I had to go back and re-acclimate myself with this and Laura did represent Britney in her divorce with Kevin but from what I read, Laura quit after a few months and stated Britney was a “problem client because she wouldn’t listen to Laura’s legal advice” (her words not mine) and this led to Kevin and Britney splitting 50/50 custody at that time. But we all know how Mark Kaplan and Kevin ended up spinning the custody case in favor of Kevin and ever since then, Britney has been paying out the ass for it and her own parental alienation. It’s so fucking sad to see everyone around her just use her. She deserves the world! It would be great to see just one person who truly loves her and cares about HER, not the money and all that it brings.

I always felt like he was her “ handler” and him asking for all this money just confirms it for me
I had a bad feeling about her getting with anyone that she met while in the conservatorship actively under abuse. Mentally you can’t usually see things clearly to your full potential when you’re in an active trauma state. Which would make it even more difficult to see who you can and cannot trust. My sister has bpd from trauma and it affects her ability to know initially what people are safe and what people are not. I’m not saying that’s the case with Britney but knowing that can happen w/people mentally dealing with trauma made me more concerned for her. People can/will take advantage of that.
With how innocent and childlike her mental state has been shown to be (at least publicly on her own posts and clips and when speaking to people like the judge in that audio clip), I would not doubt she has some issues with determining (at least at first) who is safe and who is not. Its hard in general to do that, particularly when people are pretending and lying to you, but even more so if you're struggling with your mental health.
I also had a bad feeling, but was hoping I was wrong! I had hoped we just hadn't heard of the good things he was doing behind the scenes for those 6 years to try and help her... Instead, it looks like he was there to get the fodder for his eventual attempt to exploit her for on-going money after a divorce. :|

As someone who has suffered physical, verbal, emotional, & mental abuse from family my whole life the psychological damage of that is horrific and will last a lifetime.
Agreed. That’s why I’m actually kind of happy she’s alone now. While you’re healing from something that extreme it’s probably best your mental health come before any commitments like a relationship and marriage. That’s alot on a person not actively healing.

For the people who are worried about her and her male friends in that video. I personally don’t believe there was anything bad about it. She’s hurting and her friends or maybe even backup dancers that she’s known for years are trying to make her feel better.
From personal experience (kinda) I went through a horrendous breakup in my 20s and I invited my best friends over at the time (2 guys) and I was feeling so shit about myself. So they raided my closet, found a few dresses and they told me to put on the one I feel best in, and they put the others on. There’s a photo I will forever cherish of us all in dresses at my apartment that night and honestly, that’s sometimes what you need. Just your friends to be goofy with.
And I honestly love that she shared those posts and I honestly hate that people are clowning on her for it like we don’t all do the same thing.

No, it’s not illegal. But there’s a point where it becomes a major red flag. Once my colleague told me a heartbreaking story about his wife who had “fascination with knives”. One night he woke up and she was standing above him holding a knife. As soon as he opened his eyes she tried to stab him. People with trauma + knives may be a really dangerous combo
