Can the NEW Furla CEO bring back this label?

- Furla created some icon bags in the 90ties and then became mainstream. With the hire of the new CEO Mauro Sabatini can the brand come back with classic original designs?
I was super impressed with the mini tote in the giada color at a price of $350. Find out if the bag will be added to my collection or will I return it back to the factory to live with Furla’s other bags that super miss the mark.
Let’s discuss if Furla can come back from the 90ties and hire a designer to take them to the next luxury handbag level.
I totally agree. I love Furla but they are all over the place and need to narrow it down, have more continuity and not change their designs/follow trends so much.
Very good points! I’m on a budget so I can’t afford Chanel and Dior and have outgrown Kate Spade and Michael Kors so I was looking at Furla because I like how subtle their logos are (compared to most brands, it seems like all logos are least 3xs bigger than they used to be). I agree with you that Furla is throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks instead of taking the time to create their own line of iconic bags. Ironically the only bags I liked were their 1927 which is their “classic” line. Fingers crossed Furla makes it!

Actually, all the brands copied their best seller Furla Metropolis, so l dont get the point. They dont produce super expensive bags, so they can produce a lot of products.
My first Furla bag got delivered today and I’m in love with it. I got the Metropolis handbag in the color miele. The color reminded me of the coveted Chanel 21P caramel. I am in love and love the bag you chose. I agree the arch looks sophisticated.

I totally agree. They should get a designer and develop their own style more. That said, Furla produces the best value for money bags out there and are one of the very few brands that still produce solely in Italy. Here in Europe, a lot of girls and young women buy Furla. They often can not yet (or don't want to) afford a big name, but still want a classy quality bag and not a chinese replica. Living in the city the preferred means to get from A to B is a bike, scooter or public transport - that's why the adjustable long strap and the small back pocket to slide in the metro pass is definitely a selling point over here.
Furla is also that kind of brand to cool down your outfit. You can throw the basic furla 1927 crossbody over a Dolce dress or Versace Seastar shirt and it will actually look better (= less tacky) than any other brand at 1/5 of the price of the YSL sunset.
I love your view point! The back pocket is perfect for the Metro pass😉 I have always loved Furla and I guess I just want them to stand on there own because the quality is insane good, like we mentioned. Thanks again for such a thoughtful comment 💛

So true. I agree with most of what you said. Furla is a brand I’ve heard a lot about living so close to Italy, but never actually had anything from the brand.
Totally don't agree with many points you mentioned especially the dior book tote ... the furla version is much better and many brands does this even the biggest brand names LV, Dior and Chanel did it before so its a common practice in the fashion industry
I have five bags, three long wallets and two sunglasses in a furla bags . Especially the bag you introduced is the bag I most recently owned ㆍ wow wow very gorgeous bag

The bag has a huge dent on the left side? Bothered me through The whole video! 🤣
🤣I kept it real on the “unpack” damaged box, curled handle and dent in bag. Furla needs to up game the whole experience☺️
The packaging is now different, its a patterned box and has a magnetic closure, no more plastic bag but still has that tacky thing that keeps the strap and bag together. Overall the whole packaging still needs little tweaks, and some designs do look similar to dior, and chloe. The only things i liked about the top handle is it had a smaller size (what you have) and looked quite sophisticated and chic. I’m not obsessed with the brand, but it is different from michael kors and kate spade. Thanks for your review, i don’t see a lot about it.

They never keep one design in their line for long, which is also an issue if you try to establish an icon. The Metropolis is the only model that sticks since a few years. They used to have these Candy bags in a bowling cut like the LV Speedy, disappeared at one point too.

I just picked up my first furla bag! It’s the miss Mimi in a khaki color and I’m really loving the quality and look. Wish it had a few more “furla” details but it’s so cute. Reminds me of some Chloe bags like the Drew but more casual!

Thank you for an honest review. It's hard to find anything on this brand nowadays but on forums online, I hear nothing but praises for the quality despite the price point. I've been looking for an everyday bag and I am eyeing the Furla 1927 top handle. I think it looks very classic yet chic and I love to hear that it's made in Italy. The hype around contemporary brands is just not my thing and I don't feel will age well. I tried looking at Polene but their bags don't seem very functional and I have heard of quality control issues. Plus they are ugly as sin in my opinion (that bull nose ring bag and that dented face bag lol). Even some brands around the $1,000 price point I hear have quality issues such as Aspinal of London. Never heard anything bad about Furla's leather or hardware. I think I'll have to snag a bag from them and see for myself. My main concern is the clasp breaking.

Burberry is stepping up and I am even seeing Longchamp again, but Furla…crickets in the US🤷♀️
It is beautiful! Next week I will be recieving mine. Is it confortable to wear? I was hopping to use it as an everyday bag. I feel like that green will be easy to wear with almost everything

I recently bought the opportunity tote in the S size , and this one is actually better than the Dior book tote ,, for starters the handle is leather , it comes with a detachable strap, which by the way is very comfy as it is wide, although not adjustable but I find it to be right length for me , maybe someone taller might struggle with it , it has an inside zip pocket and two other slip pockets, it is hand made as and made very well, although I agree the packaging could be improved, the gigantic cardboard box it arrived in ripped! So thin the cardboard , was worried the bag was damaged, also the dust bag could be of better quality , just too thin and cheap feel to it , but overall I love the bag it is so well made , the embroidery on it is so intricate and beautiful and it is also very understated which I love, I don't like big in your face logos , like you're carrying a big advertisement 🙄I love the bag you bought , maybe next time !
