Sonic's always been characterized as someone who never gives up no matter what. Kind of amusing how that mentality has applied to the franchise irl for several years now. Usually one bad game can kill a mascot. He's been through two of the most critically panned games of all time and yet is still too stubborn to die. Good to see persistence is starting to pay off again. Hopefully Sega can keep the momentum going this time.

Cus, at least with those two games, you could break them in almost any way you wanted and you could have quite a bit of fun with it and the stories were at least somewhat interesting... then comes along Forces; bland story, boring gameplay and the game is so on-rails to the point where there is almost no room for glitches that could make it fun. Frontiers is like a breath of fresh air when compared to the last few games (excluding Mania, of course), Good story in my opinion, the characters are actually likable again, the gameplay is pretty fun and there are almost no glitches from what I've seen... not to mention the music; previous Sonic games, no matter how bad they've been, have always had at least one or two memorable tracks in them... but ever since completing Frontiers, the boss tracks have been stuck in my head on a loop for a while... now, let's just hope that Sonic Team doesn't screw it up when it comes to the next game! Also, sorry for the long rant, this just seemed like the best place to get it all out.

Sonic Frontiers is the type of game I would have dreamt of when I was in middle school. A fun Sonic game that has over the top boss fights that look like the final battle of an anime, set to music that would spawn thousands of AMVs if it was in the late 2000’s. I was so happy to be a Sonic fan this year.
