Just your passport…they don’t normally Ask for car papers but ,just take them in case you meet someone who ask for them …also carry cash for tall gate at the border

Which road did you use from Jhb to Lesotho 🇱🇸 because I’m also planning the same trip late June / early July 2024 and I’m told the roads are not pleasant especially deep Free State towards Lesotho and I was thinking to go via Bloem to avoid potholes…
I’m hoping it can snow just my dates while I’m there😀

The road has been fixed ….if you gonna be travelling from Jhb don’t go to bloem you will be going to the south part of Lesotho and Afri ski is in the north….unless you want to visit Maseru

Can one drive up the mountains with a small car like Suzuki Swift?
Basically asking if the snow diving up the mountain doesn't need a high raised car
Saw people driving Honda jazz & Mazda 2 …I don’t know if this helps ….not related to your question about snow, majority of the road is tarred…but I would worry about a small portion of gravel road which is less than a km from tarred road to Afri ski esp if you have a car with a low ground clearance……
They usually clear up snow on the road, if it’s too much that is…i personally worry about the icy road ,the curves and ever winding road, they usually advise people to drive during the day to avoid ice… but some small portions of the roads barely receive the sun …

Hey ,you actually don’t need much you only need your drivers license and passport but to be on the safe side maybe have your car papers with you but they hardly ever ask for them …hope you enjoy Afri ski
