I love the way the audience responded to Jimin. When he started singing, they all roared the loudest, then abruptly got super quiet so they could hear him. Talk about everybody sharing one brain cell! 😁💜

Jin’s voice suits traditional songs and all sounded and look amazing. They just stand out amongst others
I'm not sure why...maybe because I miss Jin...but when he stepped forward so confidently and started singing with his beautiful velvety toned voice, I started tearing up. I really miss all of them. And this cultural song is so sweet. RM in the back with those huge black rimmed glasses. Excellent style. It also warms my heart that they all say on "Suchwita" they all can't wait until they're back together in 2025. And Jin talking in their group chat, he misses performing. Anyway, this struck my heart. My dream is to be in the audience in 2025 at their first show! Thanks for this song Roscoe!

Its a traditional sound given the bts midas touch....so good....
This was the first KCON in France. The performing artists were SHINee, f(x), F.T. Island, Block B, BTS, and IOI. (I remember Block B from the epic dance battle in 2014 where Jimin ripped off his shirt.)
No one can forget Jimin stripping off his shirt. EXCEPT...maybe Roscoe. I don't think he's seen it. Please encourage him to watch all those special shows. I think he has only seen MMA 2019.

Arirang is a traditional Korean folk song that has been handed down and recreated orally (it is estimated to be originated some 600+ years ago). It refers to a group of folk songs that have refrains like 'Arirang~' or 'Arari~' and their variations. There are many Arirangs with different rhythms, beats, and lyrics.
The trace of '아리' (ari) being used in ancient Korea to mean 'elegant', 'refined', 'beautiful', or 'lovely' can be found in the modern Korean word '아리따운' (arittaun). Therefore, the meaning of '아리랑' (Arirang) is ‘with(rang) beautiful person(ari)'. Another meaning of '아리' (ari) contains the sentiment of 'longing' or 'missing'. There are parts of the song where Ari refers to different meaning, but I am not going to translate many versions of the song.
Arirang embodies the societal and historical transformations of the Korean people and even poses existential issues. It has maintained a consistent and powerful presence throughout Korean literature and cultural history. Arirang is considered an ‘unofficial’ national anthem.
BTS’s choreography on the song has some elements (hand gestures) of Korean folk dance.

Oh so happy u discovered this! It was a phenomenal Kcon opening by BTS. Their killer choreography was just totally slay & blonde Jin just did me in. All of them sounded great & really kudos to them, dancing & singing to that crazy choreo, it was mind-blowing! & yes when everyone else came out & join in, it was just pure goosebumps!
