Shooting my Taran Tactical SIG MPX 9mm carbine at the April Pinetucky Gun Club USPSA match. CSRA Pistol & Rifle Club. Central Savannah River Area, Georgia.
Im experimenting with the length of the buttstock. When it's longer & I shoulder it, the red dot meets my eye perfectly, making for faster target acquisitions... when it's shorter, I have to "fish around" for the red dot every time I shoulder it. So I think my next plan is to go back to a shorter stock, and then raise my optic up a little higher instead.
Jessica Hook Amazing how you can be that quick with a gun that don’t ”fit” perfectly. But it is how Jerry says, you have to train outside your comfort zone! Amazing job. Some day you outshoot Taran😉
Nice shooting Jessica. Would you mind sharing what you use for a trigger, handguard, and muzzle brake? Any tips for new shooters? Any good drills you recommend? Thanks.
Hello, yes they're live rounds, and no there is no silencer on the gun. It's a 9mm bullet coming out of a 16" barrel, so the noise & recoil are reduced out of the rifle/carbine.
Jessica Hook: IDPA started a Pistol Caliber Carbine classification series. Wanting to try that classification. Most shooters have the 16" version of the MPX. Nobody wants to deal with the ATF silliness to get a SBR. I have some gen-1 MPX magazines and more gen-2 mags. Heard the gen-1 magazines will fit the gen-2 MPX. Only difference is the color of the magazine keeper and two small cutout sections on the steel feedlips. I've heard there are no problems using gen-1 mags in a gen-2 gun, as long as 9mm-Lugar is used. I'll soon find out. Never shot a USPSA match. Only IDPA matches. Will be interesting to see how an MPX could be used in the self defense shooting style of IDPA. Nice shooting for this match. Are you going to IPSC Nationals?
Are u enjoying the pcc? I just built my own gun on an AR platform. I put a 1-1/2 lb trigger on it. Is that about what you have? I heard 25 yds is a good distance to sight the gun in. That sound right? In Dooly county today at my farm building a course. If you know anyone that would be interested in shooting here let me know. Bill
Im going bananas over PCC! Love it! I have a Hiperfire trigger in mine. I haven't measured it, but I'm guessing it's about 3 lbs. 25 yard zero sounds about right. Thanks for watching! :)
Thanks..so nice of you to respond. Do you think you will still do handgun comps? Pcc looks like less likely to dq. 😁. Cluck. I would love to come watch you sometime and get a few pointers. I'm getting started and I relate to you as your about the age of my daughter. You should be very proud!!!!
Im making it look easier than it is. I feel like the MPX has more recoil then my .223 AR15 which has a PRI muzzle brake on it. Im using the factory MPX barrel which has no muzzle brake, just a muzzle device/flash hider, pinned & welded so that the barrel reaches 16."
five hours of standing around for 0:56 second of shooting! i get about 5 minutes of shooting at similar matches. my advice -- slow down and enjoy the time.
Glad to see you’re posting your videos again. You have improve a ton, that speed on the trigger was pretty impressive.
Thanks! I'm excited to be back! :D
real nice
should be getting my MPX on monday. I will be shooting it at approx 8.41% of that level.
Outstanding, Performance!
Your the best Jessica! Keep up the good work! And I'm on CZcams like you! You my role model!

My thoughts exactly.
I just wondered if her buttstock is too long? The lift isn’t that smooth in my opinion

Nice shooting Jessica. Would you mind sharing what you use for a trigger, handguard, and muzzle brake? Any tips for new shooters? Any good drills you recommend? Thanks.

Cool!
Nice!!
Nice!
Lovely
Are these live rounds? Very silent for a gun. The silencer must be built in? . Very low recoil, too. Great!

I like Texas star's they're fun.
😍
Nice
Are you using the 8" barrel MPX or the.16" barrel version?
I'm using the Sig MPX Carbine, with factory 16" barrel.
