It is kind of wierd that they would use the korean word for vacation when i play on EUW.. but that's something i can overlook for sure - and plus, they also reset my honour level which means i have even more a reason to be excited to play once i finish my vacation, gotta grind those honour levels!

Baus said this many times: the only thing that matters is that you destroy the nexus. The goal isn’t to get a bunch of kills while staying alive. That doesn’t win you the game.
This is the reason Baus’ playstyle works. It doesn’t matter how many times he dies, he will always pressure and play for these objectives.
The higher you go in rank the more people get obsessed with having a positive KDA, is kind of refreshing to watch a player that's just focus on winning by blowing up the nexus at any cost.
Not really off meta. Int sion is just a split pusher and that's completely meta. Sion has also been semi-/full-meta for several seasons. Int sion has been around since his rework, baus just chooses to still do it despite it being utterly tilting to both allies and enemies. He is literally griefing them because inting sion won't show results until much later in the game. By that point, either your team is completely demoralized or the enemy team is completely demoralized. Even if your team wins, they probably still feel like shit after the game. Just look at how tilted Drew got from only watching the game.

the smite is mostly for sustain early and you get a pocket exhaust late, he gets it after 20mins so he doesnt get minion gold debuff

@@FG011 you can either red or blue smite depending on what you need. Red smite is good for doing extra dmg while taking less and blue is good for catching up with high mobility champs. It really depends how the game goes after 20 mins.

A few notes about Sion and this "playstyle":
- Emberknife and Hailblade (the jungle items) can't be purchased early effectively since they carry a debuff that reduces minion gold by 13g flat and minion experience by 50% once your minion gold exceeds your monster gold by a certain amount. However, that debuff is removed by minute 20.
- Yes, you only need to use Smite 5 times, doesn't matter against minions or monsters. It's intended, probably because the game doesn't want you to fall behind on your Smite progress when you have to cover a lane and use Smite to secure a cannon minion.
- You can actually use any item active while in Sion's zombie state, except for potions. So you could technically use items like Battlesong or Locket to buff your team while dying. You can even use Redemption, though without a Spirit Visage, you don't actually gain any healing from Redemption during Zombie State.
- Sion's basic attacks in Zombie State deal an additional 10% maxHP damage on-hit, which not only makes him very dangerous during level 1 invades but he can also 3-tap or even 2-tap squishies champions, since that's physical damage and, as such, subject to armor pen and lethality. He also has 1.75 attack speed during Zombie State, so he can be quickly very dangerous, especially with enabled mobility like Phase Rush or a dash (Prowler's Claw, Galeforce).
- The Q hitbox is bullshit. Despite what it looks like, it's actually not a rectangle area but a cone that expands outwards. You can hit a lot of people beyond the visible edge of the indicator and the indicator is not consistent across all skins either.
- Unstoppable Onslaught does damage to turrets as well, has an 80% AD scaling and does 1200 damage by base at rank 3 if you've run for at least 3 seconds. It's beyond hilarous to nuke both nexus towers as AD Sion.

For the value of smite, as you were asking, supposedly it is useful during the laning phase to smite a camp and go back to lane, as the heal helps you sustain in lane. He didn't use it like that in this game, that's what he said in one of his streams afaik

An inting scion has so much threat towards ending the game that he needs to get camped by a completely fed enemy team whilst his own team takes all objectives loool. Because the second they leave him alone he's taking your tier 3 and inhibs
Honestly, they could have just left the trundle alone to camp the base/side lanes. Pillar + trundle ult counters him pretty hard. He can't kill trundle, but trundle can kill him and even stop his ult. Make it a 4v4 with a fed ori. Trundle might fail to protect inhibs, but nexus turrets would be a lot easier to protect with pillar and ult. By the time sion passive kicks in, pillar will be up again to try and knock him away from the turret. But yeah, the later the game, the more likely he'll knock down the turrets. Once turrets are gone, the game is over. Basically just need to 4 man push and end before nexus turrets go down.
The reason for that late of a jungle item is because after about 20 minutes the jungle item debuff from farming minions goes away. So he gets more xp from jg camps and no debuff from lane minions

Ivern mid with smite teleport . Honestly pretty strong. You can have so much pressure on the enemy jungler.. it's disgusting . Just give it a try guys . For runes go for domination (harvest or electrocute, what makes you feel more comfortable) and sorcery . Go full ap and you will be surprised how easy it is to win lane . I am not high rank , I am d3 so it's pretty playable until diamond I believe

Just so that you understand a bit more of the theory behind the smite taking(although I myself probably wouldn't evaluate it as being worth it most of the time).
The reason he takes jungle item after 20 minutes is because before that point in time he gets jungle gold ruled. That shit blows. He basically gets the ability to more safely get camps or minions a few times in lane with flash but at 25 he gets exhaust ignite in one summoner in exchange for the flash. The thing about Baus' playstyle is that flash is beyond bait. Anytime he could flash to not die, he instead flashes and dies.

Yup, this is how I played sion. Worked REALLY well in solo q. In fact that's how I played pretty much every champ (I played a lot of singed, mundo, etc)

The Baus goes smite mostly for sustain in midlane. He doens't always use it to take the jungle camp but just for the heal. He buys red smite after 20 minutes since that's when it stops giving less gold for minions while having it.

I think this was so funny cuz both players take macros and micro interactions to the limit but in very different ways. Like midbeast literally watches other pros so that he can learn what to do in certain situations like when to roam and when to go to drag but thebausff plays for objectives like towers and just overall becomes a menace that distracts everyone. Like technically they are both going for objectives but thebaus does it in a way that drew can’t even commentate and only react
