I played Center back in my younger days. It seems like an easy enough job but it’s not. You’d be amazed at how complicated it can get snapping with one hand and trying to block a nose tackle foaming at the mouth with the other hand. You literally have one arm between your legs at the start of each play
Omg same, I'm currently in high school playing center. And it is so hard, even without a nose guard, to get the snap correct and block correctly after. But one tip as an o-lineman is to never look back in the backfield to see if anything is messed up. You will be able to by hearing the defense call out, "BALL BALL" or something like that. (My first shotgun snap during my freshman year didn't go well. I horribly messed up the snap but the coaches and my teammates didn't get mad).
@bzgamer41 I played In middle school and I tried to block one huge guy and my knee got dislocated it's pretty hard to get the snap high enough without throwing it over the quarterbacks head and then having to block someone of that size that just wanted to kill you and your qb is terrifying
I always wondered how hard it was to play center play linebacker I was a tight end but I always respected the center Plus in the middle of the line people roll and fall on your legs all the time
Foaming at the mouth lol I’m a nose guard I’m not saying I do this but I dislocated a kid shoulder once in seventh grade I’m now at 8th but I’m not saying that I don’t foam at the mouth lol
This video is helpful because I'm a lineman for my school varsity football team and I sometimes struggle with what I am doing in practice or in a game. But It's not very often that I have these problems. I enjoy being on the line and tackling other player.
So, for all of the young o-line and d-line players. This videos coveres the holes and the gaps on the offense of line and the defense of line. So, remember the offense of line has the 1-hole, the 2-hole, etc... On the defense of line, they have the gaps like the A-gap, B-gap, etc… Now, the most crucial part of this video that they failed to cover is the importance of not mixing up the these distinctive terms. So, make sure to never say the 1-gap or even worst never ever say the A-hole!
In high school, I was a CB but sometimes, I’d take a glance at the O-line and man, it’d be pretty tough to get by them. They know their jobs and do it well
Ok, so i work at s middle school as a student custodian, i was working late a few nights ago so i went to watch the practice for my schools footbal team (they use the middle school rec feild for practise) a few of them saw me walking by, one or 2 recognized me from school and they started yelling my name, i looked over and said hi, and they started yelling to me tk come play with them. (Im 6'3 280lbs) so i kind of stuck out. So i walked over to them and was honest. I dont know a gkd damn thing about football, but they said they would teach me, fast forward, now im trying to learn what i can about my position before practise on monday

As a o lineman myself thank you
Guard, Tackle, Sub Linebacker, Defensive End
Great Videos. Thank you
The only reason I became a lineman was because I could shotgun snap the ball. Before that, I was a receiver and I wasn't that good at it.
What are the chances they will do how to be a long stapper
3:40 "We could do it in normal order but lets complicate the whole fucking thing" better have a good damn reason
Nice Video

I Play nose tackle probably the easiest 😂
Dude, at 6:12 you circle the LB's, not the D-line. C'mon man.

I'm a big nose guard who wants to play center bc of my genetic make-up I will probably only be at 6'2''
