- I will be honest with you; Thai food is not my favourite food. Many Thai-based CZcamsrs will spend hours and hours telling you about how great Thai food is and the best street food that you can buy or the best Thai restaurants to visit, they love to show you how tough they are because they can eat chilli dishes that would melt steel. As a retired chef I find Thai food mostly overrated…I just think that most meals are saturated in chilli and you can’t taste the unique flavours that make up the dishes like lemon grass, basil, ginger and the many other herbs and spices that go into making a great Thai meal. I suffer from reflux and I can’t eat food that is too spicy, even when I ask for my Thai meal to be Mai-Ped (not spicey) I usually find that the Thai chefs can’t help themselves and have to add heaps of chilli…it’s a Thai thing.
What I really miss about living in the UK is some of the food that I grew up with like bangers and mash, and cottage pie but most of all I miss the weekly “Sunday Roast”. In today’s video, I will take you to seven restaurants in Hua Hin that serve the best traditional “Sunday Roast”

Pub, it was nice meeting you and your girlfriend in Le Pub, I have had Sunday roast a few times in Le Pub and its always very good.

Hi John thanks. Everything is ok I went back to the hospital yesterday for an x-ray and unfortunately the bones have not healed well so it will be a while yet. The price we pay for getting old I suppose. It was great meeting up with you both. Enjoy the rest of your time in Thailand.
