I'm reading a lot of the comments and I must ask: HOW can you view ANY of this platonically? Angst like this does not exist in a friendship. Even the closest of friendships don't have this angst, repression, avoidance, tension. This genuinely makes me cry every time I watch it. Like, I'm not even exaggerating. This is so fantastic. God, it really shows the underlying sadness of the show. I noticed that the show uses jokes a lot to cover up something more emotional that is actually going on and you really managed to expose it so that everyone can see, because many people do think that the show is very funny, when in reality it is quite sad.
This is the most beautiful Sherlock video I have ever seen. It's the show stripped naked and everything from between the lines laid bare in this 3.30 minutes long clip that made me cry like a baby. I love how it uses minimal enhancement, audio or video wise because there is no need. The relationship between those two is already powerful enough on its own. I wish I could show this to anyone who says "It's just a detective show stop making it into a love story" because they are wrong. It already is a love story, the most beautiful one.
I rather thought that, like throughout most of the episode, he kept his true thoughts to himself--just as he didn't tell John he was really going to his death--purely to protect John and try to make things easier for him. He chose to keep the burden, rather than share it... after the most recent announcement, and the way it's worded I'm really wondering if we are actually going to get Johnlock in Series 4. Beautiful video :D There is something so elegant and breathtaking about their love for each other isn't there? It's more than just love borne out of being with each other for so long... It's far more powerful because when we meet them they don't seem to really live but just exist. And everything changes the first moment they meet each other; they save each other. To the point where you cannot imagine the one without the other. I don't care what anybody else says about Johnlock not being canon. Those looks alone (especially Sherlock at 2:47 and John at 1:47 ) they say so much about how they love each other in their own special way. Each look, each smile, each word between those two feels like a declaration of a love so incredibly deep that doesn't need to be mentioned. It's just obvious. If you observed it once, then you'll start seeing it everywhere....I just had to say that (once again, lovely video and i adore the music. fits right in with the theme of longing and melancholy and love)

I have to admit, I never was into shipping and over-analyzing Characters of a Tv-show/Book/Film...until I watched Sherlock. Beautiful and incredibly moving. I love how unadorned and pure this is. As others have said, this is actually the show, the foundation; your editing couldn't be more true to what is already there (and how stunning is it, my god). I agree with another poster that I now wonder if John said much more to Sherlock at his grave and we simply weren't privy to it. The "I heard you" scene was powerful the first time I saw the episode, but it really resonates here.
I love this. The best one I've seen yet. Totally inline with each episode, nothing edited to look like something it's not. I didn't notice before how they don't really shake hands on the tarmac. John is startled that Sherlock is only offering him a handshake and then they just literally hold hands. And then they part. John is obviously devastated. As Sherlock walks to the plane, Mycroft is watching him and Mary is watching John. And oh, god, that scene in Belgravia when John realizes Sherlock overheard his conversation with Irene. His expression! Freeman is SO talented. John looks totally emotionally exposed, realizing Sherlock now knows how he feels about him and like any romance, he wants to run after Sherlock.
These videos are absolutely marvellous. I can't even fathom how carefully crafted you have created them and just how much you are able to highlight just how much emotion there really is in this show. I fall in love with their expressions and how they speak with such an eloquence that dialogue never could achieve. I was wondering what program you use? Your editing skills are divine.
There is so much of this show in what is not written, and you captured that so brilliantly. I've learned a lot about subtext since falling in love with this show. I have watched countless other videos of this nature, but this one....this one is the one. The one that gets me every time. This video perfectly and so beautifully captures the nature of Sherlock and John's relationship, two men unable to say the words that mean the most. I love it and of all the other videos I've watched, this is my favorite and I always come back to it.

You perfectly captured the WORLD of unspoken words between them, and why I love so much their relationship (be it platonic or otherwise).

This is my favorite Johnlock video. Is genuine and I cried so much. Sherlock LOVES John. He fall'n love for John! And John living in denial, but he loves Sherlock. We can see. They never said "I love you" but every moment, you can see...Johnlock eyes and actions are screaming I LOVE YOU.

Beautiful video :D There is something so elegant and breathtaking about their love for each other isn't there? It's more than just love borne out of being with each other for so long... It's far more powerful because when we meet them they don't seem to really live but just exist. And everything changes the first moment they meet each other; they save each other. To the point where you cannot imagine the one without the other. I don't care what anybody else says about Johnlock not being canon. Those looks alone (especially Sherlock at 2:47 and John at 1:47 ) they say so much about how they love each other in their own special way. Each look, each smile, each word between those two feels like a declaration of a love so incredibly deep that doesn't need to be mentioned. It's just obvious. If you observed it once, then you'll start seeing it everywhere....I just had to say that

I have to admit, I never was into shipping and over-analyzing Characters of a Tv-show/Book/Film...until I watched Sherlock. Sherlock and John would make a perfect couple and they truly are in love with each other. I mean you couldn't make it any more obvious! And every single human being, who refuses to see and accept that fact, has to see this great work of yours.
Finally I have to say, that I never cried, watching a Johnlock video ('course I was touched, but that's all) and then I found yours.

As others have said, this is actually the show, the foundation; your editing couldn't be more true to what is already there (and how stunning is it, my god). I agree with another poster that I now wonder if John said much more to Sherlock at his grave and we simply weren't privy to it. The "I heard you" scene was powerful the first time I saw the episode, but it really resonates here.

I love this. The best one I've seen yet. Totally inline with each episode, nothing edited to look like something it's not. I didn't notice before how they don't really shake hands on the tarmac. John is startled that Sherlock is only offering him a handshake and then they just literally hold hands. And then they part. John is obviously devastated. As Sherlock walks to the plane, Mycroft is watching him and Mary is watching John. And oh, god, that scene in Belgravia when John realizes Sherlock overheard his conversation with Irene. His expression! Freeman is SO talented. John looks totally emotionally exposed, realizing Sherlock now knows how he feels about him and like any romance, he wants to run after Sherlock.

I have watched countless other videos of this nature, but this one....this one is the one. The one that gets me every time. This video perfectly and so beautifully captures the nature of Sherlock and John's relationship, two men unable to say the words that mean the most. I love it and of all the other videos I've watched, this is my favorite and I always come back to it.
This is so perfect, I am beyond words. That ending though. They don't know how to be more to eachother so they just hope perhaps the other will name their child after them.

+Zoe Skye Actually Sherlock already said it to John in his best man's speech but quite indirectly. He said he and Mary are the two people who love John the most in the world. In other words he just said out loud for the first time that he loves John. Although it was so ambiguous that people can still read it as friendship and platonic. But it still makes me happy to know that Sherlock has come to terms with it for himself. It's such a huge development since season 1!
The conclusion is poignant, incredibly frustrating and achingly beautiful, all in one. Only them.
