I think Andy takes daily "happy pills" to be in such a good mood. Even with breakdowns, he keeps a positive attitude, not yelling, cursing, just a lets get er done attitude. Gotta admire him. Good job sir

He treats people like he wants to be treated, and is better able to keep competent people working WITH him because of that. Nobody wants to be around a temperamental JA. And you see his crew acting like he does. The kids were raised that way, but the non family co-workers are there because of the environment.

Had the same issue. Created two 5/8" plates with threaded holes were needed. Cut a slot in the front of the tube, slid the plate in and pulled it tight against the inside of the tube and then welded the edge of the of the tube.

@@FarmingFixingFabricating No, same direction you were planning. Cut a slot just long and wide enough to slip the plates in at each side.

Andy, After thinking about it, maybe you need TWO Choppers.
Less hours on each one, less travel time.
Then you can start training your sun or daughter on chopping.
I think the investment would be good insurance for the future.
    I know your thinking:
What do I know about your family business, after all I’m just a city boy that became entranced with your blogs.
Please take this in good faith, we love what you do.

    Hi Andy
Love your videos as not a farmer.
You normally blow down the machine each night incase of fires wasn't expecting to see you cutting and welding with hay present.
Would the hay have high moisture within that it wouldn't catch fire.
    Thanks
