What’s the movie Clueless about?
Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone) is a beautiful, wealthy and popular highschool student living in a Beverly Hills mansion with her rich dad Mel (Dan Hedaya), a grumpy but successful lawyer. Cher’s best friend, Dionne (Stacey Dash) is also beautiful and wealthy and dates Murray Duvall (Donald Faison), another popular student. After receiving a bad grade from a harsh teacher, Cher decides to play matchmaker and orchestrates a romance between her school’s two hard-grading teachers. Her plan ends up working perfectly and seeing the new couple enjoying their blissful relationship fills her with joy. She decides to keep using her skills for good deeds. Her next project? Transforming Tai Frasier (Brittany Murphy), the “tragically unhip” new girl, into one of the coolest girls in school. When Cher’s ex-step brother Josh (Paul Rudd) visits her during a break from college, he mocks her superficiality, pushing her to be even more selfless.

Since nobody is talking about this, I'll say it. Alicia's line delivery when she said "That was way harsh Tai" is completely immaculate. It felt so natural to me that I loved it. Plus with her eyes starting to tear up it looked fantastic, like you could see how it was fastly but gradually getting to her

The fact that Cher didn’t hit back with anything mean is really sweet, she simply tells tai that what she said was harsh, she could have hit back with her own insult but didn’t. Also the fact that Tai straight up said sorry and regretted what she said as soon as she saw Cher was upset. I love this film because all the main characters may be popular but they’re not bitchy, they mean well.
Right, Cher was always well meaning even though she went about caring for others in a not so appropriate way. Like the Tai makeover.
You can tell that Cher really likes Josh when hearing Tai speak about how much she likes Josh and how she wants her to help her get Josh. She really has deep feelings for him here!

This line isn’t just iconic but the way Brittney delivered it made it iconic. The way she said it was perfection and the fact people couldn’t believe 17 year old can act this good.
