No. They simply took the stairs when the lift malfunctioned. After all X and Zero are fine in Command Mission.
This game surprisingly had good voice acting in the game.
Fr, only problem with the voice acting imo was Gigavolt Man O' War's level, the damn bastard didn't shut the hell up, it's like, as annoying as the X7 bosses

The worst part of X8 is that 15 year old unresolved cliffhanger.

Sigma turned evil because of the Maverick Virus. That caused Sigma to go berserk and lose control of himself after being overwhelmed with power with each defeat fueling the evil inside him until Megaman X8. I like how they made Sigma a demon in Mega Man X8 showing his malevolent personality he had to begin with.
Timmy Menard poor sigma. He used to be a great maverick hunter. But the virus corupt him, that's why he's gone maverick.
This whole mess was all because of the malice of one Albert Wily.

Lumine is literally Sigma, Lumine was a bit cryptic but outright says that all new generaton reploids by default has Sigma's DNA and therefore is part Sigma.

No, he's saying that new gen reploids can willingly think and act like a Maverick without being corrupted by the Sigma or Zero Virus. I think its because they posess the data of all old reploids including the ones that went Maverick like Sigma.

Being called maverick always is related with a Reploid which breaks robotic rules made by humans, but this cases was related by a programming flaw, but for Sigma and new generation Reploids their case are at will

Believe me, this scene is best when one of the characters gets stuck in the Vava / Vile fight, so when Sigma says, "It's all over!" There is a dialogue with Sigma telling X / Z / Axl: "wallowing in despair and despair," the other character who got stuck with Vava comes in and takes you out of Sigma's hands, that's cool.

Surf Surfing there was going to be a Megaman MMO, but was cancelled. It was closer to MMX however, as the only MM class you could use was based on Duo, the others where based on X, Zero, and Cinnamon, plus most seen bosses, while based on Megaman, where updated to look closer to MMX
since sigma knew that he had finally died for good, he didn't tell his enemies that he would return again and just got frustrated that he had always failed.

I swear, that sigma battle is one of the the epic battle I've ever seen, plus it makes it even more epic with that music.

This is why I could never beat a Mega Man X game. The bosses always have like 20 final forms and I'm always close to death after the first 2 forms.
+Apples and Oranges It is all about the rhythm and keeping an attack pattern. Notice how he does not let up even when his attacks are doing no damage. He is doing it on purpose to make the computer follow a specific pattern (which works better in old X games admittedly) but in this case it allows him to be there at the point when he finally is vulnerable.

I love Lumine's voice.
I thought that X8 ended in such a way that the series needed to continue, but this is a point that doesn't leave any major points undone (Like Classic 10). Though Classic 11 and X9 would be appreciated, the only loose end that I know of in the Megaman Multiverse is for the end of Legends 2 and the missing Legends 3.
But if Bomber-Man can escape the pits of the dormant game franchises; than I haven't lost hope for Megaman just yet.

Mega Man X2: Epic final battle with the return of Zero and a beautiful, hopeful ending that didn't need anymore sequels and could have wrapped up the entire series by itself.

Pretty interesting how the final boss isn't Sigma for once. I won't comment on the excuses they use for having that be the case, I will let you make of that what you will. It's just pretty wild how Sigma reminds me of Dracula in this game. Seriously, before you make it to his throne room, you literally climb an epic set of stairs. And then Lumine himself comes in, drops his little twist, and bombards you with EX attacks! He has control of all the main Mavericks' best powers at once. And then he becomes an angel robot! So, this became Baynoetta, all of a sudden, then?

Lumine's final form somewhat reminds me of Nu Gundam, Strike Freedom Gundam and Gundam Double X but merged together......
In all my years of loving this game I've never seen that text in the end about the copy chips and Dr. Light's message. X8 was a beautiful follow up to X7 and a beautiful game in of itself.
Fight boss with icarus armor. Recomended charge shot 2/3 to attack more effective. Don't use maximum charge to fight boss with icarus armor. But for the other enemy like army maverick, you can use icarus maximum charge shot.

Lumine's final attack is bs. I feel like it's impossible without using X's Icarus blaster along with a final double attack as soon as Lumine's shields are down. I've tried using Zero's Z-Saber to cut down the shield and it just doesn't work. ;-;

The best X series final boss if you ask me. Great music, great gameplay, a fair challenge, and THE FINAL BOSS ISN'T SIGMA!

The fight with Lumine was perfect, however I think it should have been used to serve as Sigmas final defeat. Oh well, maybe they will get it right if they by some miracle make Mega Man X9.

I felt like there isnt any virus going on in entire series until X5 , that's the true virus infections going on there but unfortunately other reploid cannot handled it well like Sigma do. So, i suggest Sigma's intention from the first were same as the virus does and it goes along very well. No wonder.

Is there any reason X, Zero, and Vile all sound like they do in Maverick Hunter X in X8, yet Sigma sounds much different in Maverick Hunter X compared to here?
Richard Dong That's what I'm wondering. As far as I know, it's the same voice actor, but it's never explained why Sigma's voice is higher and scratchier now as opposed to his deep, low voice from before.
Are we sure it's the same VA? If it is, then the only reason I can think of is Maverick Hunter X is when Sigma had just gone Maverick, and so he wasn't nearly as insane as he became much later in the series, hence why he would probably sound different. Or something like this anyway.
It was two different actors. X8 came out first around the time Command Mission did, where they had moved from the X7 cast to our new beloved ones. The new dub company was Blue Water Studios and the role of Sigma in X8 went to Dave Pettitt, voice of Epsilon from Command Mission, and all the supporting Dragon Ball characters like Turtle and Popo.
When it came time to dub Maverick Hunter X, it seems that they deemed Gerald Matthews to be a better fit for Sigma's less gruff and tumble design (Classic Sigma). Gerald had worked alongside Pettitt on Command Mission as well, voicing Wild Jango and Depth Dragoon, and his more regal voice was chosen as a better fit for Sigma's original unbroken and sleeker design.
As of today, this group no longer voices our X series. Lucas Gilbertson (Best Zero voice ever X8 era) is now replaced by Johnny Yong Bosch (who is wonderful MvC3 era) and Mark Gatha (Best X voice ever X8 era) has officially retired from Voice Acting to move onto a medical field if I'm not mistaken. X is now voiced by Ted Stroka (MvCI era) who quite frankly does a rather poor job. Perhaps it is just weird to now have Dan Hibiki voicing X... Anywho, hope this helps!
