Hi Kevin, do you know how to copy a form in the updated version of MS Forms? For some reason, MS removed the option to copy a form. It was there last month, now it's not anymore.
I was a college professor at Fullerton College, CA for years and had to write my own testing programs that integrated with Excel or other office items. These forms are GREAT! No need to write a new program for everything I want to do. I taught computer programming. Nice video. I will subscribe to your channel.
Hi Kevin, thanks for your very clear and concise information. Might it be possible to do a follow-up video on how to link the forms back to a table within Excel? And can that table be linked, perhaps with relationships, to another workbook where the data is used?
Thanks, Kevin! I understand that we can export responses to pivot tables to analyze the data from the survey. But please ask the MS team to add charts and graphs to the response tab for analytics, trends, similar to Survey Monkey.
Kevin, This video is video 30 or so that i have used immediately after watching with success! You and your team rock for making all this value free, for me.
FORMS has been great for virtual learning, but it would be even better with a way to group previously used Forms into folders to organize. I have such a long list of them and its overwhelming to look through. Also, it would be helpful to have a simple way to clear out old responses if you're wanting to reuse a form at a later date or with a different group of students.
Just copy the form & give it a new title to match cohort in a particular Term & year. Then, you can really see responses or trends via cohorts within a Term & year!
Appreciate your videos and teaching style. Have you done a video that talks more about using the results in the excel spreadsheet as they are captured by form responses. For example - can macros be added to the spreadsheet or reports created from that data?
Thanks for the video, I've watched almost all of your playlist on Teams as my job is transitioning to the platform. I'd love a more in-depth run through creating a test/quiz, especially: 1. If you shuffle the questions, does that impact the excel report or does that report always come out in the order in which the quiz was generated? I assume so, because otherwise the excel report would be very messy, but I'm curious (and looking to automate grading for simple mass quizzes :P ) 2. The "text" option for correct answers is a bit unclear, as in how close does the program accept the correct answer, like "8.0001" is counted correct if I put in "8"? I assume not, so that's a pain for calculation-based questions. Agreeing on a sig-fig count up front is a good workaround. 3. How does the "math" feature work exactly? I've been ignoring it but that may help with #2 above. 4. How can I control access and time to the form, say I teach the same class on two different weeks, how is the form protected/accessed and how easy is the excel report to parse for each class? Keep up the great work, I'm learning a lot and helping my team (ha!) at work a lot with your videos.
Hi Kevin, happen to see you tutorial on MS forms. Would like to understand two points, viz. 1. in The customer survey, if we are capturing Country code and Mobile number, how can I make customer to select without scrolling down? 2. Similarly, when nationality is to be selected without scrolling down.
Thank You Kevin! The video was perfect. is it possible to customize the forms for each client or recipient? For example, they entre they personal code and receive their own question which may be different to others?
Hi Kevin - same as Jo-Anne. When I opened Forms, the only two boxes I had were New Form and New Quiz. There were no templates listed. How can we download those templates?
Great overview. Can you tell me how to add more photos to my heading and how to add tabs the customer would click on? If I ask the customer which system they use and when they click on it, it will produce a text box for the customer to fill in about their selection.
Thank you for your informative videos on using Microsoft Forms! I have a specific question regarding Microsoft Forms: I need to create a demographic profile for a group of 15-20 people. Instead of having these individuals fill out the form themselves, I want to enter the information myself for each person. Is it possible to set up a Microsoft Form where I, as the form creator, can input and store the demographic data for multiple people? If so, could you guide me on how to do this effectively? Looking forward to your guidance
Excellent video 👍. But Kevin, why don't we have Forms as part of office in the office app on Mobile? Also after creating can you print it in case you would like to hand them out to customers physically instead of mail. Thanks as always.
Good job. I always enjoy your tutorial on Microsoft forms. I am a School teacher and a Microsoft Innovative Educator ExpertI (MIEE 2019-2020). One of my colleagues asked me on how we can upload questions prepared in Ms excel to Ms forms without the need to type questions in MS forms One after the other. Please, is this possible? Kindly assist me.
