- As a part of my living in Ghana experiences series, I decided to show you how the braids are done in Ghana and I asked a couple of question from the lady who was braiding my hair regarding whether it is okay or not for non-africans to braid their hair?
Have you tried braiding your hair in Ghana?

Ghanaians are very easy going people. We really don’t get offended by things like people who are not black / African getting braids. I suppose it’s also because that context of racist experiences of black people in western countries does not really play out in Ghana like it does in the diaspora.
Ghanaians rather appreciate it when foreigners do the stuff we do. It's seen as a compliment
The friends reference though😹
ICONIC
It looks great on you. This is one of the greatest moments in human history, we can share and enjoy each other's culture and innovations.

You're such a precious soul Anahita!
and you're very beautiful with your gorgeous smile! the braid looks great on you!
I do have wavy hair myself that I love but sometimes I get tired of it and get tempted to cut it very short which I used to do till 20.
Could you please share how long you can keep it and wash it as is?
Thank you so much!! The temptation is still with me.actually I could only keep it for 5 days. I couldn’t wash it while it was braided and after 5 days my scalp was super itchy
First of all, love that you considered this to be offensive. You took your time. You asked questions. You are transparent and considered. Also, you are not white so it's not so bad ;)
Is it possible to set up like gofundme for this woman to help her getting her own place? I'd totally donate.
Thanks for this!!
I actually don’t know how many people would be interesting in helping her. But i would be more than happy to give your donations to her. If you are interested please send me an email (anahita.es@gmail.com) so we can discuss that

I've never understood how men and women decide to have so many kids despite their economic situation
It’s usually not a “decision”, but rather a result of the natural energetic transfer between a man and woman, which results in a pregnancy. Oftentimes, using protection is also not a “decision” during the energy transfer. ❤️💫🌍
