- Olympialaiset on vihdoin täällä!
PS. Toiveisiinne on vastattu… Remi on vihdoin saatu videolle vierailevaksi tähdeksi!

Welcome to China!!! Thanks for the great Vlog... I am 100% sure they just tried to warn you at the stairway because of the icy and slippery steps. Aslo feel free to ask for help from the Chinese volunteers, they will give you a warm and friendly hospitality. Good luck to your competition!!!
I agree
@@jonipiirainen8881 se on valhe.
He is an athlete with big muscles and lips, but not enough brain size. He is not friendly to the Chinese people. You can use the subtitle and translation function of CZcams to understand what he is saying

They had to make sure you were safe at the stair, if you fall the team leader of the cleaning crew would question them why they didn't warn you about your safety.
true
you handcap in cerveau
Hahaha As a Chinese this cracked me up. 1:39 in the video, he said that when he opens the door it says "welcome". It actually just says "(the door is) unlocked 已开锁 yi kai suo". But I could imagine that when he goes back to Finland and he will start to tell his friends to say to Chinese tourists who come to Finland "Hello你好, unlocked已开锁"..
😂👌
@@LauriVerkkuDiaries Wow you actually replied. You can say "Hello unlocked" to me when I visit Finland haha.
The mysterious red box contains an anti-smoke mask and probably also a torch and a whistle. Standard device in most hotel rooms.
It’s so fun to watch your vlog! Very detailed and throughly walking us through the whole training and preparing process. It might not be your intention to be funny but I laughed my heads off when you described these rules and facilities we Chinese are so familiar with that we don’t question much. Lovely to hear your opinion and understanding about them, especially the door that was there but didn’t function. Thank you for taking us a tour! Wish you good luck! Safe trip!
The worker was just giving a friendly warning that the stairs were slippery. Unfortunately, there's the language barrier!
Parasta puolentunnin video!! Lisää🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Mahtava video, pistä lisää näitä jos ehdit
Hieno ja mielenkiintoinen video! Isot tsempit kisoihin💪🏼💪🏼
Another comment, 15:35, the painting probably was painted by a kid from Tibet (perhaps he or she is a Tibetan), as the painting shows a scene of “sending Khata (the traditional ceremonial scarf which is believed to show 'welcomeness" and to bring good luck)".
Good luck in Beijing ! Wonderful Vlog!
Very nice video, good luck to you and your team!
Thanks for sharing, everything looks very nice !
Informative video, thanks for sharing!
u guys are so funny! enjoy the game, good luck🙏😊
In the year of 2015, the Beijing Winter Olympic Game was determined to be held on 4th Febuarary of 2022. There are two reasons for this date: 1) it's relatively cold in north China,
the low temperature can keep the field at a good state; 2) it's the Chinese New Year,
that's very lively, bustling, and vibrant, and that's the best opportunity for the athletes to enjoy Chinese culture. The traditional Chinese New Year usually lasts 15 days, from the day of 'Spring Festival' to the day of 'Lantern's Day'. The athletes can go to the urban area to have fun with Chinese people to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Delicacy, handicrafts, folk show..., all funny stuff would be demonstrated in the 15 days!! Very exciting!! Of course, in the year of 2015 nobody can predict Covid-pandemic in 2020.
most thourogh beijing vlog, well done, good luck!
Huippu video taas äijät!
Hienoo matskuu ja tsempit sprinttiin!👍
The facility, you and your teammate found behind the picture on the wall, are power switches to control all of the electrical equipment and electrical outlets in your room. You could try to find which switch controls your TV or your lights. Enjoy it! 😃
The beds seem to be the highlight for every athlete this year! haha. Great vlog.
Mielenkiintoinen video. Oli kiva nähdä kilpailun ulkopuolelle.

