I get so aggravated the people spend 15 minutes open up a box and someone the other day actually sat in a box while they opened up a box and took forever trying to be cute well they unbox plant I'd like to see the plant that came in the mail and then Nursery came from and how much it cost so in case I would like to buy from that shipper where that Nursery. I don't think it's fun or funny taking up a half hour of my time or 15 minutes of my time while you open up a box and I don't mean you sweetheart on this channel I mean you and the general sense people out there who post unboxing videos
Kathleen Murphy yes I agree I’m the same actually. I go to CZcams to get other reviews on online plant shops and I end up fast forwarding parts that aren’t relevant or they become too lengthy. Yes I totally agree there's no need to pay $500 for one these plants but I've seen auctions time and time again going for that price. That's a lot of money😳.

Ok WOW!!! I had to pause after you opened your albo to say that I went in person to Logees yesterday with my husband, and I purchased an albo in a 5” pot as well. This message is one year later than your upload, but I paid $349.95 for a (I forget how the tag read specifically, but it was something along the lines of) “low variegation” or “less variegated” albo- something like that. I can not BELIEVE the stunning variegation on your albo and the LOW price from a year ago!!!! I am very happy with my albo, mostly because my biggest fear is reversion and also because she really does have a decent amount of variegation! I am actually thrilled with the level of variegation on my plant, but the price, imo, is VERY high!!! I do have a question for you if you would be so kind as to answer for me- My 5” albo appears to be planted completely in Sphagnum moss? It is “stuck” in the pot so I can’t pull it out of the nursery pot to see exactly what is going on down below though, so I am not positive there isn’t soil underneath the moss. Since your plant also came from Logees, I am wondering if yours is potted in moss as well? I did try to call them today, but they only take calls during weekdays. In my opinion, the moss my plant is in is too wet. I am SO worried about root rot that I am considering repotting it, even though I normally wouldn’t even think about doing a repot for at least 4 weeks after bringing a new plant home. I would be so grateful if you would confirm if your albo came planted in sphag moss only? Or if you have had any issues with root rot on your gorgeous albo!!! Thank you so much. -Nora
A Pot to Plant In I know🤦🏽♀️.... this is such an expensive purchase and to do it without even knowing what the albo looked like was such a #crazyplantlady moment. Not to mention I got both varieties it was such a huge deal and I’ve been wanting them for 2 years but I’ve been waiting for the price to come down and they haven’t if anything they’ve actually increased 🤦🏽♀️. I’ve placed bids on some on eBay a bunch of different times and always get out bid. I had a budget I was wanting to stay under and things happen for a reason and so glad I stuck with my budget bc with these I didn’t go over it 💚🌿!!! and they are everything I was looking for in variegated monsteras. Got mine as a leaf cutting for 45€. It now has three leafes with 50/50 variegation and each one is getting more fenestrations. Takes a long time but certainly worth it.

@@aGirlwithaGarden hi, yes I do have an indoor plant light I use in the winter for all my plants to grow under. I'm at 60 degrees north, Scottish islands, so in winter we only get 4 hrs of light. My flat has little windows but an amazing view. I feel the monstera would need an array of grow lights for itself, and that might clash with the minimalist aesthetics I like. Totally lived your video. Keep them coming xxx
I have been on Logees wait list for 2+ years and haven’t ever received a restocking notification for any variegated monstera. How is it that you are able to come across two? No fair. I’m so jealous, your plants are beautiful tho,

I was checking their site in the morning one day as I have done from time to time but this time they were in stock😳! I couldn’t believe it so I jumped on the opportunity they had 28 in stock when I checked out and then a few hours later they were sold out. As for the Thai Constellation I bought that one from a seller on Etsy. Those are much easier to find. Have you tried eBay? There are quite a lot of listing for both of them on there actually. Check it out. Hope you find your plant 🌿 one day 😉
Here in the Philippines that size of borsigiana albo variegata can fetch $1600-2000 more, its insane with both sellers & resellers taking advantage of the plantdemic here You're lucky!
Yes I see that lots of people are trying to flip a profit selling these plants. Demand is high and the supply is low so that usually increases the prices ☹️.

beckamichelle I purchased the albo from Logee’s on the 18th Wednesday and I received it exactly one week later. When I went on there I posted to my IG TV that there was some still in stock when I checked out. There was about 28 in stock when I checked out so they have a good quantity. Have you tired to email them or contact them to see when they’ll have more in stock?
I sent them a message about a week ago. They said "unfortunately we do not have an exact time frame for when they will be available agin. Our growers are keeping an eye on them, however we do not expect the next batch to be ready for at least several weeks. Thank you for understanding"

Niharika Routray when I checked out their website had 28 in stock and I posted to my IG TV that there was still some left. One of my followers mentioned to me that also bought from Logee’s last year that these when they go in stock sell out in a matter of hours. Sure enough when I checked back online 2 hours later they were out of stock ☹️.
They are Thai constellation which is different from albo. Thai is cheaper Bc it’s tissue cultured in labs and will be mass produced. Albo however only occurs in nature hence more rare and more expensive
Ya I've checking their sites and trying to keep an eye out for you guys. I usually check in the morning but no luck yet. Ya i did noticed that they increased their listing price. Still a decent price overall considering some of the listings I've seen online for plants that are cuttings. However it is a bummer that they upped the price a little....but I would still pay at that price 😉🌿
Hello there 💚🌿. I'm not sure if Logee's would ship to Canada. You can try sending them an email and they might be able to better answer that for you. I do know that shipping certain plants into Canada can be a little difficult getting them through customs.

