This is when my life was the easiest and less stressful. Everyday was a good day and i was always happy and the only bad times were when i would have an argument with my family. Everything was so much more relaxed and everyone was happy. 2016 was also amazing it wasn't my early childhood but was still amazing. I have some amazing memories. 2017 was also very good. I went to Poland for Christmas because my mum is Polish and it was amazing. 2018 was actually very good. I went to secondary school (or high school) and since then everything has started feeling different. I went to Mauritius in October because my dad is Mauritian, and it was litteral the best time of my life so far. 2019 was very good. I got used to high school, and i went to Paris im summer with my dad for my birthday and it was amazing. I also went to poland for Christmas again and I absolutely loved it. I made a friend there and they spoke English so it was easier to speak to them. 2020 was horrible. I started feeling shit at school. The beginning of lockdown was pretty good as i got to stay at home, but after a while got a bit boring. Going back to real school was terrible and i had bad anxiety. However, i have very good memories from the beginning of the year in January. 2021 was better than 2020. I still had anxiety in school but it went away in late 2021. I also had a very good birthday, amd have other good memories, however there were also very bad things happening. Now, in 2022, I'm feeling better in school, but now things are getting stressful as I'm getting ready for GCSEs and im failing all my classes. However I've had some fun and am getting on very well with friends. I miss how simple things were back then, but as I'm growing up, i can do things more independent, exciting and dangerous with friends which I couldn't do back then. I also have some exciting things i want to do some time next year. My dad might take me to Chicago for my 16th bday. Thank you so much for reading this far if you did. 2012: I'm 15. Life outside of school was pretty good. Very socially awkward. First Metalcore concert I ever went to. 2013: Hating school. Discover Henry Rollins. Getting real edgy. Don't know how good I had it though. 2014: Graduate school. Depression sets in. Great music. 2015: A year of panic and misery. 2016: Worst anxiety imaginable. Somehow managed to get a full time job 2017: Begin antidepressants and they work. Join a band. 2018: Band going good. 2019: Panic attacks make it hard to sustain band life. But I push through. Felt suicidal sometimes. 2020: Interesting year lots of ups and downs. Started getting into running and felt amazing for the first half of the year. Felt suicidal by the end of the year and quit the band. Started lifting. 2021: A year of healing. Feeling grateful to be alive. 2022: Just existing. Felt too tired to do much. Depression now comes in intense waves. Still lifting. Depression makes it hard to make progress although I'm 10kg's heavier from when I started. Looking for a way forward. Never going to give up. The search continues.

2020 for me was the best year. I had 11 months of free time. Then online school started and it was a mild inconvenience for 2-3 hours then free time again. It was GLORIOUS.

About 2019 the same occurred to me, it was mediocre (it turned horrible at some times when my grades went down and I eventually got more and more frustrated I almost wanted to cry out) until October, which was pretty fine from that month until I experienced some physical problems (I once vomited at school and on November my right knee swelled up and it was painful for me to move it)

i agree with michal rosen on 2022 and 2020 they were just..terrible all of it was staying in your homes and not going outside for months it was and still is just terrible, hopefully 2023 will be better
2012: Around the start of my memories, a lot of great childhood moments, the era in which I had not a care in the world. 2013: Same as 2012, it was pretty great. 2014: Had some of the worst moments in my entire life with medical issues and a ton of painful moments. But aside from that it was the same as 2012 and 2013, a great childhood and a lot of fun moments. 2015: Amazing year. This is where I met one of my friends who to this day I'm still best friends with. 2016: Pretty mediocre year all around. Still a happy and blissful era for me and I was pretty happy looking back. I considered that year the worst back then because of the bullying, this guy I was friends with who I actually didn't like all that much, and the academic pressure. But now I'd go back to those days in a heartbeat. 2017: WAY better than 2016. One of the best years for me. Met another one of my closest friends, started a new comic series that I really enjoyed making and everyone really enjoyed reading. Unfortunately though my mother accidentally threw it out. That was another one of the worst moments of my life, seeing the comics I had penning all year be thrown in the trash in an instant. But aside from that amazing year. (Also the year I got glasses which was pretty cool.) 2018: My favorite movie of all-time Spider-Verse came out AND another one of my favorites Infinity War came out. Pretty much the same beat as 2017 it was pretty good though I can't really remember much outside of those movies. 2019: The last good year. It was a great run and it was really fun. 2020: When the virus started up I thought it was a temporary thing and was happy school was out for what seemed to be a week or two. Then school was out forever. It was fun at the time but it didn't really set in how terrible this was for me socially until later in the year. How isolated it would make me feel. 2021: This was when the cracks started to form. I had finally realized just how horrible this situation was and it didn't get better from there. It had some bright spots though. 2 cats and a dog showed up by the house who we took care of. The dog was the neighbor's and I have a fear of dogs so it was pretty scary but he was pretty cute. The mama cat and her son were amazing though. They made me realize how much I love cats. Unfortunately everything started to go downhill when the dog went missing and the mama cat passed away, her bones in our front yard. From then on, her son, who I named James was the only one who remained. Night and day, he would stay by our house. Even when our dad wouldn't let him inside, he would stay there, ever persistent. I loved him. Still do. He was my best friend. 2022: All that ominous build-up has payed off because in January 2022 we had to move and leave James behind. It was one of the worst moments of my life. Rest of the year has been awful. Been in a pretty big depressive slump. Hope 2023 is better but that's a really low bar to clear because this has easily been the worst year of my life.
2022 was when my life finally started to get on track, so I'm going with that I've overcome so much depression, I'm doing well career wise It's a great year

