I have read that Kevin was obsessed with a model he saw in a magazine. He was in love with her picture. She was in a fashion magazine modeling a vest that was "space dye" color. That's where the words "dressed as a stranger," and "as long as she stays on the page" come from.
How can his melodies and lyrics be so good? He was a big part of my favorite DT stuff.

We have some master-class material via OSI for sure. I prefer Kevin Moore with Fates Warning and OSI - With Fates Warning his contributions always felt 100% appropriate to elevate the song and not be attempting to take away from the song. Disconnected is my favorite Fates Warning album and Kevin Moore's synth licks like in "So Tired" is just absolute FIRE; I understand why he'd want to leave dream theater when an 8 note bad-ass riff literally MAKES the tune (elevates it and adds so much) compared to playing every note in various scales and progressions.

Kevin did more memorable composing in three albums than Jordan has in 7. "Far From Heaven" is Jordan's best attempt. It is really good, as is his playing ability. If Rudess had done such a bang up job in making dream theater better than Kevin or even as good as it was before. We wouldn't be having this conversation because I would believe Jordan is better. Kevin's dreams went on and on, and you lived them. He didn't have to give his songs generic titles. They were specific and true art.

I honestly, just can't say there is a single album other than SFAM from Jordan, that adds to the Kevin catalogue. It almost feels like it was done to make the fans forget the older albums. There is a huge disparaty between the 'new' sound, and the old DT. So big they almost lost me as a fan completely.

and so did numerous others which 99% of the ppl in here never heard about, including you. If you was into classical stuff you wouldn't be here making that statement.

Dude, I think you're not giving Jordan his due on the composition aspect. Have you ever heard any of his solo stuff or his album with Petrucci? Emotions are inherent to any person, so your argument that working side projects and guest appearances or playing fast are detrimental to emotion you're very much mistaken, specially when you talk about music, when composed by talented musicians such as Kevin Moore or Jordan Rudess.
