My interpretation of "Good Morning, Captain" is basically the ghost of the protagonist throughout the album (having offed himself in "Washer...", and "For Dinner" just being the rest of the world shuffling on without him or noticing he's even gone) looking back at his innocent, younger self, with that younger version of him being utterly terrified at what he would eventually become.

I've always recognized how "good" this album is, but honestly the only song I enjoy is Washer.
Just can't handle the slam poetry-esque flat talking on every other song, at least in Washer it sounds like there was some semblance of singing attempted.
