Dee 1 is real man from what I've seen. He's been on helping change the Hip Hop game even when I started listening to him 10 years ago.
Wonderful Case Study! Dee1 damn near gotta watch his back tho now cause I know alot of people that ride for Ross probably gon see about that just for putting his name in his mouth but hey he could speak out about that if it do happen and really blow this whole thing up proving the hypocrisy of MMG and the people impacted by his music.. Ross not a bad dude I produced for him and been to one of his video shoots in Vegas some people gotta learn how to separate entertainment from reality alot of artist dont live thru their raps they just tryna make a living knowing that this is what the masses wanna hear. If conscious music was selling I would think the whole industry would start changing the narrative.
korie said How Rick Ross want us to think how rich he is😂
Only envy would make you highlight that. 😁. Stop hoping people are doing badly to feel good about your own life.
I wouldn’t call it envy Ross goes out his way to flaunt his wealth so he literally demonstrates through his actions that he wants us to perceive him as the richest
The conversation is important because literacy in gen alpha is poor and we got so many images of violence and degeneracy in our culture rn thanks to social media. These black capitalist really only care about money but will try to pretend they are revolutionaries and making big change for the community while exploiting the same people they say they care about. Promoting violence under the guise of it being some peoples real life while offering no nuance about the dangers of said lifestyles to our community is crazyyy in 2024. This situation makes me think about the whole Dj Envy situation too.
We need more people speaking on this stuff because between the project 2025 plans and all these cop city plans springing up around black cities its looking like our government is really trying to make that school to prison pipeline bigger. I think as times get worse people are going to start gravitating more and more towards artist who are "conscious". I dont think that means lyrical miracle but just people who are intentional and truthful about the state of the world.
Dee and I recorded his first mixtape songs in my moms home office and in closets many years ago. My bro, a smart man
41:58 “there for this box” ….. what do you mean by that Sean 🤔 interesting choice of words in regards to Sexxy Redd
I SUBBED FOR THE $1 CUPON THING FROM THE LINK AND IT SAID PAGE NOT FOUND
Do a video extrapolating on PR
I'm tired of ppl shooting down smaller artists ideas and stories just bc they feel like "nobody knows you, you not Kanye Wesr, nobody cares" like SHUT UP. Do you know kanye was once that person that "nobody cared about" LOOK AT HIM NOW. Give music gems on how to get more exposure, but stop trying to shoot ppl ideas and dreams down. Somebody always paying attention.
He sold his soul
Very helpful!!
When X went against drake that was legendary.
Is the distribution service you offer (too lost) like distrokid?
It's not our service but several of our clients use it an love it so it's one of the platforms we support. Yes, it's like DistroKid.
I told people it was a hustle by Dee 1. He has always attached his name to major artists for his projects. People just don't know enough.
Is it jay cant rap? Or jay can trap
I'm dropping Feb 14th
A lot of ppl are
@@TallRonTV that's why I'm letting people know
That’s good bros
Everyone has contradictions and fans especially are the most hypocritical people there is so though D1 should be applauded for rapping positive, calling out rappers who aren't committing crimes but rapping about violence in the world and blaming them for the setbacks in the black community is simply avoiding the real threats to the community. Even those who actually commit violence are the effects not the cause of the black community problems. I'd rather see D1 aim at the cause and if rappers get caught in the line of fire then so be it which means they were standing next to the real threat. That said, Rick Ross was the wrong rapper to be targeting with that message.
@tpain stole my song... I got evidence.. Then he went platinum..

Let's keep it REAL..dude is a CLOUT CHASER! The day he dropped his christian album which he's been doing for years. He decided to go at rappers...it worked but let's see for HOW LONG!
That’s not keeping it real lol. This has literally been Dee-1 since he’s came in the game years ago. He’s created a lane for himself that’s just now getting attention.
@@juswolf22 very true, over 10 years
No different than the drug dealers… let’s keep it honest: give and take from the same community. Leverage the parents and hire the children… predatory at best.
Reformed and guilty as charged.
