As of Hotfix 33.6.4:
"Removed the initial charge delay on Incarnon projectiles fired and replaced it with an automatic trigger type."
This makes a big difference on the weapon and I can now fully recommend it. Builds remain the same but fitting in some Fire Rate would be greatly improve the experience.

The Incarnon Genesis adapter for the Gorgon was one of the more anticipated additions to the new Rotation 2 for Steel Path Circuit.
The weapon transforms into a rocket/grenade launcher. The projectiles embeds into enemies and / or surfaces and after a brief delay it explodes in a five meter radius with a damage drop off of only 10%.
These stats got me hopeful for the weapons performance but at the end of the day it's just an explosion and a slow weapon.
While it may have no problem in clearing normal level steel path the weapon is not on the level of the mower powerful Incarnon Weapons. It does not mean it's a week weapon, it just means it's not fantastic and I would build it for it's normal form rather than for the Incarnon form. At the end of the day it's Single target versus are of effect and as always, the choice is yours.

They did both of the signature bullet hose rifles dirty... my sweet babies Soma and Gorgon really pulled the short end of the stick.
Soma honestly got huge buffs though and the incarnon mode is better than the normal form. It just isn't quite as good as the burston without flat crit chance buffs.

Quite the throwback to my MR8 days too when i found Heavy Goons intimidating, quite nostalgic.
I was really hoping it would be more like the braton. This is disappointing as the normal (prisma) one is just so good.

This is the incarnon weapon I've been most hyped for because I love the Prisma Gorgon, it was also the first wepaon I rolled a really good riven for. It sucks they did it dirty like that, but i'm still gonna use it :D

I really don't understand how DE is always inconsistent with everything. How could you let yourself loose with weapon power such as Lex, Torid or even Boltor and just going backwards with some other like Soma, Boar and the Gorgon.
Is it really that hard for them to test their weapons and make it equally good between them ?
I wouldn't say they went backwards with the Boar. My friends have built the boar to shred 190 Steel Path Corrupted Heavy Gunners in.. seconds with it.
I’ve built soma to do the same. Pure critical chance and critical damage with Hunter Munitions. I just use an epitaph for priming viral.
Boar isn't as problematic as those others you listed, though. It's definitely pretty good. It's not quite at the level of Torid, sure, but it's not even close to being as disappointing as... well, the rest of this week's rotation.
But tbf if you have torid w/ 8 forma and solid riv.. u have no reason to build the boar. I think that was dudes point.
Two years for my first Gorgon, log in reward.....within a month, they were dropping in game! Three Gorgons later (wrath and prisma ) and ton of forma. love Gorgon!
Seeing this made realize we really need a railgun in warframe. Something with a charge time like a bow, with a moderately small magazine. Shot's are hitscan infinite body-punch-through and fat projectiles similarly sized to the nataruk. classified as a sniper.

@@bloody4558 you know that what guy described is not connecting to railgun. I can say that tenora(especially prime) is a railgun, by the way it's alternate fire works. Railgun would not be much different from any normal gun. If by game logic railgun should have flashy effects (which it doesn't have irl) than opticor might be a railgun(projectile is so fast that it's trail looks like laser) or then there us something like komorex that can be a railgun.
The guy described a railgun by videogame logic, but Warframe has something more similar to real railgun(tenora (prime)).
Yea and then let's give it an incarnon form that is a bullet hose and a bad one at that.

Yo, a decent riven that buffs crit chance makes this thing clear hordes of 180’s + with one explosive round. Just saying. The Latum has been resting in its holster all day.
Finally got around to getting this. Put Nourish on Caliban, build for corrosive humu with vigilante armaments, use the spawns from his 3 to distract things, armor strip with his 4. One shots Acolytes in Incarnon form.

I love the Prisma Gorgon, still use it all the time even though it is not "the best".
And the little perks on the incarnon are nice. But that's it, they are just nice. And the incarnon form? In practice it is a parlor trick.

The explosion has a forced heat so if you wanted to go corrosive cold on the Gorgon.

I thought it was gonna be similar to the Burston Incarnon where it's a straight up minigun-like mode, but seeing that it's essentially a Stahlta's alt fire, that is so disappointing, guess I'm gonna get it just so that the base form is stronger, otherwise I'm not gonna even touch this now after seeing this. I hope DE listens and potentially remakes the Gorgon's incarnon form, but given that they showed this for almost a month, I highly doubt it
EDIT: It just occurred to me that this is basically the primary version of what the Zylok got, both have basically the same shtick, and both are extremely mediocre, and to think that this weapon is in the same grouping as the Burston, Boltor, Lex and Dread
with the same crippling Glitch as zylok I'd assume:

