John Bonham. Is the best drummer ever in rock history. The man never had a drum lesson ever
Certainly my favourite.

Maybe after Keith Moon!
@Pol Fartin okay, we get it
@Pol Fartin oh, yeah, I forgot about that
England was obvioulsy granted some sort of gift from the gods. How can so many iconic bands come from just one small yet mighty nation?
Gobshite 100% correctamundo! Beatles, Stones, Jethro Tull, Yardbirds, Yes, Traffic, Sex Pistols Clash, Ten Years After, Manic Street Preachers, etc and on and on.
the weather there is so fucking bad they have to become stars so they can get outta that shitty island
i agree fully
England is a city
I’m sorry
cesar varram Depends what you mean by "bad"'. (I'm assuming your'e a yank) As a Londoner, I can tell you that our winters are much less harsher than in NY - we hardly ever have snow that settles - and our summers rarely unbearably hot, we very rarely topple 30 degrees. But in our moderation, is also our downfall. London is damp. No getting away from it. We don't get heavy rain very often - the South East of England gets less annual rainfall than Texas - but we get a lot of grey sky, disappointing temperatures, and light rain, even in the summer months. But at least we don't get snowfalls covering cars in NY, or hurricanes in New Orleans or regarding Maine, extreme daily weather changes, or sunless Seattle, or scorching heat in LA. I've been to these places....but I don't think you've ever been to England mate.
Man I love this freaking band..I'm 67 and still rocking..2022
No more rock bands like this
Man I’m 56 & I’m fucken head banging while bbqing with my mates.
John Bonham screaming "ALRIGHT LET'S GOOOO!" at the beginning is one of my favorite moments in recorded history.
i never thought that was his voice
I don’t think that’s bonzo, I’m pretty sure that’s the rep for the venue. The guy that introduces the band before they go on.
what time?
bonzo is best drummer alltime zeppelin power ;) !
Are you sure that's Bonzo? It sounds like it could be Robert
the vid is such good quality for the 70s
@TrampolineLemons A lot of people don't realize that a good portion of this film footage, wasn't even truly Live at Madison Sq Garden. It was filmed at Shepperton Film Studios in 1974, which was this enormous hanger, to simulate the concert. There is some footage used in the film from the actual New York Concert as well.
See this Link to further clarify the subject matter

um "HD".....
Exactly what i was thinking
Zep could make anything look wonderful
Loved his hair
They were, are and WILL ALWAYS BE the ultimate rock band.
Yes, Yes, Yes!
What else can be said?
They were a cover band that posed as an original. They had trash lyrics even though most of them were stolen from other musicians. Several court cases were lost so they were forced to pay the other musicians by law. Yeah.. the ultimate rock band for sure. Lol.
Sounded great though didn’t they ?
@@devilzdandruff9199 Even if you take away their controversial songs that were borderline stolen and ones they did cover, they're still the greatest rockband of all time with countless classics.
I was there at MSG in 1973 it was a Fantastic 3 HR show. Just blew us all away.
🖤😒😒
Not a phone in sight ! Absolutely brilliant
*This is one of the best shampoo commercials I've ever seen.*
Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful...
That made me laugh out loud
HAHAHA
we all had hair back then and as a teenager i had to fight with my father not to go to the barbours

Possibly my first stop when my Time machine is finished.
Can I come?
For me it's woodstock
wHOOOAh!!! Got to get know the neverending story... Cool Comment!
for me, the first time they jammed
Jajajajajajaja
Coolest damn band that ever lived!
Yes! Not only did they have the best drummer and an all around talented bassist, but the combo of Plant and Page. Those two men were just so fucking cool in different ways. The golden god and the mysterious dark lord.
Da far vedere ai maneskin
For me, they were the best rock band ever. They incorporated so many different styles into their music and they were just so creative. I love this band!
There are many good bands but LED ZEPPELIN is a greatest band who ever exists on this planet.
No one in the background doing back-flips, no pyrotechnics .....just pure talent.
No fake computer generated garbage of today.
Robert Plant Legend
Jimmy Page Legend
John Bonham Legend
John Paul Jones Legend
= Led Zeppelin Legend
Peter Grant, the fifth member, legend too
i am the douther of agostino
wow
no, it must be
Robert Plant God
Jimmy Page God
John Bonham God
John Paul Jones God
Led Zeppelin=God of Rock
It's good that I was spared these legends. XD
Forgiven
Bonham, the core, of Led. Unbelievable drummer. Nothing would had been the same without Bonzo. The rhythm section of Led, Bonzo, and John Paul Jones, so extremely and extraordinarily unique, in music history.
That's why they split when he died.
Too bad they never were shown (Bonzo at the end for 20 seconds)!
Led Zeppelin = GREATNESS!! We English folk are so proud of these men and what they did for the British music scene. One of the most influential, original, iconic bands of all time. 🇬🇧🏴🎸🎶
No one, can ever be as good as the talent of these guys!!!
Did somebody travel back in time to record this? The quality is unreal for 1973.
It's called 35 mm film.
no shit, right
just imagine if it was in Huewai 5 G ,,,, dont know how we lived without it,,, oh not out yet? gotta get it soon,,, quality of 4G is shit
There is high quality film video from the 1940's!
35mm has something like up to 6k capability when rendered, not sure though if it depends on the type of 35mm used.
Jimmy Page can play that guitar like it's nobody's business.
but can he play Eagles music? BLAH HA HA
Omg..Jimmy sounded like crap..hes very tight in the studio..live. hes aweful
@Pol Fartin studio there great....live the play sloppy.. I know he can play better he just chooses to be lazy
David Brinkmeier wrong are you deaf?? He’s one of the greatest live improvisers to play a guitar don’t say dumb shit like that please
David Brinkmeier chooses to be lazy?? LOL guess he chose to be lazy on no quarter, since I’ve been loving you, 30 min dazed and confused, whole lotta love and many more. Yeah, “lazy”. Ok bud
Nobody is as good as rocking out as well as jimmy
Page was blessed with a talent and we were blessed to have been able to hear it
Jimmy Page: incredible solo part
Camera-man: film his face
@Billy Idol lol, the least recognition member of the band
hes underrated
His neck
Omg that is the most annoying thing
@@arzufbkz6099 More like John Bonham gets the least recognition

