arterial phase: diaphragm to the iliac crest (might be extended in some indications) venous phase: above the diaphragm to the symphysis... But CT whole abdomen scan measurement should be take.. Diaphragm to symphysis pubis.. Bcz Patient abnormality highlight to A.phase..Ex.Bladder mass,Ovarian mass, metastasis lesion etc
what does A Phase, P Phase, V Phase mean , and do i have to do this phases everytime, do i have to press Buttons during phasing, is it because of bresthing? Thank you very much
Hello Paul. Like GERMARDOU explained, Arterial, Venous & portal phases are usually bolus tracking phases. The machine automatically detects the set Hounsfield unit & starts the arterial phase in BOLUS TRACKING MODE whereas, In time bolus, You need to set FOV (Field of view & the delay time for every phase so that the machine starts the acquisition accordingly. For every phase there is a set delay time like for Arterial it is between 27sec-35sec (early to late arterial) Likewise for venous (60sec-70sec) & for delay it depends on the clinical information. I hope this would help you.
This is a terrible video on so many levels. Why would you do Non Con, end the exam and reload 2 more times to do 6 more phases? Your arterial phase is in equilibrium and following phases are just washed out. Your Delayed range is clearly for collection system, why did you go above the diaphragm? Top of kidneys to bladder ONE TIME is all you need. Kids, this is NOT how to do a scan.