Constantly in crisis, insulting myself and even my family all the fucking time which made me insult myself more out of guilt, horrible relationship issues, horrible academics, horrible social issues in general. Honestly, 2013 and 14 were the best years of my life, but this year (2022 for people reading this after New Years Eve) is the worst year since it essentially feels like Pandora's Box has been open and me, my family and the Ukraine (Thanks for reminding me @dragonrykr) are the only one's feeling the effects. 2020 was pretty bad because of the Aug. 10 Derecho (I live in the mid west), 2021 happened, and the rest of the 2010's also kinda happened, but in a good way for 2010,11,12, and 15.
2014 was an incredible time to go to the movies. Banger movies were dropping left and right. Frozen had just dropped, Godzilla, the Lego Movie. Great time to be a kid. 2016 Harambe died 😭😭😭
2010 - From what I remember, good 2011 - Pretty good, I remember playing Ocarina of Time a lot this year 2012 - Very good year, some good media as well 2013 - Kind of like 2012 Pt. 2, also very good. I played a lot of New Leaf this year 2014 - It was fine. That’s all 2015 - This one was also pretty good, but mildly forgettable. I probably forgot most of it from watching a lot of Cartoon Network that year. Back when it was still kinda good, I mean 2016 - The internet overall decreased in quality, other than that pretty forgettable 2017 - Great year, especially for video games. Probably the best year ever for video games, actually 2018 - Kinda sucked actually, I got a lot worse as a person, which I like to think I’ve fixed 2019 - Meh at the time, but I made some good memories - probably my best memories since it’s a very recent year and so I remember it quite well 2020 - Not as bad as people say in my opinion, I got a lot of good online memories with my friends out of it. 2012-2018 had been the best years for me, until 2020. When's the year comes in, something getting way different than these past years, after years later in 2021, then I thought "2020 wasn't that bad either, gave me nostalgia." What I can take from all these years is each years we go through always got some memories and nostalgia (even the bad years) like how I would like the world be like in 2017 again, or either before 2017, or even 2020, since lockdown mades new memories.
I rather forget 2017 honesty. Lats days of 7th grade was bad and so was animation but season 5 of Samurai Jack was good. After a crappy summer, starting 8th grade triggered me
I loved 2021. I was playing Smash Ultimate a lot and mained a new character, E3 actually happened, Spiderman: No Way Home came out, and, speaking of that, my family went back to movie theaters after a long break (2020). I also loved the Nintendo games released that year, and that led to me discovering a new franchise I didn't know I'd love so much.
For me, until 2018 things were going right, after everything started to go wrong, 2013 until 2017 were the best years of my life, on the other hand, 2019-2022, are being horrible for me, I don't know how people consider it 2019 the best year in the world, I completely disagree

