A high zoom scope can actually hinder the playing experience because it limits the fov, that one reason the fremingtons edge is a bad gun, aside from poor damage due the dahl barrel
High zoom scopes are the worst of all the scopes in the game. I can't imagine a situation where a 5.0x AR is an advantage as ARs tend to be very inaccurate at the ranges that a 5.0x scope is best suited for. Scopes with a zoom factor greater than 6x are pretty much unusable as your FOV and aim speed are so ridiculously reduced that, unless you get the enemy in frame when you ADS, you're going to have to aim primarily with the hip fire crosshairs and zoom in only when you're ready to fire. Even then, once you aim, you have to be very quick to fire before the enemy jumps out of your frame of vision, which is very likely to happen as your FOV is so small. Here's what I think are the best magnifications for each weapon type: ARs: 1.0x - 3.0x Bandit and Vladof rifles fire too fast and are too inaccurate to be useful with anything more than 2x. Only Dahl and Jakobs guns can really benefit from a 3.0x scope SMGs: 1.0x - 2.5x SMGs are meant for close to mid-range combat and are generally best used as bullet hoses. The best SMG scopes are the basic reflex and iron sights. Dahl and Hyperion SMGs might benefit a little from a 2 or 2.5x scope but that's about it. Shotguns: 1.0x - 1.5x Because shotguns in this game are so abysmal at anything greater than mid-range, having a scope that restricts your FOV is going to be a huge hindrance. Pistols: 1.0x - 3.0x Pistols are probably the most varied class of guns in the game. Vladof and Bandit pistols behave more like SMGs and thus are better off with a low-mag scope. Dahl, Torgue and Jakobs generally all have some longer range capability and thus go well with 2 - 3x scopes. Snipers: 4.0x - 5.5x Sniper rifles are incredibly slow to aim when scoped in. They are also only really useful in long range applications, something that a long range scope only compounds. By having a lower zoom scope you make the rifle much more versatile. You get a much bigger picture of the battlefield, leaving you less exposed to threats and giving you much better reaction capability. Also keep in mind that the zoom of the scope really has no bearing on accuracy. You can just as easily land consistent criticals with a 4.5x scope as you would with a 7.0x one. I would bet you could be more accurate with the low zoom scope as you have much better target tracking capability than you would with the high zoom one. Launchers: 1.0x - 3.0x Launchers generally have the slowest projectiles in the game and thus are already inherently inaccurate by design. On slower launchers you need the ability to track the rocket's flight path in order to make adjustments. I would say that the only launchers that can benefit from a higher zoom are the ones that have fast projectiles.
I Always use red-dot type sights. Dahl for SMGs, Vladof for ARs, Maliwan/Torgue for pistols, Torgue / no scope for shotguns (who the hell thought putting full zoom-in scopes on SHOTGUNS would be a good idea? Imagine putting a Jakobs scope on a Quad or even a Coach Gun) and Vladof for Snipers, I've never needed any zoom longer than the shortest kind available on snipers.

Sometimes I don't know if you play anything but axton with Dahl assault rifles because most people I know, would prefer Dahl scopes because they have the LOWEST zoom of and weapon type. Anyone else feel like that Micheal Mamaril should give Unique blue weapons that youve already earned from missions so that theres a source of higher level versions of that gun without restarting playthroughs? an example of this would be if you got a level 59 heart breaker and he could give you them later on lets say at level 67 if you found him at level 67.

Ever tried a binary thunder ball fist with bore? Jump and shoot through for a one shot against badasses. Wasted a few skills since you don’t crit. It stands a very good chance against most raid bosses. Pryo Pete especially. Don’t even have to jump. Take that with a rough rider and fearless. Chaotic neutral class mod, sheriff badge. Shield doesn’t even matter as long as you got something for fire and corrosion. But I had some good fun with the bee
I was once doing a Maliwan only run and found a Maliwan pistol with the Vadlof barrel. It was rather awkward because the gun only had a magazine capacity of six rounds and each shot consumed two. So three shots and bam, reload time. Sadly no spray and pray in that pistol.

The double accessory on the Vladof pistol ( DVA is the prefix) sucks because a vladof anarchist with the Melee attachment has a fire rate of 10.4, whereas the a Vladof anarchist with the double attachment has a fire rate of 5.6 or so, which given Vladof's lower base damage and accuracy, just sucks.
To me Bandit Rocket Launcher grip is the top best because it'll give you a free knife and also balances recoil (I tested) and gives +2-3 magazine size to other rockets and a +5 or more mags to a bandit rocket and slight increase of damage

I was once doing a Maliwan only run and found a Maliwan pistol with the Vadlof barrel. It was rather awkward because the gun only had a magazine capacity of six rounds and each shot consumed two. So three shots and bam, reload time. Sadly no spray and pray in that pistol.

The double accessory on the Vladof pistol ( DVA is the prefix) sucks because a vladof anarchist with the Melee attachment has a fire rate of 10.4, whereas the a Vladof anarchist with the double attachment has a fire rate of 5.6 or so, which given Vladof's lower base damage and accuracy, just sucks.

To me Bandit Rocket Launcher grip is the top best because it'll give you a free knife and also balances recoil (I tested) and gives +2-3 magazine size to other rockets and a +5 or more mags to a bandit rocket and slight increase of damage
