The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Denver Nuggets, 106-80. Anthony Edwards recorded 27 points, 7 assists, and 2 steals for the Timberwolves, with Karl-Anthony Towns adding 27 points and 12 rebounds in the victory. Nikola Jokic tallied 16 points, 16 rebounds, and 8 assists for the Nuggets in the losing effort. His attention to detail on the murray/jokic pick and roll where he is just sitting low waiting for the pocket pass. Credit to the guards for fighting over the top and not letting murray just walk into threes. It allows the bigs to play the drop coverage and take away those passes to jokic that starts the 3 on 2.

Every single player on the team was fucking on it Monday night. I've never seen a more complete team play like that, everyone was playing their role to absolute perfection.
They dont need to. But they can replicate 85% of this for sure. And late game situations if it ever comes to that. Just watch Ant vs Tatum early thid season clip. Or Ant and Jaden vs Kyrie and Luka from last season last play of game. They did not even get a shot off.

I am not from Minnesota but I watch all the Timberwolves games I can. This is the best defensive basketball I have seen in decades. Truly a joy ot watch. I wish all teams played basketball like this. Reminds of times past when hard nose defense was played in the NBA. I hope MN goes all the way and sets a new standard that brings back the intensity and effort of previous eras.