Lost touch with everyone, sucked at independent learning. Completely shattered my ego. 2017: Lovely 2018: Suicidal. Fuck. Things got OK towards the end once I ditched Christianity. 2019: Life is good again 2020: Literally wrote a suicide note and planned out how I was going to do it 2021: Same as 2020. For me: this is basically gonna be based on my personal life about what I think of every year from starting with 2012-2022. 2012: A Very good year even though I was 9 years old but I had good times especially in elementary. We even got some good and decent video games and movies. 2013: It was one of the best years in my life. It was the year that GTA V was released and I remember watching my cousin play GTA V and he also let me play a couple times. It was fun 2014: It was also a good year but it was also bad as well. I feel like this year was kinda like my shit because I wanted to stay in school mostly because staying home was kinda hell for me but it’s a long story 2015: It was okay year had to goodbye to all my friends in elementary and was going to middle school. However, middle school wasn’t good for me at all because I started getting bullied and even some teacher talked trash about me as well 2016: A Bad year because I was still in middle school again in 7th Grade and I felt completely empty because back there, staying home and school were hell for me and I couldn’t even find peace 2017: a terrible year for me in history. I lost my dog Luigi and he was my childhood best friend. Ever since that, haven’t been outside in my backyard because I have no dog to play with anymore. Not only that but once time in school. I was jumped and got robbed because there were a group of bullies who didn’t like me cuz of my disability. 😢 2018: It was bad at first but it went good later on. Got my first girlfriend and it went well until things changed later on. I also got to meet a lot of new friends. My family started to finally stop treating like a kid and let me do whatever I want. So I stay after school with my girlfriend and friends to hangout. 2019: The same with 2018 but it was the complete opposite. My girlfriend and I broke up during the summer and it was a horrible summer because it was really hard to get over with her and I started to became a jerk to everyone including my family because I wasn’t the same person they know anymore and I mostly wanted to stay home after school because I felt like it was like a safe spot to cry and be alone. I had some friends who turned my back on me because they started to become popular wannabes or gangster wannabes but my dumbass self was stupid enough that I was still friends with them. Basically I have done bad things I’ve regret. 2020: It was really bad at first but it became really good afterwards. I know that saying 2020 was a good year for me is bad but I guess ever since I started to became introvert in 2019 due to issues with my gf and friends but however, I managed to kick them out of my life. Anyway, I had fun playing games with my brother and we will play nonstop. I also played with his friends online and it was an absolute blast only because I quit going outside and I saw the inside. 2021: It was good at first but it was a living hell for me. An absolute terrible year because let’s just say that COVID fucked my 12th grade year in high school because had to graduate throughout online school. My second gf broke up with me for unknown reason and it was again harder for me to get over with. I ruined my 18th birthday because I also became a jerk. Don’t know why I always became a jerk when it comes with breakups in relationships with girls. Maybe I choose the wrong ones to be with but anyway, I was again a jerk but this time, I was a jerk to my friends because I was really ungrateful that they tried their best to make me forget about my second ex but I didn’t listen and I got really mad for calling her a bitch. I made up some stupid advice that “girlfriend will come back to you” but I guess that advice didn’t work after all. After graduated from high school, had to get a job and get accepted to college but it was hell for me because I’ve dealt with some rude co-workers in my workplace and college, all of my classes were online classes. So yeah, 2021 was an absolute nightmare and a mess because honest, I ruined it and I also had to move on to adulthood but however, at least I had learned my lesson to be grateful what you have. 2022: it’s going good so far. I finally got in-person classes in college and I also became a team member of my workplace and I have been getting a lot of money than usual last year. I also finally to started to hang with friends after taking a longer break from hanging outside. It’s going good so far and let’s see how this year will end for me
The entirety of the mid 2000s or "teen thousands" were treasure to be honest! Despite of the hardships me and my folks endured, the nostalgia of both junior and senior high days were unforgettable. I miss the music, the atmosphere, the cartoons and documentaries i used to watch, the trends (that i wasn't into). We used to gather in my grandfather's house during Fridays and Sunday morning for a church sermon. It was lovely💗 it felt the last echoes of the early 2000s. And it was all lost in 2020. Everything changed for the worst.

