    Lovely playing and Daniel Roth is always so humble and obliging and welcoming and happy to act as registrant. It’s a treat to hear Bach on this organ too.

    Funny because I already had the chance to talk with Mr. Deutsch when I was ten or so. I told him that I really enjoyed the concert he gave and that I want to play the organ myself and now I actually do. He is a great guy!

    A wonderful concert with an absolute highlight: Prof. Deutsch playing his own transcription of "Les Preludes" by Liszt! It is fantastic! Thanks to the registrants Pierre-Francois Dub-Attenti , Daniel Roth and another gentleman. They did a fantastic job,too!

    Vielen Dank Herr Deutsch ! Comment ne pas vibrer avec vous pendant cette époustouflante interprétation du prélude 10, Op. 66 de C.-V. Alkan. Vous êtes le meilleur interprète de cette œuvre très peu jouée (car difficile !) de ce compositeur malheureusement trop méconnu. Et Alkan ne demande que le grand Cavaillé-Coll de Saint-Sulpice.... Merci M. Deutsch pour cette fabuleuse interprétation dont je ne retrouve pas l'équivalent sur CD.... malheureusement. Bravo et mille merci à AROSS pour la mise en ligne de concerts aussi fabuleux !

    Merci d'avoir mis à votre programme plutôt germanique ces français tels Charles-Valentin Alkan, peu connu et reconnu, pianiste dans la grande tradition de F. Chopin et F. Liszt, et l'immense ChM Widor . Enfin, après ces monuments que sont JS Bachet WA Mozart, le très grand F Liszt : toutes ces filiations musicales se retrouvent ici, merci.

    Thank you so much for sharing and making this available to a greater public who cannot just drop by in Paris every other week! I have one question, though: Is it not usual for the audience to applaude after a piece is finished? Is there some sort of custom different to "usual" concerts?

    • @michaelpatoschka293
      @michaelpatoschka293 Před 4 lety

      When the concert is extraordinary, there will be applause. We have this in Germany in the Duisburg Salvator Church where there will rise spontaneous applause after a well played piece by the organist, e.g.. pieces of Bach and Buxtehude and so on.

    Just a minor point about this tremendous instrument. One would think after all this time a better music rack system could be installed. It doesn't appear large (wide) enough for the oversized organ scores and seems to obscure the top (5th) manual. I kept worrying the score would fall off in the middle of a performance.
