- Skukuza Rest Camp Review | Kruger National Park
A place where adventure meets comfort and the wild heart of the Kruger National Park beckons you to explore.
Are you looking to stay in Skukuza Rest Camp? This video will give you an idea of how the camp looks like and what you can expect when in camp.
Skukuza is a big and busy camp. If you are looking for tranquility and privacy, this camp should not be your first choice. However, it has the most facilities of all the Kruger rest camps and it is ideal for first timers and families or people looking to use it as a stop over before going to other camps. Most important of all, it is situated in one the best areas for game viewing.

Very well described !!!
Thank you very much! I am glad you found this useful!
Thank you for such an awesome video highlighting Skukuza
It's a pleasure! Thank you very much for the kind words! Stay tuned, I am busy planning other videos as well.
By far the best descriptive review about Skukuza. Nicely done.
Thank you! I am happy I could add some value
Leon, what an excellent video! Was very entertaining and easy to watch! Just booked our first trip for december holiday
Congrats! After this trip, you will be hooked on the Kruger Magic! Thank you very much! I am happy this helped you with your booking and that you enjoyed the video!
Perhaps my favourite camp in the Southern Kruger.
It has a wide selection of roads to do daily, and is close to a major water source [the Sabie] And of course Lake Panic.
The camp itself may get a bit busy during the day, but evenings are great. The camp site also has some of the best ablutions in the whole park, and the camp site itself is large, flat and mostly private. Much better than the likes of Lower Sabie which is falling apart and Berg en Dal, which I have found does not have enough ablutions when at full capacity during holidays.
I agree, there are many roads and great attractions. Skukuza does get a bad rap, I feel that's well deserved over the busy periods, but the other times the camp and surrounds are great for me. Yes, unfortunately most of the camps are need in of some tlc.
any idea how to book the skukuza safari lodge? cant seem to find it in SANS or access its own website
Hi, I see they arey temporarily closed due to refurbishment and a change of management between 1 Jan 2024 and doors to open in Feb 2024. But I don't see when in Feb... Hopefully not too long from now. I am sure as soon as they are open they will accept new bookings. I will let you know when I see that they are open again.