Well, a year after in 2017 sucked for me ultra-hard. I was finishing 7th grade at the time I started to hate easter after my failed family road trip to my sister's house, summer was bad, and started 8th grade. 😢😢
2007-2015: barely remember anything 2016: amazing year, pokemon go was released which i still play today, and a lot of fun times at school :) 2017: first time i ever went to a country outside of Canada (Japan). It was fun, but also pretty forgettable for me. 2018: best year of my life so far. definitely the year i was closest with my friends and we did a lot of stuff together. 2019: almost as good as 2018 but it was the last year at my good school :( (a lot of good things happened this year as well tho) 2020: looking back at it, not as bad as what came next. yeah the pandemic was in full swing, but i made a LOT of new friends in a server i discovered. got a LOT worse in december though. 2021: worst year of my life yet. while it started getting better near the end, this year was the first time i experience burnout, AND got depressed. fun times :))))))))))))))))))))))) 2022: eh. it's okay so far. could be a lot better, but compared to 2020 and 2021, it's definitely better than both. getting into going for walks and stuff now so its cool
2016 was a great year for me. But I was only 11 years old. But 2017 sucked but I loved 2018 and 2019. And honestly I loved the first half of 2020 but then along came the pandemic

I agree with you about 2018 and 2019 and 2015, similar things kind of happened to me. 2019 was horrible for me, as I started to have emotional damage and grades lowering in the first half, then from October onwards my physical conditions worsened, on November my right knee had swollen so much that I could not move it much, and if I did it hurt like hell.

I graduated from elementary school and entered 6th grade which would end up being one of my favorite school years. We went to Disney World with some friends in March of that year for my brother’s birthday as well. I also received my first phone this year, so that’s something. Additionally, I remember the day I graduated from elementary school, after the ceremony, my brother, mom and I met up with our dad to eat somewhere, and he told me that he thought I would be interested in coding/computer programming, something I didn’t really know about until then. After that, I had gained an interested in it and now hope to major in computer science. :) 2016: Not outstanding, but still good. This was the year where I really began getting into music, especially electronic acts such as Daft Punk and Justice (they were the first bands that I listened to regularly, and I still enjoy them quite a bit) 2017: Okay, but did have some highlights. I went on a road trip to Georgia with some family, and that was pretty nice. My state was hit by a hurricane this year and we did lose power for a few days. However, this was also the year I started to get interested in music production and making videos and other little projects on my computer, something that, in my opinion, has taken me pretty far. 2018: First half was fine, but second half was pretty great! Went to South Carolina and St. Augustine that year on a road trip, I graduated middle school, and began high school, my first year of which was a pretty interesting experience. 2019: Favorite year of my life so far. Went to North Carolina in the early part of the year and saw snow for the first time, went to New York during the summer (this has remained my favorite road trip of the ones I’ve been on). Music production became one of my favorite hobbies, and my CZcams channel started to gain some traction. I also feel like this is the first year where I felt as if I grew significantly as a person, coming out of it more experienced and more mature on many fronts. 2020: *NO.* 2021: An improvement from 2021, I got into a lot more music during this time, and I feel like this year was one of my more prolific ones, in terms of music, videos, etc. Wasn’t as great as the other ones, but still decent. 2022: Absolutely awful year. I’ve dealt with anxiety over a lot of things (although I’ve been prone to it for a few years now), I’ve barely gotten anything done creatively, we’ve had a couple of family issues/emergencies as well. I even got covid AND the flu at the same time (the first time I’ve ever had EITHER, and it’s when I get both of them at once) in September, which admittedly wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be, but I still have been getting concerned over a myriad of things, no matter how important or trivial. started my first semester of college online but haven’t really been doing the greatest, and at times I feel like I haven’t really progressed much in recent months. I’m hoping 2023 is better, and I do have a feeling that it might be a great year. :)
2018 was the last carefree year for me, it had the best Samsung phone ever released, also I managed to play FNaF VR and got a new phone for my Birthday. It's nothing special, but it's an ending of an era, 2019 was good, but after 2020 everything went downhill.