Amazing good job 👍Thanks share 💐
Nice review man keep posting your vlog very appreciate for english subs!! Compare to American, Australian, Russian winter olympian youtube vlogs yours is well organized detailed vlog on Beijing olympics nice job man!!
Road to 10k. Kyllähän tämän tason tekijämiehillä kuuluu vähintään ton verran tilaajia olla!
Hahaha, when you did exercises on the stairs, the staff told you too dangerous cuz it will never happen in China, maybe I can say no one will or like to do it when snowing, too slippery, they were worried about you may be slipped and hurt yourself😝😝😝 so I was so confused when I just came to Finland, no matter what kinda weather, can noticed people running outside😝I can sure nothing related to the mask😝😝😝hope you enjoy the time in China
best wish for you!Jos sinulla on kysyttävää huonevarusteista, kysy vapaaehtoisilta! He kertovat, miten sitä käytetään!.keep energy!
I think that she warned you because it could be slippery on those stairs. it would be a serious injury if you fell. They are responsible for you safety, and they dont want anything bad happen to any athletes. it is very important for them to make sure everyone has a happy and safe stay. no, it is not your own fault if you fall and injured. They would think that way, they definitely would feel bad if that happened.
huippu video! tsemppiä kisoihin 🥰
Kiitos 💪
Great video Lauri! Best Beijing 2022 VLOG I've seen yet! You guys are quite funny~ My wife and I visited Finland in 2019 and absolutely loved it (hope to live there one day). Anyway, we've been watching you and Joni and Ilvo and all the other Finnish skiiers and cheering you on from our TV screen. Good luck to you and have a great time in Beijing!

Thank you for the great video
I’ve watched all your video and found it enjoyable. However, you seem much too suspicious about everything especially the people. I’m British and living in China for 12 years and there’s a very large population of foreigners living and working in China. I’m living south of Shanghai but in that area there are 3 British universities, two American universities and several German and French universities. China is a wonderful place to live and the people are kind and generous… they’re also innocent by western standards. I hope you get a chance to discover that on your trip and I also hope you win lots of medals. Good Luck!
Hyvää kontsaa ja tsemppiä rinttii🦾🦾
When you open the door, the voice message is not tervetuloa, which means the door is unlocked. I really like your daily vlog. especially hope that if you have time to record the food in the Olympic Village, would like to hear your comments😝😝😝😝😝
hyvä video 👍.
Loistavanaa kontenttia Lauri! Tsemppiä kisoihin 👊
THANK YOU FROM MALAYSIA
Well done, poijat! Ontario Canada
Common man, do not think negative about the staff giving you advice. If you jump and get injured, the person in duty will be answerable to his superior on why you were not advised not to jump on slippery steps. And for God sake, the gyms are available so please head to gym and do your exercise. No one will ask you to stop exercising in the gym. You heard too much negative stuffs about China. This is not just your chance to win some medals but to also understand first hand what China is all about.
Tätä on odotettu🙏
Hope you can take 5 minutes to write a "thank you" email to the child who hand painted that small lovely painting for you in your gift bag. Every athlete receives one directly from one individual child.
I dunno, this guy came in with preconceived ideas and seemed to show a bit of pessimism about almost everything.
Thanks for the english subtitles
The red box is fire mask that must be prepared in advance in every hotel.

He was just trying to say that it was dangerous to jump on the slippery stairs. It's very common in China if someone see you might hurt yourself by accident. But the translation app lost the context and makes you feel weird with word-by-word translation.
cool technology
These apartments are going to be sold after the Olympics, and I’m quite interested in buying one for winter holidays. The bed is in the living room now and the real bedroom should be upstairs. It seems the toilet and central heat not functioning well, ‘em……
plumbing is a big issue, i would suggest you reconsider., the heating system can be easily fixed.
@@yggdrasill7811 no issue with the heating system and it's just locked for safety considering central air conditioning could spread virus. In China, all quarantine hotels are not allowed to use central AC.