The days when people went to a concert to have a good time and enjoy the music instead of standing there holding up a cellphone for practically the entire show. I miss those days.
You can bet your ass if they had cellphones they'd be using them dipshit.
Spoken like someone who wasn't even born in 1973. Get lost.
we were lucky in Buffalo,NY in 70s@80s for 10 years 4 concerts every summer at bills stadium, zeppelin sold 80,000 tickets but cancelled cause plants son got sick, Rolling Stones liked buffalo, they played here 6 times
@@lelandcarpenter1455 they didn't though did they dipshit, better days then dipshit
rodentcafeteria gets your argument completely shut down then uses a weak ass insult like “you weren’t born in my generation” lame
What a Spectacular Band , there hasn't been anything like it .
Even after all these years, i get chills listening and watching this amazing band. I'm now 60 and still can't get enough. Zep created the soundtrack of my life.
And don’t be surprised that at age 65 and 75 you will still feel the same. Quality and mystery and crazy energy talent are ageless. Rock on.
I'm 81now lately I've been on LZ binge. The videos are amazing. We didn't have this great way to enjoy music for most of my life. Unlike most bands a lot of their live performances are better than the studio recordings. Can't get enough ZEP😊

GREATEST BAND EVER! So lucky for having seen this guys performing live, greater gig of all my life ❤
If Page and Plant aren't the definition of "rock gods", I don't know who would be.
@Ray Webb they're both alive man
In the 70s they truly were rock gods
@Ray Webb no way, what concert did u see them
Plant would tell you:

Love the way Page tears into his solo with a vengeance.
THE BEST BAND EVER. SAW THEM LIVE IN 1975. AND STILL ROCKING TO ROBERT PLANT. JIMMY PAGE. TRUE MUSIC GENIUS/ STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN
Greatest rock band of all time 🤘
Robert Plant is badass

Another British band showing the world how its done ! I saw them twice. So lucky to be born and grew up in time to see these great UK bands.
PURE GENIUS
Nothing like the sound of Zeppelin in the morning! 💖💙❤💜💚💛
It sounds like... Victory
Hi, i can see that you like the good music. I recommend you the next tribute to LED ZEPPELIN: czcams.com/video/gfSHhqzaioM/video.html Do you agree that it is the best tribute to this band?
Was there for the last show at the Garden in '73, still got the ticket stub.
Very cool.. How long did they play? Was everybody smoking weed? Best band ever. .
@@asphaltcowboy7567 dude r u like one of those Hip pop kids ? lol this Led Zepplin the concert was at MSG which is Madison Square Garden and its the year in that time 1973 so the 70s basically
Thudue I’m one of those “hip hop kids” 💀. He’s asking because weed was popular and hella cultural during this time, boomer. Concerts today are filled with people smoking (not only rap).
asphalt cowboy I wasn’t there but the set list during those three days lasted around two hours and half.
@@joshuavargas9668 awesome
I saw them in early 70s I Orlando. Jimmy Page sat on edge of stage and said I'd like to play a song from our new album . It's called Stairway to heaven
Robert Plant just oozed sexuality in the years that he played with Led Zeppelin. I spent my teenage years in the 1970's and to this day a like a handsome guy with long hair.
A real band that stayed close together when they played so they can communicate. JPJ always watching Bonzo. I love Jimmy at 3:40..saying take it away Bonzo!
Nobody:
Jimmy Page : 😗😗😗😗
@Dylan Lockhead Because he actually wrote a lot of their lyrics, especially at the beginning ;)

I'm still blown away by that tasty opening riff at 1:58 ! Raunchy riffing!
One of the best performances of the Century!
The best quartet ever!
Robert Plant's voice is absolutely great and right for this sound. This is Rock n Roll.
And this was when he was suffering from vocal nodules.
Drums are from another planet. His Groove is out of this world.
A gorgeous long haired Jimmy Page ... the finest guitar player ever... ... at his very best! The seventies! He was something to behold!
Awesome,and amazing jimmy page 😍👏👏👏
I always loved Jimmy's outfit in this, bloody fantastic like this track
Für mich die beste Band aller Zeiten!😎
1:35 oh that smile from Robert😄😄
That was before Robert got his dental work fixed.

