Thanks for the clear tutorial! I just replaced my inner and outer tire with this info. :)
Except for my gates + alfine 8 I had to set the gear in the highest (heaviest) gear, and rotate clockwise with the size 2 hex, as my gear apparently is mirrored with respect to the one in the video. (the cables goes along the top down on the back, instead of along the bottom up on the back as in the video)

Thanks for your video. Very helpful as I have a cube hyde race gates belt and have put a video to help others also.

As far as I can tell, on all of these bikes the rear axle in in a vertical slot an drops down to remove. On my Priority bike, the slot is horizontal. In order to remove the belt without damage, the screws that adjust the rear axle to keep the belt straight would have to be loosened to remove the belt without damage. Rather than doing that I rolled the belt off and on. Although I am now in fear for my life, If I get another flat I will probably to it again.

When o when will the solid tyre come? Good news if you’ve got a stand etc, but what if it’s late at night, cold, windy and pissing with rain?

I use Tannus solid tyres and for commuting I've never looked back.

For a field tire change would it be best to flip the bike upside down to accomplish the wheel removal?

How do you do this without a stand?

    • @Gates.bicycle

Try turning the bike upside down resting the seat and handlebars (gently) on the ground. That works very well too!
