I'm a huge fan of the theory that the Minotaurs aren't Astartes but more highly evolved and perfected Thunder Warriors.

The Minotaurs author confirmed they are Loyalist Iron Warriors who were garrisoned on a world far off from the Heresy.
Asterion Moloch is also possibly Metallos Morax According to another leak by Eadwin Brown, he may actually be a Great Crusade-era Iron Warrior named Captain Metallos Morax* of the 103rd Company, 33rd Grand Battalion (the battalion's Siege Assault Vanguard, which happens to be the Minotaur's primary tactical specialization). Morax was demoted and exiled (giving him reason to turn against Perturabo) for "unnecessary aggression" and leading a reckless charge into the enemy to RIP & TEAR
He was also publicly shamed infront of both the Iron Warriors and Imperial Fists, giving him reason to change his name, tho still keeping his associated mythical beasts (Morax is the name of a minotaur demon of hell).
His name and equipment are inherited by the next Chapter Master, alongside his personality through way of engrammatically-enforced memories and personality (the Proteus Protocol). Brought up by the IA books (specifically on Moloc's character page) and supported by Eadwin Brown, who helped developed Moloc's character.
Damn now I kinda like them. IW are my favorite traitor legion

My favorite theory is old Thunderwarriors lead by an Eternal engaged in warp-based time-looping shenanigans.
A Perpetual Thunder Warrior would be an interesting concept.

The Minotaurs rock. And the Custodes may have the backing of the Golden Throne (I play Custodes) but let's not forget before Guilliman came back for the most part it's just the High Lords being in charge. Makes sense that their Praetorians would back them over a random Primarch popping back up. Both for their own gain and because it just makes sense if you're on the High Lord side. Add to that, the fact they have a lot of bad blood with the Ultra Marines and I find it not that weird they went against Guilliman.
Damn makes me want to make a Minotaur Army now but i'm already too invested in Custodes & Alpha Legion LOL.

Another theory about the trapped master is that every time he dies another space marine takes up the name and title so really it's not the same guy it's just different people pretending to be him

One of my favourite chapters mainly because their lore is interesting. Asterion is also awesome!
I like the idea of them being Thunder Warriors who were kept on.
Minotaurs are like Nobs who like to bully smaller, runtier Marine Boyz to keep them in line, or to crump'em if they're all out of whack in the eyes of the Imperium.
I would love to see a book with the Spacesharks & Minotaurs hunting rogue chapters.
And they both all die at the end

It would be interesting to learn what happened to Arik Taranis and Ghota after they were the last known surviving Thunderwarriors. Their dislike for other Astartes chapters and the Custodians does fit the theory they might be thunderwarriors with astartes modifications.

I wonder how would be a duel between Asterion Moloch and Tyberos the Red Wake.

Easy way to use those chapters is to throw them into the big meat grinder battles, such as the 3rd War for Armageddon. When they’ve done the damage and won the war, come in with the Minotaurs, Red Talons, Black Templars, and so on and so forth, with Custodes & Grey Knight support, and have them forcefully disbanded. Mindwipe the remaining Astartes and put them into the Death Watch on a permanent basis.
Take all the recruitment worlds, fortress monasteries, stations, ships, arms, armour, and equipment of those chapters and redistribute it to more palatable chapters.
Done.

I think i disagree here. We need some loyalist villians to keep the grim darkness grim. If we didn't, then the ultramarines and salamanders wouldn't stand out as different from the norm. I paint carcharodons so im curious if you'll include them as a chapter you could do without.

Agreed, there's always a stand-in. Or do what we did before AI art and put up a "No images for this so here's a random image".
My guys I literally used 1 image in the thumbnail because of lack of high res art, and I just thought it was cool because it didn't look like shit. Throwing assumptions around without understand motive is not a great practice.

In desperate cases when there is no proper artwork or the artwork is limited for illustration purpose, but I try to hold myself back from doing it because they are not accurate. If you talk about the one in the thumbnail , then I just thought it looked badass as f***

@@ambushbob5383 They are too useful to just kill off. They are specialised at hunting Astartes, so if you really wanted to kill them off at least let them take out a bunch of traitor marines with them.
Honestly, I usually unsubscribe as soon as a creator I watch uses AI art. It's taking away from commissioned artists and human creators, and contributing to the destruction of an entire trade, not to mention how soulless it looks. I enjoy your content but I hope this doesn't become the standard on this channel.
