    From what I have heard on some mazda employee interviews there will be 6, 7, and 8 seat configurations. I'm very excited for this vehicle!!!!

      Thank you, a 7 or 8 passenger version would be great!

    Mazda is the Japanese BMW with this new platform. As the driver of an older X6 with the straight 6 and 8 speed transmission I am thrilled to see the CX-90 is carrying on this ideal combination. I also like the styling of the Mazda as I feel BMW has lost its way with the over-sized grille and odd angular over styled body. I am looking forward to seeing the CX-70 as the 90 is larger than I need.

      The CX-70 will have better proportions than the CX-90 as well. I look forward to testing both models this year and both drivetrains as well.

    Friends bought a Mazda 6 about 18mths ago and I said then that it had a very BMW like feel to it. The interior finishes are exquisite and ride is beautiful (apart from the lane departure warning when actually departing the lane).

      I hope Mazda brings back the 6! Only this time as rwd.

    So it’s 100% to the rear except when needed? That’s great!

    Do you know if the Skyactiv X engine will ever arrive in North America?

      If and when we get one is a mystery, however if I had to guess on which car it would start with, I would say the next gen Miata (NE).

    The new Pilot that you keep referring to, still comes with the timing belt that needs replacement every 100,000 miles.

    Video title is wrong. It's AWD

    • @CruiseControl1
      @CruiseControl1  Před rokem +4

      Again rwd drive platform that has AWD. Power is sent to the rear wheels until the front needs it and then it's AWD. This is why the engine layout has changed from the cx9 being fwd based sending power to the rear when it slips to now it's rwd until the front slips

    still copycat elements from
    bmw. the mazda badge holds no prestige still

      I care about prestige as much as I care about the color of a mountain. Mazda is the first rwd platform with an in-line 6 in a modern suv from a Japanese car maker. That will undercut the price of the German company’s and probably have better reliability to go along with it. I will hold judgement until I drive it and long term reliability will take years to find out. However I like that Mazda is taking a big swing here.
      Plus modern BMW’s have lost their way and looks.
