VHR I wanted to reposition my locs. I’ve been playing around with my locs for years trying not to get bored with them. I’ve cut half of the back off to get custom designs, colored my locs and everything. So basically got bored and did way too much with them to the point I had to cut them only to basically reset of that makes sense.

I am getting ready to do this process same like your client my hair my locs are 9 years old as well so I'm getting ready to part my hair put my parts in and let my locs air-dry and then the next day or later on the same day start reattaching them back on. So this video was very informative and very detailed with step by step directions so thank you for sharing and attaching this loc brother locs back for him.

I reattached my locs a few years ago then I cut them a few days ago. Needless to say, I will be reattaching them soon. Never throw your locs away.
I did starter locs in preparation for a reattaching. Doesn’t that make a difference? Awesome video! I don’t feel as self conscious about it now.

I think it’s better to comb out the end of the loc and braid it at the root . That’s how I did mine and my loc were in there strong and the braided part turned fuzzy after a wash and now they are matted and I can’t tell where I reattached to .

im 8 years in and i never liked the pattern on top of my head. i have rectangles, squares, triangles. very inconsistent

My hair has been driving me crazy. For weeks I haven't known what to do with it. After giving up, trying on my on I went to a stylist. Worst experience ever and all I requested was a ponytail. Lol. I sported locks for 3 years and combed out because the lock, part ratio was awful. I've wanted to start again, even tho I've been told they make me look masculine when they're short, but I can't help how long it take the locks to get long. But I think this might be a solution for me. Hopefully in time I get that long pretty look. I'm going to do this after my hair grows out some more. Thank you so much for sharing!

I would you dry dreadlocks after wash day without retwisting? I usually half air dry then blow dry but now I'm worried about the heat damaging my hair. I've been have thinning and breakage and I feel like my hair is just getting healthy again and I don't want to cause anything that would be counterproductive. productive

hello i stumbled across your video and have a couple questions. how long did your client cut his hair and then wait to reattach his locs. because i cut mine and its been a month now im considering reattaching dreads i had previously cut. am i suppose to shampoo the cut locks?!

DXYLNLOCS your tutorial is awesome. I’m a beautician by trade In currently inactive. But I do my sons loc’s. Others have been during them when I moved away now that I’ve been back I’ve begin redoing his hair. I did see one video showing how to wash his hair because they did it with the black gel and beeswax and they was hard to touch didn’t look nothing like your customer on here. I’ve only seen stylists with needle and thread to mend his thinning locs but it think his hair out from the heaviness. I know I’m writing a lot but I’m just so fascinated that I’ve finally found someone who really shares their work in a way that is understandable. I have questions where can I go to speak to you personally and where are you located because I want locs myself but I’m unable to do my own hair anymore due to me having a stroke I can’t hold my hands over my head like I use too. I see you are very passionate about your work and your video shows the compassion. Please if you can share your website that I can go on

I always do it myself it was really really short and it started growing really fast like shoulder length but last month I had someone interlock for me ,,, I wash my hair and I realize all the roots in the middle is short short and look straight like it’s perm the only where it’s not happening it’s front and the back