Elvy Kiung Usually Logees send you a restocking notification. I have received notifications for other plants but never for a variegated monstera and i have been on their wait list for a few years.
Sooooo, I have a question: if I buy a variegated cutting, with a lot of GREEN (which is cheaper) and just a little bit white, will this affect future leaves? Or could they have a lot of white even though the ‘mother’ leave hasn’t?
Look at the stems! If the stems are basically just green, then the future leaves might be green as well. However, it doesn’t need a lot of variegation on the stem to produce leaves with a lot of variegation! Just make sure there isn’t too much variegation on the stems, since too much will produce mostly white leaves, and that’s not healthy for the plant :)
It depends. Variegation on plants are actually a defect and sometimes the plant will try to self correct and it will revert back to a green plant which is the sign of a healthy plant overall. That's why they say that the Thai Monstera is a more stable variegated plant vs the Albo because it doesn't revert back as much. So to answer your question IMO it will affect the new leaf growth. The more green on a stem leads to more green parts on the leaves.
funny story: i went to one of my friends friend house and i saw she had a variegated monstera and when she went to the bathroom i cut part of it off and put it in my bag 😂 i made up some excuse to leave quick and now, i have a big and beautiful variegated monstera😍😍😍

Yeah Logees price has doubled and another $60.00 for shipping plus tax I think I’m going to have to pass hopefully I’ll find it at a more reasonable price.
Hey! Question. What did you do with the thai plant that came with roots (not potted)?? I just got a Thai myself with roots wrapped in wet paper towels. Did you just dunk them in water for a bit?

Owen Friday 😳...it’s so nuts how much these are selling for. Even in the few months since I got this. I’ve seen a price increase for sure. I bet covid has impacted the steady rise in price for these types of plants. I bought before the heat of the pandemic unfolded

Right now the house plant craze is in full swing and almost everyone wants the rarest plants. As for myself, i set a $2 limit. It's quite a fun and funny challenge specially when i find ferns. They are my favorite.
I have 2 thai constellations and 2 M..albos and yes its a pain in the pocket. I got my smaller albo with 2 leaves and costs $600 Cad, and with 5 leaves for $1 500 😊😊😊but it brings happiness

I’ve been trying to get one from logees since early this year. It was never in stock everytime I checked it, and I don’t get notifications from them either when they restock:( I watched the price climbed up to like $200 something last month and $600 now, which is a crazy jump.
UPDATE: Logee’s prices have changed at least twice since the air date of this video and they are no longer $145.95 ☹️ (wish this wasn’t the case)

Have you thought about indoor grow lights to increase your lighting?
@@aGirlwithaGarden hi, yes I do have an indoor plant light I use in the winter for all my plants to grow under. I'm at 60 degrees north, Scottish islands, so in winter we only get 4 hrs of light. My flat has little windows but an amazing view. I feel the monstera would need an array of grow lights for itself, and that might clash with the minimalist aesthetics I like.

I have been on Logees wait list for 2+ years and haven’t ever received a restocking notification for any variegated monstera. How is it that you are able to come across two? No fair. I’m so jealous, your plants are beautiful tho,
james goff I was on their notifications as well for the Monstera Albo and I didn’t get a notification on it. I was checking their site in the morning one day as I have done from time to time but this time they were in stock😳! I couldn’t believe it so I jumped on the opportunity they had 28 in stock when I checked out and then a few hours later they were sold out. As for the Thai Constellation I bought that one from a seller on Etsy. Those are much easier to find. Have you tried eBay? There are quite a lot of listing for both of them on there actually. Check it out. Hope you find your plant 🌿 one day 😉

beckamichelle I purchased the albo from Logee’s on the 18th Wednesday and I received it exactly one week later. When I went on there I posted to my IG TV that there was some still in stock when I checked out. There was about 28 in stock when I checked out so they have a good quantity. Have you tired to email them or contact them to see when they’ll have more in stock?
I sent them a message about a week ago. They said "unfortunately we do not have an exact time frame for when they will be available agin. Our growers are keeping an eye on them, however we do not expect the next batch to be ready for at least several weeks. Thank you for understanding"

Niharika Routray Try NSE tropical. They have the Thai constellation. I haven’t been successful at Logees either.
They are Thai constellation which is different from albo. Thai is cheaper Bc it’s tissue cultured in labs and will be mass produced. Albo however only occurs in nature hence more rare and more expensive

Still a decent price overall considering some of the listings I've seen online for plants that are cuttings. However it is a bummer that they upped the price a little....but I would still pay at that price 😉🌿

Elvy Kiung Usually Logees send you a restocking notification. I have received notifications for other plants but never for a variegated monstera and i have been on their wait list for a few years.
Sooooo, I have a question: if I buy a variegated cutting, with a lot of GREEN (which is cheaper) and just a little bit white, will this affect future leaves? Or could they have a lot of white even though the ‘mother’ leave hasn’t?
Look at the stems! If the stems are basically just green, then the future leaves might be green as well. However, it doesn’t need a lot of variegation on the stem to produce leaves with a lot of variegation! Just make sure there isn’t too much variegation on the stems, since too much will produce mostly white leaves, and that’s not healthy for the plant :)
It depends. Variegation on plants are actually a defect and sometimes the plant will try to self correct and it will revert back to a green plant which is the sign of a healthy plant overall. That's why they say that the Thai Monstera is a more stable variegated plant vs the Albo because it doesn't revert back as much. So to answer your question IMO it will affect the new leaf growth. The more green on a stem leads to more green parts on the leaves.

Right now the house plant craze is in full swing and almost everyone wants the rarest plants. As for myself, i set a $2 limit. It's quite a fun and funny challenge specially when i find ferns. I’ve been trying to get one from logees since early this year. It was never in stock everytime I checked it, and I don’t get notifications from them either when they restock:( I watched the price climbed up to like $200 something last month and $600 now, which is a crazy jump.