Summary (ty for reading this far): the early tens were the best years of my life. This is when my life was the easiest and less stressful. Everyday was a good day and i was always happy and the only bad times were when i would have an argument with my family. Everything was so much more relaxed and everyone was happy. 2016 was also amazing it wasn't my early childhood but was still amazing. I have some amazing memories. 2017 was also very good. I went to Poland for Christmas because my mum is Polish and it was amazing. 2018 was actually very good. I went to secondary school (or high school) and since then everything has started feeling different. I went to Mauritius in October because my dad is Mauritian, and it was litteral the best time of my life so far. 2019 was very good. I got used to high school, and i went to Paris im summer with my dad for my birthday and it was amazing. I also went to poland for Christmas again and I absolutely loved it. I made a friend there and they spoke English so it was easier to speak to them. 2020 was horrible. I started feeling shit at school. The beginning of lockdown was pretty good as i got to stay at home, but after a while got a bit boring. Going back to real school was terrible and i had bad anxiety. However, i have very good memories from the beginning of the year in January. 2021 was better than 2020. I still had anxiety in school but it went away in late 2021. I also had a very good birthday, amd have other good memories, however there were also very bad things happening. Now, in 2022, I'm feeling better in school, but now things are getting stressful as I'm getting ready for GCSEs and im failing all my classes. However I've had some fun and am getting on very well with friends. I miss how simple things were back then, but as I'm growing up, i can do things more independent, exciting and dangerous with friends which I couldn't do back then. I also have some exciting things i want to do some time next year. My dad might take me to Chicago for my 16th bday. Thank you so much for reading this far if you did. 2020 for me was the best year. I had 11 months of free time. Then online school started and it was a mild inconvenience for 2-3 hours then free time again. It was GLORIOUS.

About 2019 the same occurred to me, it was mediocre (it turned horrible at some times when my grades went down and I eventually got more and more frustrated I almost wanted to cry out) until October, which was pretty fine from that month until I experienced some physical problems (I once vomited at school and on November my right knee swelled up and it was painful for me to move it)

2012: Around the start of my memories, a lot of great childhood moments, the era in which I had not a care in the world.
2013: Same as 2012, it was pretty great.
2014: Had some of the worst moments in my entire life with medical issues and a ton of painful moments. But aside from that it was the same as 2012 and 2013, a great childhood and a lot of fun moments.
2015: Amazing year. This is where I met one of my friends who to this day I'm still best friends with.
2016: Pretty mediocre year all around. Still a happy and blissful era for me and I was pretty happy looking back. I considered that year the worst back then because of the bullying, this guy I was friends with who I actually didn't like all that much, and the academic pressure. But now I'd go back to those days in a heartbeat.
2017: WAY better than 2016. One of the best years for me. Met another one of my closest friends, started a new comic series that I really enjoyed making and everyone really enjoyed reading. Unfortunately though my mother accidentally threw it out. That was another one of the worst moments of my life, seeing the comics I had penning all year be thrown in the trash in an instant. But aside from that amazing year. (Also the year I got glasses which was pretty cool.)
2018: My favorite movie of all-time Spider-Verse came out AND another one of my favorites Infinity War came out. Pretty much the same beat as 2017 it was pretty good though I can't really remember much outside of those movies.
2019: The last good year. It was a great run and it was really fun.
2020: When the virus started up I thought it was a temporary thing and was happy school was out for what seemed to be a week or two. Then school was out forever. It was fun at the time but it didn't really set in how terrible this was for me socially until later in the year. How isolated it would make me feel.
2021: This was when the cracks started to form. I had finally realized just how horrible this situation was and it didn't get better from there. It had some bright spots though. 2 cats and a dog showed up by the house who we took care of. The dog was the neighbor's and I have a fear of dogs so it was pretty scary but he was pretty cute. The mama cat and her son were amazing though. They made me realize how much I love cats. Unfortunately everything started to go downhill when the dog went missing and the mama cat passed away, her bones in our front yard. From then on, her son, who I named James was the only one who remained. Night and day, he would stay by our house. Even when our dad wouldn't let him inside, he would stay there, ever persistent. I loved him. Still do. He was my best friend.
2022: All that ominous build-up has payed off because in January 2022 we had to move and leave James behind. It was one of the worst moments of my life. Rest of the year has been awful. Been in a pretty big depressive slump. Hope 2023 is better but that's a really low bar to clear because this has easily been the worst year of my life.

Honestly, 2013 and 14 were the best years of my life, but this year (2022 for people reading this after New Years Eve) is the worst year since it essentially feels like Pandora's Box has been open and me, my family and the Ukraine (Thanks for reminding me @dragonrykr) are the only one's feeling the effects. 2020 was pretty bad because of the Aug. 10 Derecho (I live in the mid west), 2021 happened, and the rest of the 2010's also kinda happened, but in a good way for 2010,11,12, and 15.

