Was killed in Camelot in 7DS, revived at the end by Merlin and an entity called "Lady of the Lake" and he is now the host of "Chaos", the primordial entity of the Universe (who created the Demon King and Supreme Deity, for example). He lost his right arm in a battle against Cath (little round cat on his head in season 2) who was in fact Cath Palug, a part of the Chaos entity who wanted to retreive all Chaos power for himself.
Arthur killed Cath (or at least absorbed him), and 16 years later (present time in 4KoA) he basically became racist and want to wipe every race other than human from the surface of Britania.
No one knows why tho, but given his actions and personality that was show to us in season 1 and 2, he's probably controled or brainwashed by Chaos.
Future will tell us if he really became Magic Donald Trump or if he's a puppet !