@@adriansue8955 Probably. Even then, I don't see multishot saving either, the damage seems too low, but maybe there's some really cursed build that's largely unheard of that can kill level cap or something, regardless I doubt a multishot bug fix would do much, but that's just my thoughts
U definitely haven`t played with incarnon zylok, with in incaron stat upgrades it gets highest damage among secondaries and HUGE crit and status stats. It can basically oneshot every "normal" enemy in the game.
@@ivanromashko6511 U definitely haven't played with incarnon zylok in Steel Path.Without multishot on the AoE, its effectively 1/3 the power of most other incarnons. It can basically tickle "Steel Path" enemies in the game.
@@ivanromashko6511 Last time I saw anything about the Zylok was when we first got our hands on the incarnon for it. And it was so mediocre, maybe that's changed recently since I don't keep up to date with weapons that disappoint me

Honestly, I expected this incarnon from an incarnon Dera (when we get it). Doesn't make sense imo. I'd have far preferred a kuva gorgon. I'll still get it and use it with the MIGHTY SEER
Kuva gorgon would be really nice. My riven doesn't seem to help much either. Incarnon gives it more damage but it just feels meh compared to the rest. With such a big delay before the explosion, it seems like it should be blowing everything to kingdom come, but sadly it still needs help from arcanes and warframe buffs. The Might Seer is a must have in this case.
Is it better as a hybrid going for 12% status evo and just ham it with fire rate mods and more status? Have mine set to 90%crit, 75% status viral/corrosive plus heat. Dont know if it is good on endgame steel path. I just started steel path
I was really disappointed that we weren't getting the Halo Needler, and was genuinely concerned when I heard the explosion was pure heat since I run a Rivened Frostbite build.
After seeing it in action and has pure IPS and NO heat on direct impacts; personally, I'm kind of digging it and I'll probably enjoy it.
Sucks that there is no synergy with Metamorphic Magazine, which would require some serious multishot to get any mileage on its petrify effect in its Incarnon Form.
Even with a multishot riven, you're going to be looking at 400% multishot; which, would require a minimum of 4 blasts to trigger. Neither does it look good or sound good, and that's really unfortunate.
I feel for you man, i know you really like this gun and im sure you were looking forward to this. Its a shame that its so damn bad...

i hope they give the Supra an incarnon, idd really like a proper bullet hose or a super strong laser beam like a mix with the furis incarnon an phantasma prime, no chaining just infinite punch through with 40% dropoff or something

Honestly thought it would be a different flavour of braton or burston incarnon only with delayed explosions with at least 120 ammo. Regrettably that is not the case.
If I use this to citrine will it activate her prismatic gem infinitely since it looks like a stat weapon.

Not sure this is the right setup, also i dont mind having a rapid fire aoe weapon, its like the nukor but i can also swap it back to single target and nuke bosses with it. Will need to try better builds.

How to fix this incarnon: remove the charge, keep the incarnon perk, make it fire atuomatically as fast if not slightly faster than its normal firerate. (same with the soma imo)

That was really disappointing and the absolute worst thing about this is that they won't change or rework the incarnon form. The Torid is still the king of the incarnos, which is awesome but why not make another weapon like the torid? What I understood is that the weapon stats depends if a developer likes the weapon or not. When I saw that 2% crit chance I tought that it was a bug, iIt really feels like they said "yeah just add some useless stats and an explosion who cares" for most of the incarnon weapons...

I grabbed both tbis and the boar prime and i gotta say. Expectations flipped. Tbought they would ruin the boar but man it feels so good in both base and incarnon form.
The gorgon feels so sluggish to use like a worse Oris mixed with a worse tenora. On top those numbers are just so bad they are laughable. The Boar has 15% increased crit and .5x crit multiplyer. On a shotgun. Thats insane. Mind you my boar (with riven) shoots out over 20 shots a hit with 100% crit. Kinda nuts. And that beam form melts entire rooms.
I can't stop thinking about the new incarnons being underwhelming because they made them purchasable with platinum.
Maybe i'm completely off here but it doesn't make any sense how not-good the new adapters are.
Glad it's not just me. The Gorgon has been one of my favorite weapons for the longest time, I was expecting it to behave something like the Kompressa with it's delayed projectile explosion, but instead it just feels like a clunkier Lenz. Very disappointing.

I always love my burston prime, latron prime, opticor and machine guns but man some of them can't keep up with the game and DE forget about them makes me feel bad.

