I am a current freshman (biology major) and I love it here! All academics here are truly amazing and the opportunities are limitless. People have been great and there are still ways to have fun even with COVID. I would definitely apply and see what happens, you have nothing to lose!

Currently a sophomore in hs going into criminal justice and psychology, PSU is my first choice! Still a long way to go though :)) This video was super helpful, thank you!
i grew up really close to psu and i know it’s a great school but i also know it isn’t the college town everyone makes it out to be. there is nothing to do outside of state college, it’s a lot of suburbs and open road. if you’re okay with that then definitely apply but i definitely think everyone should look up the area before going

Husband- 1976 Mech engineering
Daughter- 2011 Secondary Ed Math- had no interest in anything other than PSU. And ONLY wanted all four years at UP. Applied for and was accepted for LEAP which guaranteed UP placement as a freshman. Graduated and decided she did not want to teach. Currently a director of Program Management at a Biopharma Company. LOVED her four years at PSU.
Son- 2014 Nuclear Engineering- did one year at satellite campus, then remaining three years at UP. Had no interest in working as a nuclear engineer at graduation (noticing a theme here lol!?), currently director of Global Quality at the same Biopharma Company his sister is at 😬. LOVED PSU!
Hey kayla! I applied to Penn State a couple weeks ago and this video really made it my number 1 choice! I applied to Penn State Altoona only because I wanted to start off with a smaller campus
I was actually denied at first and then a couple days later admissions emailed me saying they were reconsidering my application! I got accepted yesterday!

Penn State is my first option for right after I get out of community college. I'm applying Spring 2021 for Spring 2022 as long as I can move into a dorm at that point since I'm out of state as well if not then Fall of 2022. I'm looking forward to hopefully attending and your video has gotten me hyped up :)

I got accepted!! I was talking to my parent on the phone and they said that they received a package saying congrats, and so when I checked the portal it said I was accepted!! Class of 2025 and college of Science at University Park baby!
I already applied for Landscape Architecture and I’m so nervous. Penn State has always been my dream school and I never thought that it would be reality for me to go there and it’s the only school I really want to go to and I have my heart set on it.

Today was actually 4 years since I got accepted into Penn State. I started as a Radiology Science major then changed it my second year to Biobehavioral Health at the New Kensington campus and planning to graduate next fall. We Are!

I am a Penn State Alumni, and I agree that every Alumni will try to convince you to go to Penn State.
I started college in 1982 at York Campus. My brother was the first in my family to go to Penn State. 1979-1982 Chem E. That started my exposure to this cult.
Associates degree in 84. Started working on Bachelors, changed majors a lot. Got sick of it and dropped out for just over 5 years. Came back in 1994 and finished my degree.
Got a bug up my ass and decided I wanted a Masters after my son graduated from Penn State in 2017 (his mom is also a Penn State Alumni). Got a Masters through World Campus - Black School of Business in 2020. 4.0 GPA. Also a great excuse to visit University Park (a lot) while studying. I live in North Carolina.