Hi Kevin, thanks for this video, it was very helpful for a project I have in mind. However, I would like to know one thing, when a response comes back how do I set it the form up so that the respondents come back as the person's name and not autonomous?
hi,kevin!pls make a video on Microsoft Edge. What are advantagesand disadvantages and also tutorial on how to get the most benefits of using MSedge. Thank you somuch! Take care!
Kevin, you all tutorials are very much informative and we'll explain. I am really very impressed. Please make some videos on different hacks and tricks of Microsoft and Google.
Do you know how much time i'll be saving for my training classes???? And so much easier than the other applications that the company has been using! It's easy and fast enough to make morning questions for the topics covered the previous day! Wooo Hooo!
Small question ... for things like audits we have 3 that will have a begin and end date and rotate where each is done every 3rd week. That’s to say week 1 is audit A and 2 is B and 3 is C. With the end date feature, as the owner, are we able to continue to populate data from the audit?
Question, when exporting the results/responses to Excel... 1) why does it show questions that were deleted from the final draft of the form? 2) how do we remove/prevent it from presenting in the spreadsheet if it's not in the final form any more? 3) does this vary on the timing of the draft? Like having already clicked "collect responses" but then going back and editing? 4) if the deleted questions are deleted from the spreadsheet (not hidden), will effect the real-time collection/display/or sequential order of responses? Currently using a form as a liker scale and have the spreadsheet uploaded to Teams for file sharing and is updated once a response it submitted. It's just annoying seeing the previously deleted questions that we felt were not conducive to the information we originally thought we wanted. We could hide those fields, but would prefer it not be there at all.
Hello Kevin and thank you for your support. Please let us know if there's a way to limit the number of times the survey may be accessed by the customer or employee. As of now, the option to "Submit another response" is visible.
You have to tell us "where are you " because is important to know where are you located as a posiotion, so we can make better segmentation in our academic study. Because if you dont tell us where are you, than we can have a logic in questioning survey.* .
A few years ago, I gave online quizzes (no grade) using MS Forms to test student's knowledge before an upcoming exam. So they take the MS Forms quiz and after taking the quiz they receive a score and could then review each online question along with their answer and the correct answer to the question. I had about 40 total questions in the quiz. Then they got ticked off because I didn't use any of the actual questions from the quiz on the exam. I ask them, "Why would I give you the questions and answers to the exam questions on a quiz before the exam? You all are in a health care professional program that will be involved in the treatment of human patients. This isn't kindergarten or grade school." They expected to take the easy way out by not studying, getting the answers to the quiz and then thinking they would do well on the exam......a lot of people ended up failing the exam. Dumbass students. I told them they should have studied and then take taken the quiz for real. MS Forms allows you to log who takes the quiz and how long they spend taking the quiz. So when students came to me and said they studied so hard, I asked them if they took the quiz...most said yes. I would then look up their name in the log and tell them, "You took the 40 question quiz at 10 pm the night before the exam and completed it in just 3 minutes. All you were looking for were the answers to the quiz. That is not studying and that is why you failed." They were shocked I had that information and then were actually upset that I knew they really didn't study and were just attempting to memorize the answers to questions from the quiz that weren't even on the exam.....LOL. Before the exam I had told them that if they really studied and could answer the questions on the quiz, they would likely do well on the exam. Those who did study and took their time on the quiz...or even worked through their notes/my PP slide as they took the quiz actually did well on the exam. Those who actually worked through the quiz after studying or along with their notes told me they really appreciated the quizzes and that they helped them a lot. Thanks, Kevin! I was able to create my own survey after watching your brief tutorial. Great job!
Thank you, really useful AS are all your tutorials!! Just one thing though, I do not seem to have any templates at all - how do we get these??
Thanks, Kevin. Once again, there is far more capability in my office program than I am ever aware of. Nice overview.

Once again, you’re truly the master! Thanks a bunch.
This is perfect Kevin! I cant wait to start trying this.
Your channel is extremely beneficial to me in learning the nuances of easily navigating O365. I appreciate your work.
Thanks Kevin. Your video got me started with a survey and now I am waiting for the results. Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot. I successfully made my first MS-FORMS requests a few minutes after your tutorial.