On the other hand, if this was your favourite bullet hose, it's now a better bullet hose. Just ignore the incarnon form.
just treat it like an underslung grenade launcher lol, the reload speed buff makes the switch seamless and fast, use it for mob clear occasionally for me xD. Though, the single traget initial shot isn't bad damage at least, eats acolytes in 1 shot :\

It would be better and more unique for your content if you can show every base incarnon stat of each variant of this weapon, which no one did this detail before, for build min-maxing with riven ofcourse (Gorgon have more riven disposition and add more upgrade incarnon stat than Prisma Gorgon)

I honestly don't have any problem with it, I've always loved this thing for its metamorphic augment with shred. Built the same, building this thing for PURE incarnon form is a fool's game tbh. I see this incarnon weapon as the "best of both worlds" type incarnon, mainly use the normal mode, occasionally switching to incarnon form for some AoE to clear mobs, which is pretty seamless with the realod speed T3 perk. Not really sure firestorm is AT ALL worth a mod slot. Primary deadeye is also a must for me, that headshot multiplier dmg helps, it might not work well on the incarnon form but just build the stacks and then switch, ez. Tested in simulcrum against lvl180 corrupted heavy gunners SP with my build, honestly it does not perform bad at all.
Well, I suppose if ANYTHING, it could use a LITTLE buff on the stat-improvement perks. But honestly, it works fine in my book.

Just put the Incarnon adapter on your prisma gorgon and use it as a moderately upgraded prisma gorgon.
when i heard the gorgon and the boar were gonna get an incarnon modes man that made me so happy...my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Hopefully the angstrum is atleast not disappointing.

Im in the same boat I love the Prisma Gorgon and Boar Prime and the incarnons just seem so lackluster. I was expecting an Incarnon Braton-esque AoE explosion. The delayed explosion is horrible. Incarnon Boar needs a buff its so easy to shred through the 150 or so rounds on SP when dealing with heavily armored targets. Thanks DE!
I did not expect that title... Brutally honest and detailed as always. The gorgon wasn't my favorite but damn even I'm disappointed.
What I could see being done is making the explosive shot work normally with an uncharged shot, but charging increases multishot or something. Dunno, I'm not much of a balance guy.
they should kept it machine gun but with a small delayed explosion, shame. They could also easily double all the final evolution values and it still is less than most others.
Good point for putting vile acceleration instead of bane mod, without good fire rate this weapons is 1. not fun 2. +90% fire rate -15% damage is like 80% more dps and you put viral on it. But jokes on you for making it from prisma gorgon, gorgon wraight has so much better base status chance and you can add 14% base crit chacne on forth evolution on it. Procs viral more easily and makes it deal more damage faster, other than that dich hunter munitions and put riven on it, even prisma gorgon has good riven disposition and rest of gorgons have even better.

Since you staying on air the entire fight, wouldn't it be a good idea to use a frame like zephyr? The buffs you get from staying in the air would really help, I think.

I use a Torid/Gamacor setup on Gauss and it can only be described as a war-crime
I hope they buff gorgon look like one of the weakest or at least the most uncomfortable to use incarnon weapon
You would make things a lot easier if you'd spawn a bunch of butchers in your tests, so you can get your stacks easier. Normal missions also have plenty of fodder after all.
Concerning the weapon, hey, a buff is a buff, so art least I can jump into my Elytron and cosplay an A10-Warthog
They played it way to safe with these incarnons due to being purchasable with platinum.

I was really disappointed in the incarnon gorgon, i was expecting something good okay a bad projectile but good damage. Instead we got something that you would go get just to increase its stats but not use the incarnon form
Personally i think im gonna skip this round of incarnons. Bought the boar and wasnt impressed. Still waiting for the furis and miter to come around.

Gotta say, this rotation feels kinda mid, the gammacor is also very underwhelming, even with a riven
i am too disappointed. My Prisma gorgon was setup with viral HM and a riven that gave 200+ CC and Heat damage with recoil malus. It worked fine and was fine, i could barely see difference with incarnon buffs. Changed the build and removed viral for heat 6060 and primed shred for the charge time and still some decent DPS in normal fire. Normal fire is slightly worse because of the loss of viral and the incarnon mode is... well ... "decently" usable. Incarnon AoE is too small without mod and has no use other than that just a big boom ahah funny. Will just revert back to viral heat HM probably and forget about the incarnon form
The most disappointed I've been when getting support for one of my favorite guns.
Miter, Latron and Lex are hands down the best damage wise, and also fun to play. All other variants are somewhat disappointing in some regard, like boltor, soma, etc. I think the gorgon became less potatoey at best. If you want solid AoE go for weapons like Stahlta, Tenet Plinx or Aeolak, they're light-years ahead of this new gimmicky high dispo MR fodder.
Damage is Nice but I use my Incarnons for Utility 👀
the evolutions are extremely underwhelming, they really need to rework them to be actually decent and function with the gun. the 4th evolution absolutely takes the piss

1 minute 46 seconds in and its a nope for me. The charge function is killing this weapon for me honestly. Thats also why i will never play guns like the zylok, dread, paris etc. because it is so annoying when you have this little delay before you actually charge up the shot. Its very short but enough to throw me off everytime i use guns like this.
I don't care how powerful a weapon is. As long as it has this charge up function in an hack and slash game i will never use it.

I had hope but like with the Soma, the Prisma Gorgon is an okay weapon, so I didn't expect much.
On the other hand, it's not a clone of the other similar weapons like the Soma, Burston and Braton. So that's great.
