Franco Lima 🔥 honestly both routines are sooo much fun. Actually that was the original dance routine for whenever they performed Love Thing (Bravo Super Show, A3, Both Istanbul shows) and then they performed Love Thing 3 times in the 1998 tour at Wembley and they came out with this more complex dance routine. Reason being now that Geri was no longer part of the group they definitely were able to spice up their choreography more.
At the time, they said when Geri left it actually allowed them to sing more and do more challenging choreography.
Love Thing snaps with a band, not the cd version. And I love the routine.
I LOVE how they sound as a 4 some in this show. And Vic's voice is VERY well rested.
This arrangement of "Love Thing" has always been (and probably always will be) my favourite version of the song. 💜

All four of them were literally on fire during this show, this is their best concert by far. They were joyful, danced in sync, were super entertaining and flawless as a singing group and also had a wonderful chemistry with each other. I miss the wonderful 90’s. Please upload the full show
100% agree, this is a marvel of a concert... a joy to watch. However if considering Istanbul 11 months earlier, October 1997 (16 songs in their very first concert, no backing dancers, emotive stress at higher levels etc.) that one almost was even better... ? Sort of a 'magic' that perhaps, not even at Wembley they were able to repeat... just a my idea but, I'm aware many other SG admirers have noticed that.

Istanbul had a lot more lip syncing, so this one was better.

Erano in cinque, il loro primo vero concerto, una grinta con un qualcoa di speciale che riesce difficile esprimere a parole, e che probabilmente non si è più ripetuto.
Qui a Wembley è davvero un concerto splendido, ma ha chiaramente il gusto di un '... arrivederci, torneremo sulla scena ma sarà tutto decisamente diverso... senza dubbio'.
Come ha detto Mel C in un'intervista neppure troppo tempo fa, "...la partenza di Geri è stata, in pratica, l'inizio del declino per noi''.
Does anyone who went here see themselves on screen? I was desperately hoping to be seen but I never saw myself both on the recording of the live box office or the VHS/DVD. Great concert though, the whole show slapped but this song got the adrenaline pumping. So pleased they readded this song in after the US leg. I was 13, now I am 38.
Melanie c on the 2019 tour was just as on point as she is here... literally like she had gone in a time machine!
1:54, GODDESS Mel C's slim but impressively toned body with abdominals in evidence when under strain... looks like perfectly smoothed marble. Her self-discipline in that incredible, hyper-frantic span of Spice Girls' heydays (especially the whole 1997 and 1998) when she routinely underwent heavy diets and physical exercices, simply deserves 1,000% admiration.
All of them in fact were in stressful times due to protracted, heavy workloads with only the very least of rest. In 1998 alone, 98 full concerts in 14 European countries and through the USA were actually compressed into less than 7 months - the whole, together with a lot more committments of every kind.
All what these girls earned back then, they fully deserved it.
It wasn’t self discipline as much as it was an eating disorder. She mentions it in the Giving You Everything documentary if you want to check it out.
@@nicosantana7277 ...the matter doesn't change - the whole thing was a magnificent show of self-discipline though. Not to mention her obsessive gym activity everyday, everywhere, no matter the time and/or location (if I think at the time needed to do everything she wished to do, outside the mere nature of their required committments).
This does mean, simply, a great self-discipline - as clearly admitted and stated in the great book "Wannabe - how Spice Girls reinvented the pop fame" by D. Sinclair.

Bet when they were filming the Wannabe video they couldn't even dream of playing multiple nights at Wembley Stadium! I'm so happy it worked so well for them and I'm grateful to have been swept up in Spice Mania. I was lucky enough to see all 5 of them in concert at the very first UK concert of the Spiceworld Tour in 1998. After that, Geri became more and more distant and reserved. We were some of the last people to ever see her iconic red hair with the front blonde streaks!

.... hai visto il video di Istanbul di un anno prima (Ottobre 1997) con 'Love Thing' eseguita nello stesso modo? Persino migliore secondo me... non saprei dire esattamente in che cosa, ma migliore.
Forse una leggera differenza nella parte strumentale, oppure il loro primissimo vero concerto e quindi una 'magia' speciale che a Wembley non si è ripetuta... qui erano ormai stanche fisicamente e psicologicamente dopo 28 - 29 mesi sotto i riflettori di tutto il mondo, un'avventura condotta a ritmi di lavoro maniacali e quasi assurdi.
