, but y'all are really close!
A song by Architects?
Gravedancer ?
Gone with the wind?
Architects--An Open Letter To Myself.

THE REVIEW I WAS WAITING FOR! Make Them Suffer surprises me more every day, I have high expectations for this new album🔥
sucks that the release will be delayed because of corona...
I am pretty excited about the new album too... I mean how can you not be? :D
@@bogdanhxc I know right?
The replay button has been destroyed like a mom after 10 kids I absolutely love this song
Make sure to check out their album Old Souls, for me thats the best album of all time
Let Me In is still one of my favorite songs of all time! 🤘💥
Neverbloom tho 🤤🤤🤤
Old Souls is an abnormal masterpiece. Chills throughout the whole album everytime. It's like an epic movie.
Every album they've made is so good. Their newest one is so good too.
Song gives me hardcore Polaris vibes. Especially the vocals.
Marc Orellana yeah his voice sounds so similar. It’s just that Jamie from Polaris can go slightly higher
Never actually noticed that before. Good shout!
EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT!!! Very similar vocals, Pitch, distortion, everything! i thought it was maybe the same vocalist at first.
they're both Aussie too
Sean and his eagh is always a surprise i swear :)))
Wildflower - In Hearts Wake?
My first Make Them Suffer song I listened to was "Neverbloom." 🤘
I think this applies to most people honestly ahah
Micah Revenant I thought Wildflower instantly too hahah
I fucking love this review dude. A fan reacting like an actual fan. Not trying to be too cool and stuff. Wicked.

All the metal is to offset the shit pop we also churn out
Make Them Suffer, Bring Me the Horizon, Pierce the Veil. This year gonna be fire for me 🔥
Such a banger 🔥
This is hands down my favorite song by them. That last part just hits the spot for me. I first listened to bones and liked it enough to chenck them out in detail, but this one got me.
If you love contrast like this, check out Save Yourself or First Movement
Jakub Godlewski also Uncharted maybe
@@pimvandervliet Then it's more the keyboard.. but Uncharted is phenomenal too!
Bangersss, lov those songs too!
Check out Spiritbox’s new song Blessed Be!!
4:06 that delayed drop got you too! Haha I love it so much.
Fucking insane how far Make Them Suffer has come, definitely one of the most interesting bands rn.
Over a year on and still get goosebumps everytime listening to this song
Worlds Apart (their 2017 album) has very strong groove especially on power overwhelming and dead plains
Extremely underrated band.
i am glad u like them...i was also very impressed few days ago when i first saw that :)
Yeah I found it in an ig ad and i looked it up and was so blown away

Big Polaris vibes, loving it
I say you should Cover this song and idk maybe do a featuring with someone. 😉

Hollowed heart is a bop
This song was amazing, also good video!
thank you :)
Haha loved your reaction and commentary
I'd say the song takes you to another place... :^)
This song reminds me of Metanoia by For All Eternity because of the piano for some reason. Great band by the way.
The first time that I hear MTS with this song 🔥. Amazing.