Tsemppiä rinttii. 💪 Oisko live stream kova sprintin jälkeen, feat verkku? 😋
Compared to other room shown on YT this is tiny.
The so called "saving water" wc don't seems to work anywhere. More than 2 flush is needed and it ends up using more water than usual.
Good luck and stay safe.
Hey guys, welcome to Beijing~When you used the cardboard tag to touch door,It says"Yikaisuo",which means"Already Unlock"~~~but still,You Are Welcome~~~😁
Is it a hard plate bed? It's a high-tech remote-controlled massage bed. Hillbilly. Are you a Japanese fake product?
Wow its a loft apartment! Is different from others?
The pipes are normally small so people don't normally flush their paper and have a 'special' bin/bag for it. Remember to fold it nicely. 😅
You are funny 🤣
Don't you recognize the fire mask? it is common that hotel room equipped with Fire Mask for smoke protection in case of fire...
I think they did not display a Warning floor sign so had to tell you verbally it is slippery there. More like a health and safety protocol.
Well, they were still on the job so it's not cleared yet. No sign needed.
Maybe it is cultural gap? Jumping on stairs is a dangerous action, it is even covered by snow, very slippery, usually every warm hearted people passing by would try to stop this dangerous action. Besides, they look like from cleaning team? They have responsibility to make sure safety in the village
😂😂🤣🤣 =DDD
do you think they do not know?? they just want to badmouth china!! here in canada, everywhere put no path sign at beginning of stairs. in case someone slipped, they would not sue government!!!
@@mingli5040 they don't fr know =D that kind of stair jumping is commonplace here in Finland and in many other countries. don’t worry so much about people who really know how to manage their own actions

Ei jumalauta nuo kiinalaiset on kyllä ihme porukkaa. Sälli putsaa portaat rikkalapiolla :D

@Eddie Hughes seems like you didn't understand the initiator's comment correctly. the point throughout the comment was that the Chinese cleaned the stairs fr with a dustpan =DD it is maybe the most impractical cleaning tool for any snow work
Loistavaa materiaalia
Good luck with everything. not sure why you sound like you're in the enemy territory? Relax and have some fun and enjoy your stay with experience of a different culture, man. This is Olympic, you don't have to be so nervous.
Exactly. Lots of complaints.
Never appreciate how much efforts n resources put in to organise this Games for athletes from basically western countries.
Enjoy the hospitality of the host.
Be a good and thoughtful guest!
5:15 Tuo on palonaamio.

Taidat tarvita kiinalaisen ystävän vastaamaan kysymyksiisi.
Google & iPhone(Apple) are Data custodians of NSA along with Facebook & Microsoft. There's help available in the athlete's village to provide support & assistance for the athletes. Wish you & your team good luck for the Beijing Winter Games.
When you the door, it said "已开锁", meaning it is unlockeded.
5:17 the mysterious box is for fire emergency 😆
She means your jump is too dangerous, it could be dangerous, they pour water on stairs, it could be icy. Btw, the painting was done by Chinese kids, you should cherish it.
Also, as a Chinese, I can tell the toilet problem is not caused by "unfinished", it is actually because of the style of the toilet. In China, we drop the paper in the trash bin next to the toilet, which is weird (even in my opinion!). But anyway, most of the MALEs in China have faced the same problem as yours at some time point (well, females probably too, just females never tell!)🤣
Not weird at all, the westerners mostly live in small buildings and easy to flush a lot of toilets papers , most of Chinese live in big buildings and very easy to jammed into channels because big population live in the building.
Tsempit äijille kisoihin!
Kiitos 🙏

Oh. Is that the unfortunate Remi who got a part of him frozen in the 50km?
ha-ha 😁, Our Chinese toilet paper needs to be packed and thrown away separately after wiping our hips. It can't be washed away with water. It's not water-soluble. The red box in the cabinet is a protective mask, which can be used to save lives in case of fire. Look forward to the wonderful performance of all athletes.
that's not true, maybe some old chinese put the toilet paper into a trash bin i dont know, but I have never seen people does this in China.