2014 was an incredible time to go to the movies. Banger movies were dropping left and right. Frozen had just dropped, Godzilla, the Lego Movie. Great time to be a kid. 2016 Harambe died 😭😭😭

I was playing Smash Ultimate a lot and mained a new character, E3 actually happened, Spiderman: No Way Home came out, and, speaking of that, my family went back to movie theaters after a long break (2020). I also loved the Nintendo games released that year, and that led to me discovering a new franchise I didn't know I'd love so much.

For me: this is basically gonna be based on my personal life about what I think of every year from starting with 2012-2022.
2012: A Very good year even though I was 9 years old but I had good times especially in elementary. We even got some good and decent video games and movies.
2013: It was one of the best years in my life. It was the year that GTA V was released and I remember watching my cousin play GTA V and he also let me play a couple times. It was fun
2014: It was also a good year but it was also bad as well. I feel like this year was kinda like my shit because I wanted to stay in school mostly because staying home was kinda hell for me but it’s a long story
2015: It was okay year had to goodbye to all my friends in elementary and was going to middle school. However, middle school wasn’t good for me at all because I started getting bullied and even some teacher talked trash about me as well
2016: A Bad year because I was still in middle school again in 7th Grade and I felt completely empty because back there, staying home and school were hell for me and I couldn’t even find peace
2017: a terrible year for me in history. I lost my dog Luigi and he was my childhood best friend. Ever since that, haven’t been outside in my backyard because I have no dog to play with anymore. Not only that but once time in school. I was jumped and got robbed because there were a group of bullies who didn’t like me cuz of my disability. 😢
2018: It was bad at first but it went good later on. Got my first girlfriend and it went well until things changed later on. I also got to meet a lot of new friends. My family started to finally stop treating like a kid and let me do whatever I want. So I stay after school with my girlfriend and friends to hangout.
2019: The same with 2018 but it was the complete opposite. My girlfriend and I broke up during the summer and it was a horrible summer because it was really hard to get over with her and I started to became a jerk to everyone including my family because I wasn’t the same person they know anymore and I mostly wanted to stay home after school because I felt like it was like a safe spot to cry and be alone. I had some friends who turned my back on me because they started to become popular wannabes or gangster wannabes but my dumbass self was stupid enough that I was still friends with them. Basically I have done bad things I’ve regret.
2020: It was really bad at first but it became really good afterwards. I know that saying 2020 was a good year for me is bad but I guess ever since I started to became introvert in 2019 due to issues with my gf and friends but however, I managed to kick them out of my life. Anyway, I had fun playing games with my brother and we will play nonstop. I also played with his friends online and it was an absolute blast only because I quit going outside and I saw the inside.
2021: It was good at first but it was a living hell for me. An absolute terrible year because let’s just say that COVID fucked my 12th grade year in high school because had to graduate throughout online school. My second gf broke up with me for unknown reason and it was again harder for me to get over with. I ruined my 18th birthday because I also became a jerk. Don’t know why I always became a jerk when it comes with breakups in relationships with girls. Maybe I choose the wrong ones to be with but anyway, I was again a jerk but this time, I was a jerk to my friends because I was really ungrateful that they tried their best to make me forget about my second ex but I didn’t listen and I got really mad for calling her a bitch. I made up some stupid advice that “girlfriend will come back to you” but I guess that advice didn’t work after all. After graduated from high school, had to get a job and get accepted to college but it was hell for me because I’ve dealt with some rude co-workers in my workplace and college, all of my classes were online classes. So yeah, 2021 was an absolute nightmare and a mess because honest, I ruined it and I also had to move on to adulthood but however, at least I had learned my lesson to be grateful what you have.
2022: it’s going good so far. I finally got in-person classes in college and I also became a team member of my workplace and I have been getting a lot of money than usual last year. I also finally to started to hang with friends after taking a longer break from hanging outside. It’s going good so far and let’s see how this year will end for me
The entirety of the mid 2000s or "teen thousands" were treasure to be honest! Despite of the hardships me and my folks endured, the nostalgia of both junior and senior high days were unforgettable. I miss the music, the atmosphere, the cartoons and documentaries i used to watch, the trends (that i wasn't into). We used to gather in my grandfather's house during Fridays and Sunday morning for a church sermon. It was lovely💗 it felt the last echoes of the early 2000s.
And it was all lost in 2020. Everything changed for the worst.

