    Sorry I don't get it. I have been watching videos about the WIX app for an hour. As usual, CZcamsrs tell a lot bout "how to" but nothing, not even a tiny intro about the "why to".
    Everything I see is around how good it is to push notify customers, get them to pay, etc... Here is my question: What is the motivation of someone to go install a Wix app? What does it do more than the mobile version of the website? Why would my customers spend time installing an app? What's in it for them? Do they need to update their app every time I add a new product or service? What am I missing? Thank you for your answer.

    Thank you for your informative video. I'm feeling a bit green with this information that I had not considered at this level and point in my new business. I hope you'll answer the following question. I want to take advantage of and launch the mobile app and need to know if I change info on my mobile app, will that impact the info on my website? I need to decreased the storylines on the app. Also, I did not know that there is a monthly fee for the mobile app. I don't see where that's communicated and where we're asked if we want to incur that fee.

    What did you mean when you said split the paid site from membership site? Is that within the navigation of one wix site or two separate WIX websites?

    Hello Emily, thank you so much for your detailed information on the branded app. I have a question.
    When it comes to the branded app, how does it determine how far you are down the list when searching a category?

  • @Thewealthy
    @Thewealthy Před 10 měsíci

    My idea was to make both free members and paid members use the app, but you advise to create 2 separate websites. I’m wondering if there would be problems accessing the paid stuff since the membership wasn’t paid on the same website…

    Will Apple and Google bother you after you pass review and do an update to your App, do they bother you on every update or leave you alone after you pass the first review process?
    Thanks

    Hi Emily. Thank you for another great video. Just wondering, apart from being branded, what would you say are the advantages over the Members area on Spaces by Wix ?

      @thewixcollective  Před 2 lety +2

      Hello Sandra!
      Thank you for your comment. That’s a great question. The Wix Spaces app and the Branded App are essentially the same thing except that the branded app would not say “Wix” anywhere and it would be available in the App Store. I hope that helps!

    Great video! I have a service based membership & do live streaming videos as part of my subscription. I love that Wix has this feature! I'm not super tech savvy but I'm wondering if subscribers could view my live steams through the app? Feels like only a wish or dream when I even type it but never know til ya ask lol

    • @thewixcollective
      @thewixcollective  Před rokem

      Hey Vanessa! Great question. Wix offers live video streaming but I have not mastered it yet. It seems way too clunky in comparison with Zoom. The app might be awesome for your member engagement but I’d recommend sticking with Zoom (or the like) for lives at this time.

    Hi Emily, Thanks for your video. I have also started using the branded app and stuck with the pricing plan option. In your video, you mentioned keeping seperate sites for free and paid online courses - does it mean separate pages with permission control by members and members with pricing-plan?

    Emily- can you explain the way to do the landing page concept. We obviously sell plans on our website. The Wix free spaces app has our memberships and sells courses...now would I HIDE that on the app submission of we really do want that info in our App?

    • @thewixcollective
      @thewixcollective  Před rokem +2

      Hello again! Unfortunately, if you have the app listed in Apple stores, it will remove the membership info automatically and you will have to send users to a browser window to purchase. I recommend hiding all memberships and pricing plans on the app (not mobile or desktop) during submission to eliminate confusion and the possibility of your app taking longer to approve. One approved, you will still not be able to sell memberships on your app, but you can place a button on a page on the app that takes users to a browser to purchase a membership.
      I hope that helps!

    I discovered your YT looking up Wix App. I have a Website. I sell my own merch.
    I have a new venture for creating an app separate from my 1st Wix.
    Question.
    Can I create a Multi Vendor Matketplace App on Wix? It’s mostly for Barbers and other related businesses.
    I need it too, set up free sign ups for customers, then business sign ups for a subscription fee.
    The Business Account will need to, set up Location and services for customers to search and book appointments, Manage appointments, and a check out POS system.
    Do you think that’s possible?

    • @thewixcollective
      @thewixcollective  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the comment! I will try to answer as best as I can and also ask a few clarifying questions as well.
      1. You can create a sign up/log in that has different levels of membership, both paid and free.
      2. Wix can be used to set up bookings (video coming soon!) with different locations, services and staff.
      3. Wix can manage appointments, provide a checkout and they have their own POS but I have not tested it yet.
      4. When you say “multi vendor marketplace” do you mean you want to have several different people selling on your site (like Etsy)? Or do you mean you have several staff providing services?

    Our biggest concern is will it give our congregation a better experience than spaces since that’s what the church has been using for a while now …. What benefit would if actually give us to switch from spaces to branded …..

    Hi emily, I have been using the Wix app builder and was wondering if there was anyway to make it such that once the app is opened the user is prompted to sign in straight away?
    I am making a yoga app that is meant for a company to buy memberships for its employees. The idea is that the company would buy a certain number of access codes, then the employees just have to use that access code once when first opening the app to ensure that only people who have been paid for can access the content.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Does the app have a member specific page for each user? I don’t see an option for this

    • @thewixcollective
      @thewixcollective  Před rokem +1

      You can edit the permissions on each page to be set to "Members Only" however, if you are looking for more of a "Private Page" for each member there isn't a way to build that in the app, however, you can build it on your website and then link to it from the app. It is more of a workaround but I hope it helps.

    • @thewixcollective
      @thewixcollective  Před 2 lety +2

      It is unfortunate! I agree, for some the app is worth the money and for others it doesn’t fit their business model. I’d say if your website’s main focus are courses or online communities an app would be AMAZING! If you’re more blog or e-commerce driven, I’m not sure it would be an advantage. Thanks for the comment!

    Want to make sure I understood correctly, the reason why you can’t have a shop or sell pricing plans on the app is because of google and Apple not approving the review?

    • @thewixcollective
      @thewixcollective  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes, with this system Apple would not allow pricing plans to be sold in the Wix App. It could change in the future. For now, I use a button on the app that links to the web version of the purchase page and it seems seems to be working well.

    • @madonnagott5365

      @@thewixcollective I think you were limited only by the plan you had chosen through Wix. The basic plan doesn't allow in app payments but the unlimited plan clearly says it allows in app payments and selling subscriptions. It is $250 per month though (AUD). Please let me know if you were only on the basic plan, if not then I'm really confused.

    • @madonnagott5365
      @madonnagott5365 Před 2 lety +5

      Wait, I just clicked on a little ? icon and it says "In-app purchases for digital goods and services are currently unavailable for customers on iOS devices in compliance with Apple’s purchase policy, however, this feature will be supported soon" This is next to the statement that in-app payments are supported. Wow! Thats pretty deceiving!