Anybody jealous of the time ,the music, the talent, the crowds, wardrobe the70's??? Now compare to today's so called rock and roll the music ,the talent the etc etc , how do you really feel about the state of rock and roll today? Be honest! ,that being said how good were those guys really??????
They’re simply the BEST rock and roll band in history.
Rick is t doing too bad. I was super hype when I first hears SOAD, now if they would only come out of hiatus. There is great music in every generation.
The more i listen to JIMMY, the more i love PAGE
Jimmy Page jumping at 2:53 priceless.
This was the first time I'd seen the likes of LED ZEPPELIN. It was @ Madison Square Garden, NYC in '73. This is a fantastic venue for Anything. I remember it like this was YESTERDAY. Where has the Time gone?
They were all so young in this!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome Mr. Robert Plant.
Brings back fond memories of seeing Zeppelin five feet from the stage at The Grande Ballroom in Detroit. A well-spent $3.50 for a night of rock and roll.
What a brilliant song, by a brilliant band
You’ve got to be kidding me. This is tremendous, Why can’t this continue I miss rock
Royal blood my dude , rock and roll lives on
I mean Greta Van Fleet is the start I suppose
can you imagine rockin a zep show in the 70's...love watching the people in the crowd and the whole era

where has all the great music gone, i miss the old days, im 68 yrs. old and still love the old stuff.
Be proud mate
John Bonham held this and many other, song together.
The most intricate and articulate drummer, ever.
Call him the conductor of Led Zeppelin.
I have to watch this ten times every time I hear a Nickleback song on the radio.
Robert Plant the golden God........ excellent video...
Amazing. The best rock and roll band of all time.
Amen to that🙏
happy bday, Bonzo! You drum god, you!
Too my old husband Dan
That is how you play bass. Perfection.
This 70's camera quality is even better than today's entry and midrange level smartphone cameras.
Yeah, thats the power of Film camera. 35mm film is the same as 4k resolution in Digital cameras.
If these sounds came back, than its still gonna rule the world
All I can say is Led Zeppelin is the most badass band in the land
Must have seen the song remains the same about a 1000 time's and I'll see it a1001 times more I'll never get tired of this movie
Led Zeppelin was the GREATEST ROCK GROUP in the history of Rock and Roll!! They started it all!!! 👍👍!! Page is just Unbelievable!!
So true George !!! Led Zeppelin Rocked !!! Check out ," Doesn't Matter Where Or When ." an original rocking song and video on my site . Thanks , Adam Holtz
LZ and Pink Floyd were awesome.
The golden boy, oh boy.
Led zeppelin, the Who, Deep purple, the pretty things, the Stones, the small faces - and most music of today: I cry out loud!
Back then I lost my mind over this band. Watching 40 years later"..........I know why.

Greatest rock n roll song ever! Drums perfect, guitar never better, bass tops, vocals otherworldly, lyrics dead on, and the freakin song is titled ROCK N ROLL!
Today...47 years ago they finished their legendary Maddison Square Garden concert. Still as relevant today as then. Long live Zeppelin!!!!
Plant, Page, Jones and Bonham....they happened to be there at the right place and the right time.....or did they? Was it luck? Was it fate? Or...Was it pre-destined to be the epitome of rock songwriting artistry and performance? Loved the fuck out of it anyway!
anyone else blown away at how good the video quality is? this is 1973! holy fuck. im sure it was touched up but still
It's from the movie "The Song Remains The Same" and was filmed in 35mm. It's probably from a DVD copy.
MegaLadygagasucks i think they digitally enhanced the footage.
73 ,a VERY good year for music.
IN CAPS THE GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIMES
Helluva way to open a show. This, The Song Remains the Same and We're Gonna Groove are my favorite show openers over the years.
0:10 When the guitar and bass come in and the lights come on. What a moment.

Yep, I got to see them in concert, which was so great 👍. But now I'm old!! Lol 😆. 😆 !!
The best Band Ever
Led Zeppelin great band.

Make a sentence out of these words...SHIT SHERLOCK NO.
the greatest rocknroll band of all time
Always loved this number... Bonzo’s amazing intro gets the adrenaline flowing right off the bat!
He never could hit those high notes like he did on the original recorded version. Close enough for rock roll. Hell ya!
Check out the 1996 version in Tokyo, strange how he could do it all those years later but not in his prime. That being said studio and this version are great.
I'm glad he doesn't here. Other shows are tighter and more like the records but this was the end of the tour in the US. They were probably high. But for me this is the best version of rock n roll live out there. Also TSRTS (song) is awesome from the same concert check it out