Well, a year after in 2017 sucked for me ultra-hard. I was finishing 7th grade at the time I started to hate easter after my failed family road trip to my sister's house, summer was bad, and started 8th grade. 😢😢

My summer in 2012 was absolutely shit. I was expecting something fun to happen, but nothing.
2007-2015: barely remember anything
2016: amazing year, pokemon go was released which i still play today, and a lot of fun times at school :)
2017: first time i ever went to a country outside of Canada (Japan). It was fun, but also pretty forgettable for me.
2018: best year of my life so far. definitely the year i was closest with my friends and we did a lot of stuff together.
2019: almost as good as 2018 but it was the last year at my good school :( (a lot of good things happened this year as well tho)
2020: looking back at it, not as bad as what came next. yeah the pandemic was in full swing, but i made a LOT of new friends in a server i discovered. got a LOT worse in december though.
2021: worst year of my life yet. while it started getting better near the end, this year was the first time i experience burnout, AND got depressed. fun times :)))))))))))))))))))))))
2022: eh. it's okay so far. could be a lot better, but compared to 2020 and 2021, it's definitely better than both. getting into going for walks and stuff now so its cool
2016 was a great year for me. But I was only 11 years old.
But 2017 sucked but I loved 2018 and 2019. And honestly I loved the first half of 2020 but then along came the pandemic

I agree with you about 2018 and 2019 and 2015, similar things kind of happened to me. 2019 was horrible for me, as I started to have emotional damage and grades lowering in the first half, then from October onwards my physical conditions worsened, on November my right knee had swollen so much that I could not move it much, and if I did it hurt like hell.
As an introvert lock down was heaven in 2020

2015: Amazing year. I graduated from elementary school and entered 6th grade which would end up being one of my favorite school years. We went to Disney World with some friends in March of that year for my brother’s birthday as well. I also received my first phone this year, so that’s something. Additionally, I remember the day I graduated from elementary school, after the ceremony, my brother, mom and I met up with our dad to eat somewhere, and he told me that he thought I would be interested in coding/computer programming, something I didn’t really know about until then. After that, I had gained an interested in it and now hope to major in computer science. :)
2016: Not outstanding, but still good. This was the year where I really began getting into music, especially electronic acts such as Daft Punk and Justice (they were the first bands that I listened to regularly, and I still enjoy them quite a bit)
2017: Okay, but did have some highlights. I went on a road trip to Georgia with some family, and that was pretty nice. My state was hit by a hurricane this year and we did lose power for a few days. However, this was also the year I started to get interested in music production and making videos and other little projects on my computer, something that, in my opinion, has taken me pretty far.
2018: First half was fine, but second half was pretty great! Went to South Carolina and St. Augustine that year on a road trip, I graduated middle school, and began high school, my first year of which was a pretty interesting experience.
2019: Favorite year of my life so far. Went to North Carolina in the early part of the year and saw snow for the first time, went to New York during the summer (this has remained my favorite road trip of the ones I’ve been on). Music production became one of my favorite hobbies, and my CZcams channel started to gain some traction. I also feel like this is the first year where I felt as if I grew significantly as a person, coming out of it more experienced and more mature on many fronts.
2020: *NO.*
2021: An improvement from 2021, I got into a lot more music during this time, and I feel like this year was one of my more prolific ones, in terms of music, videos, etc. Wasn’t as great as the other ones, but still decent.
2022: Absolutely awful year. I’ve dealt with anxiety over a lot of things (although I’ve been prone to it for a few years now), I’ve barely gotten anything done creatively, we’ve had a couple of family issues/emergencies as well. I even got covid AND the flu at the same time (the first time I’ve ever had EITHER, and it’s when I get both of them at once) in September, which admittedly wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be, but I still have been getting concerned over a myriad of things, no matter how important or trivial. started my first semester of college online but haven’t really been doing the greatest, and at times I feel like I haven’t really progressed much in recent months.
I’m hoping 2023 is better, and I do have a feeling that it might be a great year. :)
2018 was the last carefree year for me, it had the best Samsung phone ever released, also I managed to play FNaF VR and got a new phone for my Birthday. It's nothing special, but it's an ending of an era, 2019 was good, but after 2020 everything went downhill.

It's strange that I enjoyed 2020 because I didn't have school for 8 straight months I really don't like school I was just having fun in my pc everyday and my hair was so large when I remove the headphones it looks like someone removed a portion of it.
